  1. Did you end up seeing Dr Nadimi in person @Squidward or have you made a decision?
  2. Do you have any pictures to share in2deep? I'm also looking at Dr Konior for repair work. Have you spoken with Dr Nadimi who also works with him?
  3. What are the main differences with Dr Konior and Dr Gabel, not regarding waiting time.
  4. Hey mate, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. I thought your hair looked really good before this procedure, but that's just from an outsider looking in. If I were to offer my opinion, I would say that particularly based on this experience I would not include the words 'convenient' or 'least time consuming' when thinking about any repair work. I would be looking at getting the best result possible, no matter how convenient or time consuming, as if it is done right then you won't have to spend all that time every day obsessing about how you are unhappy with the result and all the anxiety that comes with it, just for the sake of a flight and a few days in a hotel. You can get on with your life and never have to think about it again. If looking at graft extraction then go to the best of the best and get it done properly. I have not had any personal experience with Dr Konior but from what I have heard he is an outstanding surgeon and has mastered the art of FUE, so maybe a consult with him to see what is possible would be worth the time. Just my opinion but I wish you the best of luck and I know that if researched properly, you can achieve a good result and can move on with your life. MM
  5. Thanks for the advice @home1212 I think this is the strategy I will end up going with.
  6. Thanks Payam, I never considered this option. I'll shoot him an email now and see what he thinks of this option. Would be much cheaper too I'm assuming.
  7. If I had the choice where money was not an issue then I would definitely go with Dr Konior, but financially that option may not be possible. I'll see what I can do to try and hit this goal. The reason for going with Dr Konior are exactly as you mentioned, I do not have much donor left so it is imperative that i go with a top notch surgeon so I can maximise what I have. Is it standard practice to do FUT when one has had a previous FUT procedure? Are there any factors you know of which would prevent one from having a second FUT procedure? Also, how would you compare Dr Gabel with Dr Konior in your opinion?
  8. Pre ope pics would be helpful. This result looks outstanding. CONGRATS!
  9. I've done more research and have finished consulting with Dr Konior and Dr Bhatti. I still have consults coming up with a rep from Shapiro & Dr Basinga In a perfect world, I would like to do the following: 1. Get on 0.33 proscar every 3 days to maintain/regrow hair in the crown area 2. FUE or FUT with Dr Konior to add between 1750-2000 grafts to the front-mid scalp 3. 12 months later look at an FUE with Dr Bhatti to add beard grafts to scar 4. If required down the track, a further FUE with Dr Konior or if hair donor is not available, FUE with body grafts with Dr Bhatti or Dr Umar Dr Konior is extremely expensive though so I am not sure what to do. Perhaps look at Dr Nadimi? Any advice would be appreciated, especially from experienced contributors like @spex and @Spanker
  10. Thanks for the update @HairsHoping Looking really good at only 5.5 months.
  11. Any further updates @Teemo? Are you on any fin? Cheers
  12. Any updates @HairsHoping ? Should be almost 6 months, is that right? I have not seen many results by Dr Nadimi and being in a similar post op position as you hair wise any updates would be really helpful. Thanks!
  13. Hi Harry, I'm strongly considering getting work done with Dr Konior but due to pricing may have to consider another dr. If you feel comfortable in sharing, what was the price difference between Dr K & Dr Nadimi? Could you also send me some pictures? Appreciated! MM
  14. Agree 100% with all the above. I would reach out to a few other world class surgeons like Konior/Bisanga/Shapiro to see what they think of your situation. They may offer you a similar perspective to the above members which will keep you from rushing into anything. They can also help you to establish a plan for the future which will put your mind at ease as you will have some goals in mind. I rushed into mine at 25 and now am playing catch up and genuinely regret not waiting longer and getting further input from world class docs. I think you will find that the most regret people have is from rushing into a ht too soon or being too aggressive early on rather than the regret from waiting an extra year or two and being methodical in their approach. Best of luck.
  15. Any updates TimeForAction? Would be great to see how things are looking now.
  16. Looks like a great result so far Matt. I'm also thinking of getting a procedure done with Dr Konior. You mentioned you take 1/4 proscar twice a week. Is this 1mg cut into 4 or 5mg cut into 4? How long have you been taking this for? Thanks MM
  17. Thanks for the advice BeHappy. This is not something I had considered so I will definitely do more research and look into into this option. Would you look at someone like Dr Konior for this kind of option?
  18. Looks really good so far Nick. Such clean work on both the scalp and donor site. Looks like it is going to be a really good result too if this is the growth already at month 3. I was thinking of Dr Umar or Dr Bhatti but have heard so many good things about Dr Konior, I may have to reconsider. Best of luck mate MM
  19. What do you guys think of this result? I would be pretty content with this, especially as only 1600 grafts were used. Pre-op the guy looked to be in a similar situation to me. Dr Umar is a lot more expensive than Dr Bhatti though.
  20. Just had a Skype consult with Dr Bhatti. He suggested SMP into scar and then 2000-2200 from scalp and 500 from beard to fill in front + mid scalp followed by another procedure in 6+ months where he would look to extract a further 1500 scalp + 500 beard for further density into front/mid/crown
  21. SBSinNYC, pics taken last week. Thicker looking top is #3 guard, thinner is #2 guard. Only other differences are lighting.
