  1. Listen, I get it. Eugenix definitely has a fan club here. The Moderator and many other very active members have pulled the trigger with them. This obviously forms some bias towards the clinic since they went there and found the service an enjoyable experience. Some have great results, others are still waiting for their results to grow. So while I agree, Eugenix gets promoted by many here, I'm not sure it's not warranted. These same members promote other clinics as well though so it's not like I see them tell every person to go to Eugenix. As far as people being honest, I'm not sure what you mean by this? I'm guessing you asked people how much they paid and they won't tell you? Does that change how much you'd pay? Or are you accusing them of getting discounts? I guess I'm not sure what you are saying here?
  2. I think Dr. Biçer is the best of the ones listed but I personally would look outside of Turkey for your case if you can afford it. Dr. De Freitas in Spain wouldn't cost too much more, about 6k€ for 2k grafts I believe and he's one of the best in the world. The Dr's you list aren't in the same league.
  3. I agree, I bought mine to protect me from an extended stay due to Covid. Are you having FUT? What is twilight sedation? If it's FUE, I think they just give you a mild sedation.
  4. Also can you post pictures pre operation then directly post operation? This might help to see where hair was placed. Also, naming the clinic would be helpful. I'm sure they won't offer a refund and at best if they offer to fix it would you trust them?
  5. I'm very sorry to see this happen to you. I can tell that it's mentally draining you and I hope you find a solution. I'm not sure there is an easy solution but possibly Eugenix can help you? They seem to be the best at really tough cases. Don't jump into anything quickly as I'm worried you could get scammed again if you base a decision on your emotions currently. This will take time, so do your research and listen to people that have been through this before. I haven't, but plenty on this forum have, so maybe they can help. @Gatsby maybe you can help here by giving real life experience on how to proceed?
  6. Allianz Travel insurance is who I use but I'm from the US so I'm not positive that this applies. They seem reputable. Used them a few times but never filed a claim.
  7. And if you continue to wait the price might go up, as I believe Dr. De Freitas is going to raise his price soon. No inside knowledge here but it's definitely a trend if you look around.
  8. Looking really good! In 6-8 weeks you're going to have a new hair style.
  9. I'd be curious to see pictures as well if you don't mind. I think I'd go for Dr. De Freitas at the moment. Dr. Ferreira apparently just increased his price to 3.5€ and Dr. Pinto did as well, close to 3€ I believe. This actually makes Dr. De Freitas a decent amount cheaper. 3000 grafts with Dr. Ferreira = 10,500€ vs Dr. De Freitas should be 8,500€ if I'm not mistaken. But you live in Portugal so the travel is less I'm sure. In the end, it really comes down to selecting a Dr and going with it. If it's one of the Portuguese Dr's then just wait for them. I'm sure all 3 will do an excellent job so pick one and don't look back.
  10. I agree with waiting but nothing wrong with booking with a surgeon that's about a year out. Personally I didn't wait quite a year but I'm also 44 and hair was fairly stable. I think that is the most important thing. You want your hair to be stable before moving forward and it will take about a year to assess whether it is. At least you are looking at good surgeons which is half the battle. If you can afford it, an in person consultation with Dr. Bisanga might be worth it in about 6 months. He's definitely one of the best.
  11. While Dr's can vary in what they say, I just don't understand how they can clearly assess your situation with the pictures/SMP. Honestly an in person consultation might be best but I know it's not always easy. If not I'd grow it out longer for a real assessment. While I'm sure it looks silly growing out, it will look worse after a HT and I think it will help get real graft numbers for your consultation.
  12. Some pictures would help. I agree on Dr. Diep as I've seen a few questionable results but some people like him. I think maybe H&W in Canada might be an option but not sure about waiting list. Unfortunately good Dr's seem booked up at the moment. Some a year or more out. I wouldn't put time as my sole factor though.
  13. Go to Portugal, Dr. Pinto or Dr. Ferreira. Portugal is very open to unvaccinated people. Yes you will require a Covid test to fly out. Another test before surgery and another to return but this is necessary anyway. Some restaurants may require a test as well but even vaccinated Americans might have to show a test result because they are supposed to only take the EU vaccine passport. Overall it was very open. Likely have a 1 year wait anyway since they are booked about a year out.
  14. Look, it sounds like you are not listening and getting our point. Do research, pick a Dr you are comfortable with that has a high probability of success. That's how much it will cost. As with all things in life, you get what you pay for. Your level of risk may be higher than mine, which seems to be the case since you are trending for another hair mill. This means your minimum amount is different from mine as well. It's all subjective. As for Eugenix, I don't think I'd get their cheapest package either so I'm not sure who said they had the best technicians. In the end, it's your head and your decision to make. We can only give our opinions, which we have several times and you basically repeat the same question.
  15. Some questions were raised in that thread that were never addressed. Easy questions. If a Dr doesn't have the proper equipment, which was questioned by another forum recommended Dr, then I think people should be aware. It was a simple question that was glossed over several times. Then the fact that you yourself seem to question if he's trending towards a hair mill style. Then his response about Covid. Not once was an reasonable reason given for that case. All of this is fine, but then people can and will speculate that he doesn't have the equipment. I wouldn't trust him with my hair. Personally, I don't think he's a top Dr and I don't think it's wrong for me to say so. We all have opinions and if you feel he's one of the best in Turkey then that's your opinion. The case from Dr. Ferreira at least had a valid response from what seemed to be a caring Dr. Not some blab about Covid and lowering prices. When Eugenix had a case recently, they had a valid response as well.
  16. Then spend 5k and let us know how it goes. The minimum is much less honestly. As long as you are willing to roll the dice. So you can likely get on much cheaper than 5k. You'll have money left for a hat if it doesn't work out lol
  17. Dr Biçer is bare minimum in my mind so now you know you budget. 7k. Dr Yaman might be forum recommended but I don't think he's consistently putting out good results. Look at @digi23 case for reference.
  18. Where do you see the amazing results? Probably the same places you saw results from your 1st clinic I'd imagine? Not to be harsh but you are definitely heading down the same path as before. It's your hair and as you're already aware, bad clinics can and do make mistakes. A HT Dr should be selected carefully. Personally I'd stay out of Turkey all together but with your budget, this is not possible.
  19. Have you received a quote from Dr. Biçer? It doesn't seem like you would need 3500 grafts which would be 7k€.
  20. If you don't have enough money for a HT with a good Dr then I'd wait. You've gone through this once and didn't seem to learn your lesson it seems. Dr. Biçer and HLC are about the only 2 in Turkey I'd consider. I don't think Dr. Yaman is up to par either. If you want a good result then you will have to spend more. This is not to say that a cheap clinic can't provide a good result from time to time but it's risky because they likely screw up a lot as well. If they had a clinic putting out 5k HT flawlessly, they'd be the talk of this forum and booked 2 years solid. Unfortunately, the truth is that you get what you pay for in most things, HT included. So take your time a choose wisely. If it means saving more then it might be best, since an additional repair will cost you even more in the long run.
  21. Be very careful with choosing a Dr for your hair type. Dr. Bisanga is someone I hear recommended for afro hair. It's far more complicated as the hair follicles have a curve to them and can be killed during extraction if not done correctly. I would steer clear of Turkey and Mexico for this as your hair can look much worse without an experienced Dr.
  22. The new hair is likely to stay because it isn't susceptible to DHT but this isn't always perfect. Unfortunately the other hair that wasn't translated on the top and crown will continue to fall out eventually without medication. With 25k budget, stay away from Turkey. I'd consult Dr. Bisanga as he's one of the most experienced Dr's. He's likely worked with or seen cases like yours.
  23. I guess to be even more clear, I think any Dr that takes on your case with the picture you presented likely is unethical. Unless the picture you presented doesn't accurately present your case, your hair would look worse going lower as @DrTBarghouthi has already said.
  24. I don't think Dr. Yaman is a good choice for you. Sure, he's cheap but if you proceed, you'll need an experienced surgeon in female hair design. Like others, I believe that your hair looks great and quite natural. I think it would be a bad idea to proceed with a hair transplant when it appears that you have an excellent HL. Unless I'm missing something, you have a better hairline than the case you presented below your picture. I understand your desire to lower it, but I'd caution you to really do some research before proceeding. You have really dark hair and light skin. This combination makes low density hair transplants look obvious since they look thin. Also consider that very few surgeons have much experience with females. Female hairline is different from a male and you need to ensure that your surgeon can get max density and the design correct. Even then, with the best surgeon, things can go wrong and you can look worse than before. So be sure that you understand the risks involved in this type of surgery. This is your head and more specifically, your hairline. It's what everyone sees first when they look at you and an unnatural result will be noticeable. This is why I would pass on on going to Dr. Yaman. I don't think he's refined enough for this case.
