  1. The big thing with sun exposure is to avoid sun burns which can damage skin. You are most likely fine, don't worry too much
  2. Amazing, you should be very happy with this result!
  3. Yeah great density, look how many Multis you got that’s amazing , they were probably able to go with less grafts because of your graft density. I think your coverage goes right up to your native hair which is great and it will all blend in when the hair grows grows and becomes more dense. Keep in mind, the texture of my hair kept improving even past 8 months, it felt like the shaft of the hair continues to get thicker and over time it started to flow the way the rest of my hair does
  4. Had a look, personally I think you're in for a great result. It looks like you are getting good growth and it is still early days. I'll be follwing over the next 4-5 months. Good luck
  5. Hey man, its hard to gauge and I'm sure you've heard everyone will experience different growth rates. In my own experience and what I've gathered from seeing other people's results, the first three months are relatively close to 0 in terms of progress as in this stage you are very much still in the ugly duckling phase and everything has shed. In the 4th month the hair begins to sprout like it has in your case which is a great sign, so maybe you could say it leaps to 40% of the result but all of it is arbitrary in any case. Although its hard, do your best to steer clear of judgement until at least the 8 month mark, which is where I feel I saw the majority of my result, even though the hairs were still thickening and adapting to curvature. I tried to do my best to post monthly updates on my results and you can see the progress here: Hope that helps
  6. If all this happened over a month then I would assume its a fin shed, as you wouldn't just bald that hard over a months time. Could turn out to be a really good sign for you in fact, lets hope!
  7. Sorry didn't get a noti for your comment and saw it earlier. Thank you, yeah I think they did a good job with density
  8. I mean logically, the drugs you're referring to target neurotransmitters in the brain and likely have small or perhaps short term impact on your hormone levels and likely don't have any ability to alter your genes. Though this is interesting: "The results indicate that the hypothalamic and gonadal levels of the HPG axis are significantly altered by MDMA, with GnRH mRNA and serum testosterone levels suppressed in rats administered MDMA compared to saline. Furthermore, our finding that hypothalamic GnRH mRNA levels are suppressed in the context of low testosterone concentrations suggests that the central GnRH neurosecretory system may be a primary target of inhibitory regulation by MDMA usage." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2753463/
  9. I would do it too, theres just no chance it would ever happen here in Canada.
  10. Will you do a scalp biopsy and if so, how would you go about doing that?
  11. Lol the irony.. any docs in here who can help guide him with his illegal substance use?
  12. if it reduced it by even half of that with that much systemic absorption that would be massive imo
  13. Yeah I agree, I would pay this price happily if they had any proof it does what its intended to, but they hardly have anything to prove it so its very much just experimental. The customer service at least has been good with Xyon so far. My current regimen is 1mg fin, 5mg om, 25mg RU, and whatever percent of this xyon topical dut. I say whatever percent because 1 pump is supposed to be 2%, but to use it effectively and spread it throughout my entire scalp, I use at least 3-4 pumps of it and I don't actually know what amount I'm applying. I don't have many sides or at the very least they're tolerable. I don't get brain fog, increased heart rate, or mood fluctuations, or have physical sides.. i train bjj 4-5x a week. In terms of sexual sides, I believe my libido is slightly lower than what I had when I started on fin 3-4 years back, but I hardly ever think about it and when its time to perform everything works. The decision to do start topical dut was simply that I want more localized effect in my scalp, as fin will reduce dht throughout the body but not an equal amount in the scalp which is ultimately where you really want it of course. I don't foresee myself transitioning completely to a topical regimen for a few reasons; they're not nearly as proven to work, they're hard to adhere too and you cannot reasonably cover your entire head including your donor, which of course is also susceptible to loss, and if youhave had a transplant thats important as well. So fin orally takes care of that to some degree and the topical AAs are intended to localize the effect further. I think its good thought that I haven't experienced anything different from adding topical dut but I won't ever really know if its working given the other thigns I'm on, so i'm going to rely on seeing if others using xyon alone get results. For now just trialing to see if it gives me sides, which it looks like it doesnt. I check my hormones yearly and my doc apt is coming soon so ill put it together in my spreadsheet and share it here
  14. I should also mention they had a promo for new customers which is most of us anyway, the first two months are free if you sub for 6 months, so essentially you're paying for 4/6 of their products. I find their product to be far too ridiculously priced and won't likely be something I consider in the future, but was curious to try it with this promo.
  15. Yeah, I'm on week 2. Their lotion is a bit difficult to lather through the entire scalp, and you definitely can't do it in one pump like what the label says. So far I don't feel any systemic difference, so that could be a good sign, time will tell if its effective
  16. I think you need to give the meds more time to see how much of that crown you'll recover, my hunch is that you can recover quite a bit there in the back. I would not consider a ht at this time, I'm not sure you'll get the result you think you will with your current donor capacity. Hair transplants are a rather illogical process where you harvest donor grafts from an area smaller than the area you intend to cover.
  17. No offence, but this is probably one of the least credible studies I've seen. It doesn't explain how any of the observations were found, what time period was used, what were the controls etc etc. I get this might be a summary of something else, but this is completely inconclusive. I've never been big on any sugary drinks and I definitely don't think anyone should be drinking them daily, hair loss or not. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a co-relation between the worsening of someone's health, which sugar can do, and their advancement of genetic baldness.
  18. Personally I believe medication would help your cause more than a hair transplant. Your crown line has fallen deeper towards your donor which may be a concern for the amount of grafts you’ll get, but at the same time, your hair loss isnt that bad, you’re not entirely too far gone. Would be interested as well to hear your age and medical history.
  19. That's great, you've held on really well despite even being off it for a while. You're in for / already have a great result. Do other men around you still care for their hair?
  20. I'm saying its likely he's not maintaining hairs that had already started a miniaturizing process before he started fin. He's only mentioning that his hairline seems to be going while the rest of his hair seems to be maintaining because he doesn't mention any further loss elsewhere
  21. The hairline thing isn't based in anything. It's just likely that for most guys the pattern of loss starts at their hair line and in all likelihood it was the part that first started to miniaturize and long before you noticed, hence making it harder to recover. Follicles have a signalling network by which plenty of anagen hairs are supporting a paracrine signal which is like a communication between nearby cells, this is part of the theory of why we seem to bald in patterns. To the OP, you likely just started fin at a point where the amount of dht being reduced by fin isn't enough to overcome its effects, most guys should not expect regrowth on fin, but rather maintenance. Of course your other options are to throw in minxodil, try duta, or even a topical anti androgen
  22. Yeah I don't see why not, Minoxidil helps move follicles from Telogen to Anagen quicker so you could get a little benefit from doing that. Keep in mind your new grafts don't require it to grow, is there a reason you want to completely drop it ? Min study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2380431/
  23. Damn this is so similar to my surgery. That looks dense!
