  1. Hey john, you've gotten some answers already so I'll add a few: Included costs - Double Tree was excellent, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. I brought outlet adapters but every outlet had standard North American plugs. - Breakfast is included with each night stay and very good. I ate like a king every morning and tried lots of different foods. It's a full buffet with a wide variety. - Lunch on surgery days is bought by Eugenix (they ask what you want). I asked for a pretty large serving each time and ended up bringing half the food back to the hotel to eat for dinner later. It's cliche, but the butter chicken knocked me on my ass it was so good. - All meds provided by the clinic. Extra costs - I stayed 3 extra nights, leaving on the third night. It was super affordable (I think about $200 CAD) and I had a long flight home, so I wanted the extra time for the grafts to anchor and to relax. I brought video games and books. - On those extra nights for dinner I ordered room service, and it wasn't too bad (about $10-$15). But honestly I ate so much during breakfast and brought fruit up to my room, so was never really short on food. Apparently Zomato is cheaper but I couldn't get it to work. - For my surgery I pad 90% of it in advance with Wise (wire transfer) because I didn't want to pay the credit card charge on the full amount. I paid the remainder by credit card. - In total I brought about $200 CAD in cash and converted it to INR at the airport. I tipped pretty frequently although it's not expected, and still came home with about $60 worth of INR. That's really it for my expenses. I also purchased a slightly roomier aisle seat for the flight home, which was personal preference (although I do recommend if it's a long flight).
  2. 2% Nizoral user here, two HTs under my belt and use it no problems. The one thing I'd say (in addition to the great advice you've already received) is to use it sparingly, both in consistency and the amount itself. I use it once or twice a week at most, alternated with T-Gel, and it does wonders for my dermatitis. After my second HT I did wait about a month before resuming use, instead using Johnson's baby shampoo. I'll admit the baby shampoo is also oddly refreshing and I now sub it in the odd time.
  3. Work looks great, post-op looks great, hairline design looks great. Happy growing
  4. Agreed with prior posters and happy you had a follow-up with Dr. Arika for your concerns. Two months is definitely too early to hyper focus on patchy spots - hell I'm almost at four months and there's still a few minor spots regaining their strength. Give your body the time to heal - the assessment at 6 months, 8 months, a year etc will prove more intriguing.
  5. You started from such a strong place and the work looks to be very dense. I'd be shocked if you don't finish your 12 months with a completely satisfying, incredible looking result.
  6. You've got a seriously fantastic recorded patient case here - lots of detail, especially with the microscope stuff. I'll be honest that's pretty out of my depth and beyond what I would normally monitor in a hair transplant situation. But kudos for it. I'll say this however - your yield was excellent, especially when looking at the pre and post op. With a good haircut and some styling I feel you could actually be 'complete' where you are, in the sense of the general public not noticing anything out of the ordinary. But I'll admit the pull to get another HT to 'finish it off' can be enticing. Depending on your donor, I think it's completely feasible to knock it out in one go - reinforcing the front and sprinkling throughout the mid scalp, with a bit left for the crown. I'll leave that up the excellent clinics you've no doubt consulted with. Regarding SMP, I know very little about it and am not sure I would personally go for it in a situation like yours where you are 80% there. I understand it's worked wonders for others however.
  7. Dang dude, coming right along. Nice to see you with a clean haircut too 💪
  8. Awesome Ian, what a transformation! Wow. May I ask, is there a reason you're making multiple threads? Might be easier to document your journey on one thread from start to finish.
  9. Eugenix had an explosion of growth in the past 2 years. Package #3 was once Package #2, prices were lower overall, etc. A lot of the results you see on this forum were locked in prior to the price increases, which is worth bearing in mind. Even after the increases though, while I don't think they are "super affordable" now, I also don't think they're necessarily way above cost. For example the Exclusive Package still feels like excellent value to me, which I'd be comfortable with having now gone to Eugenix and experiencing some of the Doctors beside Dr. Bansal. Lots of talent in the clinic. My two cents. In the end it comes down to what you're comfortable with and getting a sense of the quality from patient reviews on this forum and others.
  10. Some other good options if you don't have the money for Dr. K (and who would blame you): Demirsoy Eugenix HLC Rahal Nadimi (Dr. K's disciple) Mader And lots more on this forum. Take your time and read as much as you can, there's no rush! Prices vary extensively and like the above poster mentioned, international travel opens up a whole slew of options.
  11. From one Canadian to another congrats and everything looks great! Happy growing.
  12. I just can't with you Zoomster. Flipping back to look at your original pre-op and then seeing how far you've come causes my brain to malfunction. Congratulations.
  13. Jokes! Most of the hairs have shed and I'm essentially back to where I was post first transplant. Last time it took a while for the density to appear, so I'm going to be extra patient and hold my thoughts until at least 6 months have passed. I can see lots of little hair-dots though, which is very exciting
  14. 2 months today. Please find my updated picture below.
  15. Just want to say the hairline looks wonderful and will also age excellently.
  16. Hi Aussie2020, You've been given lots of good advice. I'd like to say one thing though, and that's to take your time during the hairline design. You'll have just flown across the world- you'll be jet lagged, tired, and likely overwhelmed by the intensity of Delhi. Prepare for this by envisioning your expectations now - picture them drawn on your head. Bring some pictures on your phone of your old hairline if you can. It all helps give the Dr the best impression of what you want, and will leave you happier. Have a great time and enjoy the food the butter chicken was amazing.
  17. Hey buddy. 29 year old here. I started aggressively balding at 16, so trust me when I say I understand where you're coming from. The previous poster is right - your best tools right now are finasteride, and then potentially minox and dermarolling (although admittedly I hated topical minox and quit it after a year due to dry skin/general annoyance). As far as side effects go, consider waiting until you're at a more settled period of your life then giving it another go. Try and make it at least 6 months. Remember, if you're getting the 5mg pill like most folks do (because it's cheaper) it's cut into quarters. You could even consider taking it every second day. Bar none, your absolute best tool right now is prevention and to stabilize hair loss. Then later, maybe 25 or older, you can begin to consider a HT. This is absolutely not something to rush into, especially when you haven't stabilized on meds yet. I know it's hard not to get tunnel vision in your 20s, but think about it this way: you want the best head of hair possible in your 30s and 40s too. Having to get HT after HT because you didn't stabilize will not help w that goal, and will be a heavy financial burden. Too much risk. About the ED - consider talking to a couple doctors about your side effects. When I first started fin at 16 I thought I was experiencing side effects, but it turns out I was just getting inside my own head. I've been on it now for over 7 years and have no problems at all- literally none. In some cases my libido has actually gone up from increased confidence by taking care of my hair better. Take your time, don't rush into anything, and read as much as you can on this forum. You've got a ton of hair (most people here would kill for what you currently have) and consider the meds again.
  18. Canadian actually 😅 my journey is in the signature.
  19. First of all, welcome to the forum you'll find the quality of experience and advice here vastly superior to r/tressless. I was a member there for a while before eventually migrating to HairLossTalk, and finally HairRestorationNetwork. You've got a lot of research ahead but the good news is everything looks pretty good- by that I mean you've got a lot of hair left, so if you were to get a transplant it's a high chance of being a one-and-done. Stay on the routine and give it at least a year (if not two) and then take a look at your comparison photos. If it looks like your hair loss has stabilized, then (and only then) would I recommend to start considering a HT. Once you've decided a HT is what you want, make liberal use of the search bar in the top right (I recommend setting to "in content titles only" after searching). Search up doctors from all over- a patient who is willing to travel international has vastly more options and in many cases, can save money and get better quality. Read as many patient journeys as you can, especially of people who have similar hair characteristics to you. That will give you the best (and truest) impression of what any clinic could do for you. I'm 29 as well and just had my second HT. I'm chuffed now, but at the time of my first HT I wasn't that educated and almost became a repair case (I got lucky). Make sure that doesn't happen to you and abuse that search bar as much as you can. To help with your research, here's an initial recommendation of some clinics, roughly priced from low to high. There are many, many more on this forum. Demirsoy Bicer Eugenix HLC Pekiner Mader Rahal Hasson & Wong Konior Hope that helps!
  20. Can't believe I missed this update back in December. Absolutely unreal my guy - you probably don't even check this forum anymore and nor should you. Have an awesome life!
  21. It's anecdotal but I'm a huge fan of Dr. Demirsoy - I almost went with him over Eugenix for my second HT. In the end due to case-specifics I chose Eugenix, but Demirsoy was very high on my list. There's been some fantastic results of his on HRN - @JST07 and @GLHF to name a couple. His single-patient approach coupled with a very reasonable price are why many people like him. Personally I think he undercharges. The thing about subpar results is every clinic has them from time to time. Your best bet is researching patient-journeys on forums like HRN and, if you see enough of them (especially results with similar hair characteristics to yours), base your decision off that.
