  1. Dr. Kostas's hair looks great. I was kinda wondering how his result turned out
  2. Dr. Konior said that if there's one thing you shouldn't do, it's get hit and disturb the grafts. Everything else is not recommended but it's not gonna mess it up like physically disturbing the grafts. That said, if you can't stop weed for a month in order to get the best result possible you probably have self-control issues.
  3. You got your transplant April 23rd? Do you have any recent pictures?
  4. 10k is the kinda money where you don't have to go to Turkey lol. Go to Europe - you pay more than Turkey but the pro is that you have EU consumer protections on your side and you open yourself up to some of the best doctors in the world
  5. Larger punches also lower the risk of transection though transection rates are ideally quite low already.
  6. Yeah I'm WFH indefinitely at this point and hoard vacation/sick days like crazy so I've seriously been considering staying there til they kick me out. With my company transitioning to more of a WFH situation, I could probably live a digital nomad lifestyle for a bit while making a first world country salary
  7. Hair loss is the only thing I ever wonder "why me" about. With almost everything else, I'm fantastic at just looking forward and soldiering on. Might be my GF rubbing off on me cause she's always saying stuff like "it's not fair I don't deserve this" if one of her coworkers says something mean to her lol. For me, I usually just take a step back and think how lucky I am and focus on the good things in my life. Pretty blessed in all areas of my life. Good job, great gf, supportive family, financially stable enough to pay for an HT out of pocket without having to worry about next months rent etc etc. Yeah you should definitely check out Dr. Hasson's live chat. It's one of the more exciting ones that I've watched. A big part of the chat was to promote his new topical dutasteride formulation which he's been testing I think for a couple years. Supposedly coming out sometime in 2022 iirc. They're just testing the dosage recommendations now. I wish I could just put it out of mind. I've still gotta do a ton of things... I probably have to talk to a derm soon too since I'm worried I might have seb dermatitis or scalp psoriasis. I get pretty bad dandruff if I don't wash my hair daily. Do you have a derm recommendation from around Toronto for hair loss? I'm gonna see if I can take care of the dandruff soon then I can relax and look forward to a month or two in Spain. Gonna get fat off Tapas. Supposedly the culture there, they give you a free tapa (?) with your first drink so people there just barhop the whole night so that the tapa supply never runs dry. My kinda people lmao. And congrats on the job. I guess everything is opening up again which is nice to see in Toronto. You working downtown?
  8. $100 is a lot for topical dut since you only have to apply it like once or twice a week. I'm gonna take the under on this. At the end of the day they're still competing with stuff like FUEClinic, MinoxMax and the pills. Even if it was $100 though I think I'll pay it... I don't even have stuff to spend my money on anyway I think it has been for quite a while with Dr. Mwambas formulation. I feel a bit better with Dr. Hasson's formulation since it seems like he's gone through a lot of testing
  9. Yeah I definitely feel you about how common it is. Every time I go outside, it seems like half the guys are bald or receding so I feel pretty lucky to be able to get a transplant and get on AAs. I'm pretty hopeful about Dr. De Freitas since Adam87 and BjornBorg both got really solid results from Dr. De Freitas and I'd honestly love to go back to not worrying about my hairline anymore. But man, I'm like 6 months away and I haven't done a single thing to prepare lol. I'm just dragging my feet on preparing. No flights, no hotels, no passport and no AAs though I've done some research on it all. I've kinda just been putting off pulling the trigger on topical dut. It's just making me feel a bit nervous too cause I feel like I should be taking an AA before getting a transplant especially since Dr. De Freitas wants his patients to be taking something before they get a transplant... I feel okay about topical dut since Dr. Hasson and Dr. Mwamba have both said good things about it though I still have to pull the trigger. Any chance you're (planning on) taking topical dut by the way? Did you hear about Dr. Hasson's planned formulation? I just want to be done with it all so I can look sharp for my friends wedding lol. I got a really solid suit from suit supply and the drape on it is incredible + it's like the only suit where my chest doesn't make the lapels pop out. I can't wait for it. I already know my friend is gonna be wearing some basketball shorts under his suit lmao. Dude is probably ready to ball at any moment Btw, are people going back to work in the office these days in Toronto? I'm personally WFH still since my company can get everything done remotely but I heard other people are only back maybe a couple days a week but not full time. I could've swore I saw you post somewhere that you're in school. Did you get a job downtown? If so, congrats man.
  10. Pretty crazy how 55 FU/cm2 is all you need for the appearance of density. I'm pretty jealous of your result man, it looks amazing. I'm pretty nervous for my own transplant since I'm booked for May with Dr. De Freitas. How did you get over the jitters?
  11. Well it doesn't have FDA approval but it's approved in some countries for hair loss so it's not a complete unknown. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a significant number of dut users. I honestly feel safer taking topical dut not because I'm prone to nocebo effects but because I like to take every precaution possible. I'm very even keeled and don't get depressed or suicidal at stuff like this. I just don't like to take unnecessary risks and don't want to mess with my hormones as much as I can help it
  12. Sadly my question wasn't asked. The topical dutasteride sounds extremely exciting though so I'm probably gonna sign up for that when the time comes.
  13. Let me know when he does a buy one get one deal
  14. I think the 15th-20th. I don't remember the specific date off hand. I'm kinda considering postponing it a bit since I considering doing topical dut for a bit
  15. It's pretty common for techs to do the implanting and the doctor to do the incisions. I think I've read people say that it's the vast majority of doctors who do it like that
  16. Can't you still wear a hood or some sort of loose fitting cap prior to 10 days? I figure the downtime would be like 3-5 days after which I could probably explore a bit and try out some local restaurants and do other activities that aren't particular risky. I'll probably stay a week minimum afterward. I prefer to keep my days after the transplant just so I have more time to recover but with my situation (indefinite WFH, 30 vacation days, never taken a sick day in my life), I could probably just stay there until they have to deport me. Man, planning an international trip is tough with how many options there are...
  17. I'd be in Valencia which is where Dr. De Freitas is located. I'm gonna get my receded temples filled in and maybe have my hairline lowered like half a centimeter though not sure if I'll have to compromise on that second part. I was thinking of getting a hotel for like 3 weeks or a month but hotel rooms are like 100 a night which is fine but definitely adds up when you're there for a month. Do you know where I could get a cheap room for like 30-70? I was maybe thinking of bringing someone with me just cause Valencia is supposed to be really nice in May and maybe with that third week of vacation, I can do stuff now that the grafts are anchored Yeah I read that CoL in Spain is super cheap... like a few hundred euros for a place and I work a job where I can work remotely 100% of the time... I'm really starting to think I should move to Spain instead of paying out the wazoo here in Toronto.
  18. I've got a date booked for mid-May 2022 and I've been pondering exactly how long I should stay. I was thinking I would stay at least a couple of weeks if not three weeks just so I can go in for cleaning and in case there are complications from the transplant. I figured if I do three weeks, I might be able to spend a bit more time in Spain and do some touristy stuff. The concern though is that if I'm staying in a hotel for a 3 weeks or a month that it starts getting quite expensive
  19. I might've asked this to Dr. Wong I don't remember. But with H&W, I've noticed that they seem to be fairly confident in their ability to predict future loss and are comfortable extracting more grafts in one sitting in order to dense pack a result. For people in their early 30's, can H&W reasonably predict what the final pattern and future loss will be? What kind of accuracy would a prediction be at that age? What would be the average case scenario for someone who's say... NW2 or NW2.5 at age 30? Also, not sure if this will be part of Dr. Hasson's announcement so just asking in case it isn't, but will it be readily available to get access to topical dut? Both for Canadians and I guess the rest of the world (if that helps other people). What has been their experience with topical dut and it going systemic?
  20. This is all hypothetical as my beard is pretty shit tier and all my hair recession is at the hairline but I'd probably prefer body hair when appropriate given infinite financial resources just because I'd rather maximize density in the donor and don't really care all that much for having a beard. Even if body hair isn't great, I'd prefer to retain as much native density as possible. But that's just me and I also don't have infinite financial resources.
