  1. Damn this is so similar to my surgery. That looks dense!
  2. Yeah that sample is small but you have to consider how expensive it is to run an actual controlled study. That being said, does it at all justify the price they're offering their product with the amount of data they have, not entirely. However to his credit he does mention that there have already been studies on dut, its absoprtion, side effects and effects on hair etc.. Below is another independent study that measured the effects of some topical dut that they came up with;
  3. Yeah in all honesty I figure the same, but I'm deciding the roll the dice on it for at least 6 months to see how I fair on their formula. What site was it on?
  4. @Melvin- Moderator Were Xyon's studies on their topical formulation ever released?
  5. Hair loss is due to the genetic sensitivity in your Androgen Receptor to androgens. A hair transplant could potentially damage skin if done incorrectly and lead to something like shock-loss, but it cannot alter the hormonal mechanisms at play on a cellular level. If you're stating what is happening with you is not shock loss, which to me it sounds like it is, then you are likely just continuing to experience hair loss. Are you on any medication?
  6. I find that notion silly, if you want to maintain hair whether its on your scalp or in your donor you will need finasteride in the long term, so there is no sense in trying to gauge the small percent increase it may promote in your donor short term. You should have already been on finasteride 1 year before an HT to see how you fair and if you are maintaining a decent amount.
  7. It’s likely that both treatments induced a shed at different times. I would expect the shedding from fin to stop at around the 1 year mark, it did for me anywya
  8. 3 months is still fairly early so some shedding is likely, and you’re likely shedding from elsewhere too, don’t dig too much into what’s going on your scalp now, wait another few months. I stopped topical min after 3 years of use for a few months and didn’t observe much change. I then got on oral min and have been fine on it for a year now, I’d suggest trying that as it’s much easier to adhere to. Derma rolling you can likely start now as you’re at 3 months, but I ended up just waiting it out until about 6-7 months, reason being I just thought my recipient area took enough of a beating and I rather let it recover then receive the small benefit from rollling. Maybe do the rest of the scalp for just now. Lastly, as you are about 3 months out, you can start using some more serious shampoos to control your dandruff, sebum etc, perhaps try selsun
  9. Xyon brother, it’s the one Melvin is referring too as well. They’re a Canadian company from Dr. hasson who is based in Vancouver. Currently they only sell topical dut in Canada and topical fin in Canada + US from my understanding. They’ll likely expand that soon
  10. I only tried it on once just to test it out. I won't begin it until the new year as I'm leaving for vacay this week and don't want to think about applying it. I'll update when I do start
  11. I think you might be missing my point. And saying that you’ve never heard of someone committing suicide due to hair loss it’s just an account of your own anecdotes, that wouldn’t make it true. it’s funny this came up because just ln I had a hard convo with one of my best friends who is a doctor himself. I’m not on here to be a fin shill and say everyone should take it, but your unsubstantiated fear mongering doesn’t help anyone who would receive benefit from it. My buddy was too afraid then to take fin on time, and 10 years later he still faces psychological problems due to his hair loss.
  12. That's like me telling you; you should be more careful posting baseless articles as not starting finasteride and losing hair can bring ppl to the point of suicide. I called the article non-sense, not suicide, that should be fairly self explanatory. If you at least posted something that showed numbers we could have a conversation. But it doesn't state any percentages or give any examples, while we have studies that show the risk of side effects are fairly low, and to the extreme ppl consider suicide even lower. You didn't actually accomplish anything, of course theres a chance that medication could cause ppl to become depressed, some anti-depressant drugs cause ppl further depression in the long run. In the end you say the medication can be dangerous for some, which was my point to begin with.
  13. I’ve been on it for 3 years and it’s kept me out of deep depression. The article is nonesense because it doesn’t provide anything to back it’s claim. Millions of men all over the world are on this medication and some on various other things. you sound like a person who is more interested in argument than conversation.
  14. Non sense, not mentioned is the risk to mental health caused by hair loss.
  15. I don’t wish to vote because I don’t have enough background on it. But did want to say that is a bit crazy that I’ve seen some spectacular results from him over the years, and yet, some of the weirder donor area results I’ve seen have come from him too. it sounds like he’s a good surgeon who needs to tidy up his business, perhaps hire better. In his YouTube video he seems to care for his patients and a lot of them seem satisfied and grateful. Tough one because he’s knocked some hts out of the park, but it appears something isn’t consistent
  16. I just tried the topical Dut for the first time too. The fact that its a cream sort of puts me off a bit as it seems a bit hard to apply to the scalp and not just end up in hair. Did you find it to be the same issue?
  17. Ditto The perceived side effects from fin could be, for some men, on par with the perceived side effects (if not greater) from hair loss. Three years on now after avoiding it for a year prior, I'm satisfied with the trade-off
  18. I paid $15,000 to cover 3cms in my hairline. Your expectation is way off and you are better listening the previous comments.
  19. Saying fin isn't enough but saying you need shampoos and laser hair treatment is hilarious. Fin isn't enough so you should add on something that does nothing! Fin could be enough for some guys and isn't enough for others, you'll have to gauge it for you-self. Fortunately, it looks like we're increasingly getting more options to help us. You have topical fin/dut to add on, dut orally if you need something stronger, minoxidil orally or topically, you will have topical AA's like pyrlutamide & GT and even Ru if you're comfortable taking a chem that isn't approved. Soon there will be other things like HMI, Scube, etc etc. Another very interesting compound that's come to our attention recently is PAI-1, being trialed for AGA starting early next year, would encourage everyone to read this article: https://www.tohoku.ac.jp/en/press/amish_live_longer_and_healthier.html Anyway, start with the basics, fin min nizarol microneedling does well for the majority of guys. Let this be your starter and give it a lot of time to work
  20. Ah I know the night before jitters at the hotel feeling. Great surgeon and hopefully that lets you take your mind off things. Best of luck
