Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)
JoeMan replied to Fue3361's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Yeah I understand the reason for it but I just can't imagine 3 months on both. I'm not even sure that it's healthy for your body. Maybe your hair will thrive but has this been studied for other affects? I've never heard of someone taking both before. Either way, the OP survived lol and the hair took off so maybe his Dr is onto something. -
Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)
JoeMan replied to Fue3361's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Your case is very interesting for sure. Your hair grew so fast from month 2 to 3. I can't Imagine taking viagra and cialis together but it appears to work. 10k seems like a bargain for this level of work and still time to get better. Congratulations! -
Dr Yaman or Dr Bicer?
JoeMan replied to Bringonthehair's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
This ☝️ Also consider that Dr's pay a fee to be recommended here. Some Dr's might not want or need to pay for this. So for Dr. Gur to be recommended, it would have to be a mutual agreement between both parties. This is why the list is a good starting point but that doesn't mean other Dr's shouldn't be considered. Look at real patient reviews to make your decision.- 16 replies

They are very similar Dr's in how they operate their clinics but I'm sure if you look at their work, you'd see some differences in HL design. Dr. Pinto is a little cheaper as well but that doesn't mean he's not as good. I chose Dr. Ferreira but I didn't know about Dr. Pinto at the time. Maybe get consultations from both if you can and this will help you decide.

Have HT Surgeons Begun to Charge Too Much?
JoeMan replied to trynagetaHT's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
This sounds like a hair mill you are describing. Dr. Ferreira was the only person who touched my head. A few other Dr's perform every stage of surgery as well. Plenty of other Dr's use techs to help extract or implant. What matters is results though so every Dr has their own methods. What big name clinics are you referring to? -
Where are you from? Are you seeing him in Atlanta?

Have HT Surgeons Begun to Charge Too Much?
JoeMan replied to trynagetaHT's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
My surgeon (Dr. Ferreira) was 3€ a graft. Works 4 days a week Tue-Fri. About 1500 grafts a day. I'd bet most take quite a few vacations as well. Do they make good money, absolutely! But for 1.5€, find me a Dr that is exceptional. They'd be booked for 2-3 years. You get what you pay for in most things in life and a HT are no exception. Sure, some Dr's are a better value of course. Very few world class Dr's exist and they are all booked a year plus. Most are raising prices right now because they can. Supply/Demand. I think your numbers are way off as well since most quality Dr's don't see so many per day. -
Transferring Euros (UK)?
JoeMan replied to BaldingtimetoLdar's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Transfer Wise or now I think it's just called Wise is an app that I used to transfer money to my Dr. I'm from the US but I believe it does many different currencies. -

Just checking in to see how you're progressing. Maybe an update if you have time. Thanks! -
Dr Yaman or Dr Bicer?
JoeMan replied to Bringonthehair's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Remember that you get what you pay for. Cheap Surgeons have higher failure rates. If they had a surgeon performing 3k hair transplants perfectly, they'd have a 3 year waiting list. Can some of them provide a decent result, sure. But, they also likely have a much higher rate of dissatisfied customers. This is not to say that a 50k HT is required. I'm just saying that maybe look at other Dr's as well. Most of Turkey is a scam and if you can afford it, I'd look elsewhere. Dr. Pinto is pretty good in Portugal as well. Plenty of others out there if you do some research.- 16 replies

Dr Yaman or Dr Bicer?
JoeMan replied to Bringonthehair's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Turkey is really not the best place for a HT. Dr. Biçer is pretty good and HLC seems ok as well. After that I think it drops off quite a bit but maybe a couple of other clinics do good work. I'd look a Dr. De Freitas in Spain, he's a little more than Dr. Biçer but he's considered one of the best in the world right now. Where are you from? Can you post pictures of your hair? You can blur your face if you need to.- 16 replies

Dr. Biçer is worth the extra money in my opinion. Why only these 2 though? Why only Turkey Dr's? Much better Dr's elsewhere for not much more.- 16 replies

3,528 Grafts Dr. Bruno Ferreira Jan 11 & 12
JoeMan replied to JoeMan's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Thanks @MazAB, your case is definitely an inspiration. I'm on a similar vitamin regimen and so far I'm seeing some early growth. Not sure if I can attribute it to the vitamins of course. Appreciate your encouragement as I can't wait to exit this phase. -
Sorry this happened to you but maybe it's best to recommend that people just stay away completely. They seem to be one of the worst places someone can go for a HT.

Sleeping after a Hair Transplant
JoeMan replied to ML488's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
To me, it was the worst part. I used a neck pillow on top of a regular pillow. I usually lay on my side so I put my hand under my cheek area and slept like this. I woke up many times the 1st week worried about messing it up though. The neck pillow definitely helped. When is your surgery? -
Turkey is full of hair mills that scar people for life. Go to a professional and reduce your risk of a failed HT. Turkey is really not a great place for a HT all together so take your time and do research before proceeding. Going to a doctor with no known cases seems like a horrible idea and I hope that you realize that the worst likely will happen. Hair Transplant Surgery is a surgical procedure that requires real skills to perform well. You want the end result to look natural. This takes many years of practice for top Dr's to achieve. A shady clinic hasn't performed enough surgery to gain the required skills and will likely screw up your hair.

Can you share pictures? At 3 months you had some growth it seems. -
I had a similar issue a year ago and had to do the same thing(Email directly). They lost my pictures afterwards though and it took some time for my consultation because of it. Once they realized it was lost, they did expedite the process though. I'd say just check in on them in a week or 2 to be sure they have them if you haven't already received a confirmation email. I waited like 2 months figuring they were that busy. Good luck! Excellent choice
