  1. No need to go so low imo, you can get a very age suitable hairline with it slightly higher that will look great with density. Even though you probably have a strong donor, its best to keep more grafts for more density down the line, thats my opinion. Curious how long you've been on dutasteride for?
  2. In my opinion, with a good surgeon (which you have chosen) an HT is still worth it because you're essentially buying time and delaying your fall from grace, which I think for a lot of young men could be very important. Overtime our hair will continue to go (at least with current medication available), but as you age it will naturally become far more age appropriate and you will accept some thinner spots. Everyone who commits to one HT should have the understanding that most likely at some point they will need another.
  3. Not many positive anecdotes for efficacy in my experience. Two of my friends were on it for a period of time without side effects however, but it might be too mild of an anti androgen to maintain hair.
  4. Disagree, he gets a lot wrong here. I love Andrew but he doesn’t realize how out of depth he is on this topic and should have likely done a collab with some expert, maybe Raulf Paus. As an example he talks a lot about topical caffeine, topical caffeine will do nothing to maintain hair
  5. Sounds like snake oil , would have heard a lot more about it
  6. Thank you gents for the kind feedback, definitely still satisfied with the work. In all honesty the temples weren't something I though about much at all going into it and I'm not sure why, I never addressed the issue to Dr. Rahal either. I'm turning 31 soon and while I don't think I'm old by any means, I think maybe it passes as slightly age appropriate for me. At the least my hairline is back and the temples are a small point in comparison, but like you mentioned it could be something that I visit in the future if I have to do another procedure down the line, I think however my priority would remain keeping more density throughout the scalp rather than worry about the temple points.
  7. Hey brother, I get the anxiety, but I do honestly think you're dooming a lot more in your head than you need to. Yes there will be a wait till you get it fixed, but you just have to know that in a few years, you'll look back and wonder why you stressed so much over it. I waited about a year to finally get to my ht, and then another 6 months or so to start getting results and then that anxiety began to disappear and I started to wonder why I was so in the dumps in the first place. You do look like you have great facial features, and its important to remember that time will catch up to us all and we will have some fall from grace and thats okay. You're a young man and still have a lot to be ambitious about and look forward to, but your problem is very fixable, trust that it is and that you'll get there.
  8. Yes, had I known earlier about some of the things in the pipeline for hair loss, I would have delayed my transplant and potentially never had one, despite the fact im satisfied with it. It's not going to be realistic for everyone having to wait or run the risk of something not coming out at all, but we do seem to be in an interesting time now with plenty of things to be encouraged about. There are many things I would hold out for such as HMI-115 and TM, but it also seems we are getting various targets as well, degraders, differnet RNAs, stem cell projects, and both HMI and TM have different pathways too, it might be a combination of things that allow us to keep and regrow our hair
  9. @Melvin- Moderator you posted a photo of someone's results on xyon's topical on insta today, is that result somewhere on here?
  10. If you do a transplant now, you will deny yourself any chance of regrowth from an upcoming treatment as transplanting into these areas are likely kill off original follicles. I can't say with any real certainty of course that something will for sure change the game but now more than ever there are a few things to look forward too. HMI-115 - We should be getting results soon, there is also some guy who was sharing updates on reddit from his participation in the phase 1, apparently a photo circulated from his social media and some claim he was able to recover at least a norwood. Again can't confirm this for sure but I think its worth waiting to see. TM5614 - https://www.tohoku.ac.jp/en/press/amish_live_longer_and_healthier.html Scube3 crispr?
  11. Keep going on meds and delay your hair transplant. We may have positive results soon from HMI-115 and it would be worth knowing how effective it was in the first trial, in the meantime you are likely to continue to get some regrowth from dut and om given how its worked so far
  12. Well you're not wrong in what you're saying, but I'm confused about your overall message. Finasteride and the subsequent reduction in DHT is not enough to feminize a man, so whats the worth in bringing up anything about transitioners
  13. It is slightly inaccurate, transitioning is done primarily with estrogen and much strong androgen inhibitors, one being spironolactone (for male to female)
  14. It looks like the bottom of the crown may have thickened up a bit. I'm finally moving from 1x/week application two 2x now
  15. Wow 17 years! How has it treated you all this time? I don't see the point personally in doubling fin since you're on topical dut, how often are you using the topical dut?
  16. Shedding isn't entirely a good marker for hair loss, its natural for us to all go through seasonal sheds and sometimes we pick up on them and are on high alert. I would try going to the topical dut route first to see if you tolerate that on top of your regimen. A topical dut applied say once or twice a week would be a good start.
  17. Im on both atm lol! I'm going to up topical dut from once a week to twice on top of fin, but skip fin the days I apply xyon. But I won't be upping for a little while until I'm sure there are no problems with it. For the time being, one pump per week has no caused any issues.
  18. Its possible I suppose if your Estrogen levels were high to begin with and the small increase that fin gives pushed you enough to gain a little
  19. That's what we're all tryna figure out brother, have a look at this thread here:
