  1. How old are you? Do you work out or exercise? Are you in faily good health and shape? What kind of side-efects, ED? How severe was it? Did you try taking half pill instead ? or even space it out, taking every other day instead of every day? I don't believe Topical is a side effect free solution because of skin absorption into bloodstream, so be careful, it's not FDA approved.
  2. Could you send more photos to update your progress?
  3. I'm very skeptical about this. How does this even work? If these drugs are a 5α-reductase inhibitors, 5AR is what converts T to DHT. So these drugs do not block DHT directly. When you put it on top of your head, the DHT is already there acting, theoretically it won't block DHT.
  4. I saw a video online that a doctor recommends taking the 1mg every other day as opposed to every day. The youtube channel is called The Hair Loss Show
  5. I don't want to discredit you but I find it hard to believe Dutasteride causes less side effects than Finasteride. But I guess everyone is different
  6. I'm very skeptical about this. How does topical dutasteride not cause the same side effects as Finasteride or worse, it all going to be assimilate by the body and the blood. There's probably a reason why FDA didn't approve this yet. And also, $55 ??? That's insane
  7. @UnbaldEagle thanks, I'm not gonna buy it, just wanted to know. I prefer to use local products.
  8. @mustang did what? stem cell injections? Can you share more? Do you have hair or are completely bald?
  9. What I learned from clinics that I called is that exosomes has to be injected with stem cells, not on their own. And it does provide good results with 1 shot if your hair is thinnning, not if you are already bald. It costs around $5,000 as of today and it's so new(ish) that it hasn't been aproved yet by the FDA for hair loss. So this practice is still being done kinda illegally, not sure if that's the correct term. I'd love to know what the long-term side effects really are.
  10. It looks like exosomes really works if you are thinning. You can get a shot for $5,000 and so the future is bright
  11. @Melvin-ModeratorI read here that you stopped taking finasteride. In my other thread, I report that I also stopped fin but that it led to further loss of hair after I already had a successful HT. Now my hair looks worse than before HT. So I've decided today to give it another try, back to fin and take half pill or start with least 1/4. Since you posted here that you stopped fin in 2016, I'd like to know if you have any updates about your hair as well, and if you went back to fin as well
  12. I posted this in another thread, Toppik hair fattener has been good for me
  13. Has anybody used this Shiseido The Hair Care Adenovital Shampoo, sold on amazon? Can you share results or insights?
  14. Where to buy alfatradiol or fluridil ? Can't find this anywhere
  15. @Steeeve hi Steve, thanks for sharing ur story. it looks great. I have a couple of questions: Are you going to do a second HT in the future? Are you taking finasteride?
  16. Thanks for the responses. Please look at my original post. I edited it with photos. Now I'm looking to do PRP/Exosomes and my second HT. I appreciate any insight
  17. I hope someone here has had the same experience I'm having. I've had my 1st and only FUT ~2,400 grafts about 8 years go with Dr. Rahal when I was 30, I'm an NW 6 but I was still a NW2/3 back then due to finasteride (took it for 10+ years before the HT). One year after, it looked great in the broad daylight, great density. Stopped taking fin (due to side-effects, I'm not going back to it) and I've been losing more and more hair over time. It makes sense I'd loose in the back but my question is about the recipient area in the front, that looks worse than before the HT. I can see through in very low light. Concealers are not helping anymore. I thought the transplanted hair wouldn't fall anymore. Is it because I'm losing the non-transplanted hair and the HT hair was mixed with non-transplanted hair? If yes, seems like I should have waited and just used toppik at the time, until I lost more hair so the HT would have been done with more available area and thus with higher density to begin with? What's the usual density of a HT? Is it normal to have 2 surgeries for more density? Would another HT create more density? I'm also exploring exosomes and PRP but if my non-transplanted hair is gone, then this won't help and I should prob have another HT. I'm going to pay for a consultation soon but thought I should ask here first cos all clinics I inquire wants to charge me a fee. And would be good to have different opinions. I'm also e-mailing a patient advisor from Dr. Rahal and will post here updates. Thank you EDIT: Photos before HT in 2012, and a photo today 2021 - sorry if it's not good quality. Unfortunately I don't have any photos after HT where I can show the head full of hair but trust me, it was full of hair, no complains, I was very happy with it
