  1. Good documentation pics are always appreciated from hair restoration patients.
  2. Dr. Umar has very little profile - boutique/niche surgeon. Seems more plastic surgeon/repair/specialized. I'd go w/surgeons that do regular hair transplants every day like clockwork.
  3. Density is okay - his 1st 'passes' are good. As far as dense packing a frontal hairline, I don't think he specializes in that. I know his slits are not lateral but saggital. Overall though he gets good coverage and nearly 100% survival. That's why I did 5K grafts with him for overall good coverage from front to crown.
  4. I enjoyed strolling 'round Jaipur outside his clinic back in '17 - lots of friendly people. Clinic is solid. Dr. Soni works fast & is detail oriented. Good hard-working well run staff as well. It's a bit less private around the operating/graft rooms but that is the Asian/Indian way of life. Enjoyed the room they put me up in for a few days at the clinic as well. Overall, my trip to India was very pleasant. Good luck!
  5. Finasteride (Propecia 5mg split into 1/4ths) from I think '98 to about '02-'03. Then switched to Dutasteride (Avodart) since '03 - been consistent with the NAME-BRAND Avodart since about '18. For a few years since '03 (I think '08 on & off thru '18) I was on/off generic & name-brand Avodart.
  6. I get the 10mg Loniten - I originally started taking 5mg 2X's a day 3 years ago but now I just take 2.5mg's per day. I'm 55 and have had multiple procedures & have been on dutasteride (Avodart) for 20+ years and some form of minox for 25+ years, so I just continue to use meds at this point to keep my donor healthy and robust. That written - the meds did delay accelerated hairloss until about 43 years old or so and then I lost more in my mid-vertex and crown. You can never outrun genetics.
  7. You are bald in the crown now - 30 years old - not a kid. I wouldn't rush the 1-2 month timeline as an absolute 'must.' You have a virgin scalp, continue to take your time. If you do this correctly you'll thank yourself for many years. The 2.5 Euros per graft is very limiting - get another job or work overtime to broaden your list of available doctors in Western Europe. Good luck on your journey.
  8. I use medicalwellnesscenter.com for my brand-name Avodart (Dutasteride). I asked them for a prescription for Oral Minoxidil three years ago. They said nope. I buy my oral minox (Loniten) from alldaychemist.com That was my work around.
  9. Poster's original hair is in the top 1% of possible donor-hair quality. Keep this in mind. Regardless, well done thus far.
  10. I wrote a long response - bottom line - contact your EU surgeon/rep beforehand and ask them.
  11. Went to a consult on August 27th in Maryland. I've had many strips & a small fue {8,500 grafts thus far}. My surgery with him would be FUE. I asked about surgery in the U.S. in 2023 - he didn't think it was going to happen. ----------------------------------------- "Dr. Bisanga would be able to offer this procedure at a price of €7.00 per graft. Dr. Bisanga would lead your surgery, consult and plan your approach. Dr. Bisanga would make your recipient sites. Punching of your extraction sites would be made by Dr. Bisanga. Technicians would then extract the pre punched grafts and place the grafts into the pre made recipient sites as with all BHR surgery. Considering your total approximate graft recommendation, we can calculate an approximate surgery cost. 1500 grafts x €6.50 per graft = €10,500 TAX is additional for elective surgery in Brussels, however with a supporting/referral letter from your doctor explaining the negative effect hair loss is having on you, this can be avoided. I can provide an example of such a letter should you decide to proceed with surgery."
  12. Go for a consult w/Gabel. He's bald so I'm sure he would give you good advice.
  13. Medispa has a good explanation. https://www.medispaindia.in/microscopic-dissection/
  14. You've given alot to the community as a member here. I say keep going w/another surgery when it is time! Cheers.
  15. Been using medicalwellnesscenter for many years for my brand-name Avodart (generic is dutasteride). Good service.
  16. Dermatch or another 'matte'-based colorant 1st - (then if you want paste/thickener/mousse) - then fibers - then spray.
  17. A few things. I have had 8.5K {8K FUT & 500 FUE} grafts & I have a badly stretched FUT scar (4.5K grafts from Dr. Soni 2016). Another 2.25K FUT scar (good scar from Dr. Feller 2004) & 2 more FUT scars (400 & 700 grafts in '93 & '95) & finally 100 & 120 FUT graft scars in '91. My hair is fine & my donor area is riddled w/those imperfections. However, with the proper hair length (not too short & not too long in the back) it is not noticeable and w/a little hair spray in back I don't concern myself with it. If this really bothers you then I suggest one or all of the following. Possible FUT revision/500 or more beard hair grafts into the scar area/SMP and/or using some dermatch in the back. I also have the same concerns when wearing a ballcap that it pushes my hair around in back exposing any of my 4 major FUT scars - but really no one is obessing about it more than me for sure. I've also considered FUT revision - but I would like to lose a significant amount of weight in order to increase my scalp laxity if I decide to do so. Considered H&W or Dr. Soni to do the revision - but am reluctant 'cause there is no guarantee that it will be improved. All of my beard is white so also reluctant to put a bunch of beard hairs in there. I could do FIT farming into the scar as well. Just know 95% of the time no one is as concerned as you are about this. Your results are very good & I would be happy. Perhaps look for the absolute best SMP provider for your specific issue - a few are way better than others.
  18. Thickest hair in the world (demographically speaking) patient. This is a 1 in a 1000 type result. Not representative of a typical client. His temporal point hair restoration is not good either - you can clearly see the doubles and it is too thick compared to his natural hair below. If his hair wasn't nearly as thick as horsehair (diameter) - his frontal hairline restoration wouldn't look nearly as natural either.
