Please post photos everytime you are updating us about the progress or lack of. It is a pointless debate if we can't see the latest photos.

I have surgery with asmed in October. I have been in contact with them for the past 12 months and I can assure you that he does the insisions. The contract they sent me clearly states Dr erdogan does the insisions ... 100% all of them and I always challenge them and ask questions all the time so don't listen to what you hear on the forums. If you have that much doubt ask them yourself !

It's also important to know that Dr erdogan has a hands off approach. He only does insisions and his consults tend to last 10 mins on average and many people have reported it being rushed. That said his results are good but when you consider the clinic itself posts 1 result a month on the forums and he has 4 patients a day, you can't help think why asmed themselves post very little work. Yes you get patient reviews but if you dig deep enough you will see some questionable hairlines. He is moving to a new larger facility this year which means more operating rooms more new techs and him being even more hands off than he already is. I dont have a problem with the clinic I'm just stating some facts and I advise demanding before hand the very experienced techs in particular Dilek who is the lead tech.

Well it's really a case of just asking them. Sometimes they will say all our techs have great experience and skills but asking them a couple months out is hard to get an answer because usually at consultation the Dr koray and Dilek (lead tech) will discuss which team of techs will suit certain more complicated cases etc.. they do up to 4 patients a day so that's a lot of techs. There's no harm in demanding that you have the most experienced techs working on you. You're paying alot of money you should have some say. Really educate your self before you go and ask them all sorts of technical questions and trust me they will think 'ok he knows his shit, we need to bring our A game' . People live it when patients stay quite and just let them do the job it's human nature but don't let them slack even slightly. It doesn't matter how good some clinics are they all have mess ups as well and if you really look properly you will find them so don't just look at the good stuff clinics post.

Yes I agree you can't argue with the great results he has. It's just important to know who exactly is going to be touching your head and the level of experience they have. You've already been messed up once challenge them ask questions this is your head.

I'm also going to Erdogan in the same month. I think it's important to point out that when people above have talked about nothing is better than a trained surgeons eye and skill, that you realise that erdogan does zero extraction and just the insisions. Some people say insisions are most important well they're not. Both extractions and insisions are equally as important. If the grafts are damaged and or not separated into single hair grafts and stored correctly, you can have the best insisions but that won't count for anything if the wrong type of grafts are put in the hairline. There's nothing wrong with techs doing extractions but it is important that you and other potential patients are aware and are happy with that fact. He's had some new techs join him this month so certainly I know there will be people who would not let inexperienced techs work on them. You should confirm before hand what the experience of the techs working on your head will be I know I certainly will.

I'm also going in October to asmed. I fly out on 1st October from London and surgery day is 3rd and 4th and return on 5th. What are your dates?

If you look at the lighting in these photos the shade and quality of light and angles make it look like it's not patchy at all and Dr koray must have thought at the time you are a candidate. He should have really told you to take better photos in terms of lighting just like you did when you sent it recently because the day light through your window and indoor lights really show the full extent of your situation. If he does not feel he can get you where you want to be than it's better to not have him as an option and it's good and ethical of him to say no. Send your recent photos to various other top surgeons just to get an opinion and explain to them that you have been declined else where and what is their assessment of it. Good luck

Right so it's definitely nothing to do with transplanting into the balding area itself. I also do like a skin fade hair cut and after a few weeks that lower area does look a bit patchy but that's just normal unless he is referring to the area just above it which isn't bad anyway. Send them a reply saying that you get a zero at the back and sides and that's why it maybe looks like it's thin. They'll also still have your old pics so ask them to send it back so you and we on the forum can really see if there has been obvious depletion.

What was his full reason for denying you this year? Was it just the donar area problem or more? Maybe copy paste the response here if you can? Would be good if you can show the same pics you sent him last year on here please? Another thing it looks like in donar area you have a more faded shave and I have known people to send him these pics and be denied and then sent another pic a month later and letting that area completely grow and was told he was a candidate.

Exceptional result. Very high up on the donar area but can't complain about the end result. See you in October !

Im booked in October so they have already arranged to give me that extra night. Yes ive heard good things about the hotel and how near it is but i just rather be at the clinic. I guess ill just order food and stock up on sandwiches will keep my extra spending to a minimum.

Great start to the write up. So you gave them the cash in pounds i take it? And was the conversian rate they said what you were expecting ? You had 5019 grafts, did they charge you for the extra 19? Sema is also my co ordinater shes great. I also arrive there too late to have a consultation so they will give me that extra night free aswell! Ill be staying at the clinic.

Id also be interested in the role of Dr Erdogan during surgery. I know he does the insisions and his techs do extraction and implant. Did he do any extractions at all?

Great stuff... im booked with dr ergogan in october . Could have done it much eariler but ive only been on propecia a few months so i want to be on it a good 10 months and then i would have had good period of time on the drug before surgery.. sent my deposit.... he has started using microscopes too for single hair disection, he will unveil his new technology of calcalcation and size of grafts so this is all great timing for me .. will be off work for 3 months as well !

Dr Erdogan ,i want to say that it is very good news to see you using microscopes for single hair disection. I was actually surprised you were not using it as i thought this would be standard practice. I agree with your opnion that it may not always be 100 % however, as with any type of HT there is no guarantee what will happan. Having said that i would say it is important that all cases are given the best possible chances to be successful even if it may only improve final results by 5 % that can still make a huge difference to the end result. The hairline is pivitol to the natural result we all dream of so i am happy you have taken this step and continue using it. I guess also it will take time for your staff to get used to using it.
