  1. I think it's important to distinguish between what each doctor is trying to accomplish. Maybe Konior is only going the area near the hairline/midscalp in which case 2k seems reasonable. And HLC might be saying... Well, we're going to fix your crown and fill in everything in which case 4k might be more reasonable.
  2. Lol. You have to post that somewhere like Reddit. When I first started doing my research, I came across reddit and that was my first step. Over there, you got guys paying 2k, 2.5k for a hair transplant. It's almost mindboggling too how they'll spend more money on a business class ticket to Turkey than they'll actually spend on the transplant itself. I saw one guy over there do that. I'm a big fan of Dr. Rassman over there though since he always tries to steer guys in the right direction so as to not mess up their life. 5k, 8k, 10k... None of it is worth playing Russian roulette with your hair. During your life, 10k is just a drop in the bucket. You'll have spent/wasted 10k on much dumber things and not even remember it. The other month, I spent like 15 bucks on a Nashville hot chicken place in Toronto and gave myself hemorrhoids.
  3. I think the balder you are or the more aggressive your balding will be, the more you should look at a system just cause even if you're one of the legendary NW8s, a system can put more hairs on your head than an otter. Since we're on a hair transplant forum, it's about managing expectations with a hair transplant and a transplant on a NW7 guy might never make him happy with the density and the compromises that need to be made
  4. Idk how Hasson and Wong does it. But you can always communicate with the rep and discuss your concerns
  5. A consultation is just the starting point. You can always discuss with the doctor and see what they think about your situation or ask if you can opt for FUT
  6. Yeah I can kinda see what you mean with De Freitas in some of his results. It doesn't really bother me though because his hairlines still come out spectacular in terms of things like growth rate and density.
  7. Of course. The toppings are the best part of the pizza. If only I could get them in Canada
  8. Usually forehead reductions are done under the assumption that the patient won't bald i.e. not men. I think it would be difficult to say at age 19 but worth a shot for sure lol.
  9. Yeah I definitely feel you. That's why when I've been planning out my transplant, I've been seriously considering staying for a good 2 weeks minimum just in case something goes wrong, I can stay completely local. That and the fact that Spain sounds really nice during the spring. Doesn't really help the hotel room stuff but hey, maybe having access to room service and hotel staff is a benefit Might just go back and visit again after a few months cause why not get a checkup and enjoy a second vacation though not so sure on this yet
  10. Konior's the guy I would go to if money was no object, I was restricted to the US and I liked Chicago pizza. In no particular order of importance. Canada has Hasson and Wong so they're always a great choice. If you're in North America, it's always good to do your due diligence by checking them out. Their reps are professional and the doctors always deliver great results.
  11. Don't even quote them, it just gives them more better SEO. Best to ignore and report
  12. Idk about manual vs motorized but I know a lot of the best doctors in the world use motorized.
  13. What got me was when the wifi went down. What next lol. Someone microwaving a burrito in the kitchen taking down the whole office?
  14. Dr. Hasson definitely has results where he fills in the temples though he seems to do those NW2/NW3 hairlines as well. You definitely can get a straight hairline if you want from him. Yeah, Doctors can be hard to speak with since they're busy with a ton of other stuff but there are some doctors who speak with you in person. Depends on the doctor tbh.
  15. Wait, do doctors count transected grafts as part of the graft count? That's pretty ridiculous if doctors are actually encouraged to transect your grafts for an easier payday. Just transect the grafts and you don't even need to do an incision/implant. Half the work for the same pay Is this a thing across all clinics or just this clinic? What's the industry standard
  16. I think so. They do something for out of town people, just not sure what. They have a link on their website but aren't specific as to what those accommodations are
  17. Nothing wrong with posting your review on forums for sure. But seeing as you're from the German forums, you have to admit your behavior sounds pretty suspicious. You're talking to the clinic in order to collaborate on a review for a board that speaks a language that you don't primarily speak. Imagine if my first post was on the Spanish boards advertising some Turkish doctor. Plus, if the clinic is involved, then there's a good chance they just cherrypicked the good results to post a review. I feel like it's a bit disingenuous
  18. Hasson and Wong would be my pick. Megasessions, FUT, on most people's shortlists of the best doctors in the world, and great prices on FUT. Grafts after 2000 are $3 CAD per graft which is like Turkey prices lol.
  19. I'd love to hear from the Spanish doctors on how they approach things. Would be really cool to break through the aura of mystery surrounding them on English forums. The interview could be in Chinese and I'd probably still listen
  20. Wow. Surprising the H&W moved to implanters Interesting how he mentions looking for signs of a higher norwood. I had to start examining my temple points to make sure they weren't too receded Any chance we could get a Q&A with Dr. De Freitas?
  21. Maybe another question about medication? I know Dr. Wong was highly optimistic about topical dut while Dr. Bisanga said he's more of an oral minoxidil guy. I wonder if Dr. Konior is experimenting with different drugs as well. Another question is how aggressive can you go in patients with limited foreseeable loss. i.e. the doctor looks through a microscope and sees limited miniaturization throughout the scalp. I understand that doctors tend to be a bit conservative so as to not deplete a patients donor supply but what about patients who are lower norwood and don't have a ton of miniaturization throughout the scalp. At what point can more aggressive transplants be attempted? The reason I ask is because I kinda want to get my temple peaks done but I'm unsure if it's a wise idea to spend the grafts there or not
  22. Similar boat as you. 600 grafts is way too little man. I've seen surgeon put closer to 2400 grafts in that area.
