  1. I actually took that advice from dr pintos assistant. It’s also mainly until my finasteride finishes and then il do dutasteride 5x a week. If you are good with 1mg finasteride everyday you should be fine with dutasteride. I just put my deposit down with dr freitas today so fingers crossed 🤞
  2. Feel like he would have already done it since his demand has been high from before but yh you could be right since they have a dedicated line for consultations now so the waiting list will only get longer.
  3. So I met Dr Pradeep a couple of days ago, as I said I had a surgery booked with him which I was pretty much going to cancel after seeing some recent cases but also because of the heavy tech involvement even at the 350+Rs package. I was open to meet him though to see if he could relieve some of my concerns. After showing him this case (among others) this is what he had to say (in brief summary): Temple points He said Eugenix has no reason to give someone a bad temple job, we offered many times that we can fix it for him (by implanting more grafts) but he refused this so what can we do? It could also be that he slept on the wrong side of the bed and due to that the angles came out poor. You cannot put all the blame on Eugenix. I asked him about the possibility of cases piling up for Dr Arika during the transition of scaling up with packages He responded that this notion about Eugenix sacrificing in quality due to the scale up is nonsense and that they always prioritise quality, they have no reason to botch anybody as their name and reputation is on the line. He makes clear that he wants to create 10 more Dr Pradeep's and that there is nothing wrong with scaling a business. I asked him about the extractions and the fact that despite the hair being short it still looks overharvested in areas especially for only 1400 grafts. He said everyone has different skin and genetics, the extractions were fine and he wasn't sure why captain haddock leaves his hair short, if Eugenix failed to tell him about this then Eugenix has failed in educating their patient about how a hair transplant occurs and the limitations of it. Overall he denies any over harvesting and says captain haddock must leave his hair longer to disguise. In Conclusion I have to say Dr Pradeep is definitely a passionate individual and cares a lot about his brand and the work he does, I respect him for that. The insensitivity that I felt from him though for the patients who have had sub par results didn't digest 100% for me. At the end of the day Eugenix have good results and some sub par results it is on you to do your research to see whether a clinic is right for you and your needs. P.S. I have been told by captain haddock to post this as he feels it's relevant to his case.
  4. Hey man great work by Dr Freitas, i was quoted the exact grafts from him too. I started dutasteride about 2 weeks ago doing 1 day dutasteride and one day finasteride so far everything has been good!
  5. Dr Zarev is a pioneer there is simply no one like him WOW I just came across this today. Congrats Hugo I am SPEECHLESS P.S. I tried to get a consultation with him a few weeks ago, they have a number on their website now, earliest date was October 2023.
  6. Thanks for the shout out bro, wishing you nothing but the best. Let us know how your meeting goes with Dr Pradeep too! Hope you have safe flight home.
  7. Thanks for the detailed write up and all the time you put into this thread it has been A+ and we have only just begun. Those temple points look amazing and am happy you got them just how you desired I think it looks fantastic man! Cant wait to see you grow everything out. Dr Das has done phenominal work! Now praying you have an amazing next 12 months which is where the real journey begins
  8. yh agreed your hair was already quite good. I am hoping that the scalp is restored a little with the addition of dutasteride.
  9. Pictures from the first day on finasteride This is the first day on finasteride and what my hair was looking like. Couple of years ago I didn't have this scalp thinning. I was using just minoxidil once a day on the hairline ONLY. As soon as I noticed this miniaturization on the scalp I started applying on scalp and decided to hop onto Finasteride. This is the hairline on the first day of finasteride. I don't think minoxidil has helped at all here but I continue to use in case it has slowed down the progression. One Year after Finasteride Nothing too significant in terms of re-growth. I noticed a little bit of density but apart from that I think I have maintained which is always good. Also keep in mind this was at 1mg every other day. From Feb till now I have been taking 1mg everyday. April 2022 (Below). Hairline I think was maintained but nothing in terms of regrowth. Not too much in the scalp either but I have maintained. I have decided to go with dutasteride 0.5mg followed by finasteride 1mg alternating between the two until I have finished my finasteride supply after which I will switch to dutasteride 5x a week. My hope is that I will have some regrowth in the scalp. I want to stabilise this area as much as possible so that I am a good candidate for hairline restoration. I would love your views on my hair and whether you think I am a good candidate for a hair transplant atm (on my hairline) thank you! Will continue updating this thread I will do the next one in 3 months.
  10. Looking AMAZING berba congrats man it's night and day of a difference. I know you have your slight worries and I am looking forward to see what Dr Pradeep says about it!
  11. HI I will be documenting my journey on this thread to show my experience on switching from fin to dut. I started taking fin from January 2021. I remember I was extremely nervous as I took my first pill at night and then kept waking up mid night regretting what I had done and that I was never going to perform ever again xD. I am 27 years old and I actually started finasteride when I was 19 at 0.25 mg a day, I did it for a week and then quit because I was too scared (I wish I didn't). I started the pill on Jan 2021 at 0.5mg a day everyday, I had no side effects and was really happy about that. I then switched to 1 mg every other day after 3 months and kept that up for a year. 1 year later I switched to 1mg everyday (shout out @NARMAK )as I felt my vertex slight crown thinning had stayed the same for a year. It's been 1 year and 3 months now being on finasteride and 3 months at full dose (NO SIDE EFFECTS THANK GOD) but I feel like my crown hasn't improved. My overall hair density has definitely improved but I want to recover my crown a bit and was told my Emilio (Dr pinto's assistant) that I should have started at 1mg everyday because atm it looks like it hasn't had too much of an impact. Due to this I decided to switch to Dutasteride as of yesterday (20/05/2022),I am going to take it everyday for 5 days a week and rest 2 days. I currently was also doing minoxidil once a day but have now increased that to twice a day since a week ago. I am contemplating getting onto oral but still researching. I was extremely nervous about Dutasteride but so far nothing has happened, fingers crossed it stays that way. I am a NW 2/3 with slight thinning in the vertex. Will keep everyone updated on my experience with Dutasteride, really hoping this drug will help me close that vertex and thicken it up. Just want to stabilise my hair loss as much as possible and then recover my hairline through a hair transplant. Let me know if you have any questions! P.S. will upload pictures when am home!
  12. Hairline looks amazing man. I am glad your concerns were thoroughly looked into!
  13. What a journey, your write up has been excellent with so much detail it's going to help a lot of people out. I am extremely impressed by Dr Das! looking forward to your pre and post op pics. Hope the bump didn't cause any damage to new grafts, did you get to ask Dr Das on whether your head looked fine afterwards?
  14. Hey man sorry you had to go through that scare but am glad you and driver eventually linked up! Hope your journey goes smooth I completely understand your concern with the clinic but see what kind of vibe is given to you and make your decision from there. Remember this is a life changing procedure , ONLY go ahead if you feel 100% confident in the clinic. There is nothing wrong with cancelling at the last minute it’s your head. With that being said I do hope that if you do decide to go ahead with it that you have a very successful surgery and they look after you 🙂
  15. jeez you took me on a ride with that one. Hope your knee gets better and what an excellent write up that was better than any of the books they used to make us read in the english classes back in secondary lol. I am glad you managed to get on to the plane man, everything will be smooth sailing from here! Keep us updated.
