  1. PRP is questionable at best. If you have money to burn then go for it as it can't hurt. But it's usually very expensive and results are not well studied. Can you please share a picture of your donor area?
  2. Yes, Please give us an update. Are you happy with your results now? Or will you get a touch up?
  3. While I'm not familiar with this Dr, several Dr's not listed as recommended are actually really good Dr's that plenty of people in this forum recommend quite a bit. I believe that recommended Dr's have to pay a fee to be recommended by this forum. That's not to say that any Dr with money gets recommended though as I'd think that they still have to meet and maintain some standard of high quality results. So I'm sure it's a mutual agreement. If a Dr has enough business and doesn't want to pay to advertise, then he will never be recommended here no matter how good he is. In the end, base your decision on research and real patent reviews as the recommend list is a good guide and starting point but doesn't include every top Dr.
  4. Dr. Ferreira recommend not getting sunburned for 1 year. Not exactly sure what happens if so.
  5. I am thrilled so far. If the growth continues then I believe in about 6 weeks I can style my hair again. I'm sure it will still be thin but not wearing a hat everywhere will be nice. Regarding the 3500 grafts, remember I had about 200 placed in my crown area and I believe about 150 total between both temples. So more like 3150 on frontal third. My head is very small though. I actually rarely wear adult hats as most large kid hats fit me. I think the Dr was attempting to make this a 1 and done surgery for me though so maybe this is why? Honestly I'm not sure but I'm glad he did what he did so far.
  6. I know others have touched on this but I just wanted to give my knowledge/experience on surgery in general. Unfortunately, throughout my life I've had numerous surgical procedures, all medically necessary, except for my HT. Not one of them has been without consequences though. Nerve damage in almost every single one. Infections that ate muscle and tendon. Surgical errors that required 4 more surgeries and 2 years of my life to repair. Of course the mental toll of research and finding the best Dr to repair you afterwards. The Dr to repair you is never in your neighborhood either. I've traveled throughout the US for the best Dr's. Surgery is not trivial. I know personally, I used to believe that doctors were all well trained. I believe we put far too much trust in them. They are human and despite what we believe, modern medicine is not that old. How long do you think the medical procedures you are getting have actually been performed on a regular basis? To get all of this done in a short time frame also seems alarming. Each surgery poses major risks and I just hope that you understand that the risks are real. You really can end up with nerve damage or loss of movement in your face. Or even disfigured and look or feel worse than before. I know that you believe that you have selected the best Dr's and hopefully you have. But, understand that these Dr's all have clients that have been butchered by them. Every Dr makes mistakes. Just like the best HT surgeons have bad cases. I just hope that you go into this with your eyes wide open and understand the true risks involved as they are not trivial. Either way, I wish you luck in your journey and hope that everything goes well for you.
  7. I'm not sure how many have 1 year lists for show. I was on Dr. Ferreira's wait list for about 9 months I believe. I even asked to be contacted if a cancelation appeared. Never got a call. I also didn't pester them about it either so maybe if every month I would've kept in touch it would have been different.
  8. @SadMan2021 you can sell him your date coming up 🤣🤣
  9. Sounds like a lot at once. Not sure everything you are having done though. Either way, I think if you have money to burn, some top clinic will take it to move you up. I'm sure celebrities don't wait a year. But I agree with @Melvin- Moderator that waiting isn't that bad. You should also consider that by picking the a doctor based on how quickly they take you probably isn't a great strategy. Ideally, you should get consultations from many clinics and decide based on that and real patient posted results of cases similar to yours.
  10. If you like Dr. Ferreira, maybe waiting a year will be worth it. Allows you to save more. I also think Dr. Pinto in Portugal as well is like 2.6€ a graft. He sounds just like Dr. Ferreira in that he's a perfectionist with 1 surgery per day. Dr. Biçer would be another option but I personally like the Portuguese Dr's more.
  11. Dr. Bisanga had about a 6 month list when I looked last year. I bet certain clinics would take extra money to move you up.
  12. I'd say follow your clinic guidelines. Best not to deviate from their plan. Mind me asking what Dr? It is only 3 days different... Maybe they are just very conservative.
  13. What did your Dr suggest? A good clinic should give instructions. If not, I believe around Dat 10 you can start getting a little more aggressive. Like letting the water run over your head longer and lightly rubbing with finger tips. I believe Melvin or Ralondos has a youtube video about it if you look up their channels.
  14. I agree with your 1st sentence but not your 2nd. Immune Cells Are Chief Orchestrators of Healing The redness and swelling that follow the hemostasis phase occur as a result of the dilation of local blood vessels to allow immune cells to enter the damaged site. The first responders are cells known as neutrophils and these remove foreign material and bacteria from the wound. The next wave of immune cells to arrive at the scene includes monocytes. These cells normally reside within the spleen and bone marrow, and can be mobilized in response to injury or infection. Once in the wound, these cells can differentiate into cells called macrophages, which coordinate the wound healing response. Macrophages can be thought of as the immune system’s “construction workers.” They clear the damaged site of debris in order to lay the foundations for tissue repair. These cells were originally described as their name suggests as “big eaters” (macro = big, phage = eat). They use their “eating” capacity in order to clean the site before repair occurs. This lays the groundwork for the proliferative phase where macrophages resolve the inflammatory phase and shift towards tissue repair. I can send you the link to the Harvard paper sited above.
  15. Actually, I caught Covid not long after my procedure. Nothing happened. Luckily it was like a mild cold. I actually think it may help some since you body ramps up the immune system. This will likely heal your HT a little quicker. Either way, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just take lots of vitamins C, D and Zinc.
  16. Another thing to try is leg exercises. Don't skip leg day. Ride a bike a few times a week. Apparently leg exercises boost T.
  17. This is what I was trying to say, just shorter 🤣
  18. I don't have a good answer about how to prevent hair loss while using testosterone. I would ask your Dr and hopefully someone else on here with experience can chime in. What I would say though is that your overall health is probably more important. If you truly have low T, then Testosterone therapy is probably helpful. I think it's probably wise to get on finasteride but like you said it can cause gyno. But I think gyno from fin is usually reversible? Although Testosterone can reverse gyno I believe too. Hormone therapy is tricky so make sure your Dr is experienced in the field. Overall, I think, and I say this lightly because I'm not a Dr, that if you truly are low and get on testosterone to just put your body in a normal range, then you should be ok. I know a few guys at my gym that take steroids but not for this reason and 1 suffers hair loss from it. He's also 45 and takes finasteride and minoxidil ( hair actually just looks age appropriate). Not sure this helps but I know their ranges have to be through the roof. They've been on them for 20 plus years. So by this small sample, I believe it has a lot to do with genetics. Likely the 1 guy balding was going to lose his hair anyway. Again I'd seek out a very experienced Dr before you proceed. Another option might be to post this question on a gym blog. You'd be surprised or not 🤪 by how much they know about testosterone therapy.
  19. That does seem strange but maybe the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing? With different offices all over, I'd imagine communication within the different clinic staffs gets harder. I'd like to think that it's not just about taking your money though. Personally, I believe that they should refund you your consultation fee. Your time is just as valuable and to not have contacted you prior to your scheduled consultation is very unprofessional.
  20. I believe I saw someone else post about his customer service recently. I'm sure he's a good Dr but maybe he's under staffed. Personally it would concern me but in the end the results are what really matter.
  21. Thanks for posting but can you show pictures of your hair loss? In the pictures provided, it looks very full. Good luck with your procedure!
  22. While I agree completely that it's not worth it, if you have money to burn, I don't think it can hurt you either. It's likely snake oil. I personally would skip it but it's really up to you. After taking it, it's almost impossible to tell if it works anyways. I think if you are in good health, along with the proper vitamins and nutrients, then your hair will grow fine. In fact, some would argue that even bad health and drinking/smoking will still do fine. I saw Dr. Bisanga I believe talk about something like this with Melvin. He basically said that after 10 days, you almost can't screw it up. The most important thing you can do is select a good Dr. Who is your surgeon?
  23. I doubt she's doing 4k in 1 day. I'm sure it'd spread over 2 days. I still like other Dr's better but for Turkey, she's one of only a few worth going to.
  24. Were you taking any medication prior to your hair falling out?
