  1. Awesome result with a efficient use of grafts. Looks like a completely different man. FUT still king. Think this guy worries about that linear scar?!
  2. Why are you still using multi-follicular unit grafts? Isn’t that obsolete?
  3. Substandard results at 6 months followed by satisfactory results at 12 months are a rarity. Go back and look at examples of great results people ultimately ended up with. The vast majority will have the “wow factor” early on. Compare comments like “looks great for 6 months!” vs. “don’t worry, it’s only 6 months in, you should expect more growth!”
  4. Sure, there will be more growth but most of us have seen enough timelines that you can project out how things will pan out as early as 5 or 6 months.
  5. Man, I’m sorry but I feel Melvin can be a little too optimistic at times, to a fault. Yes, we need to be encouraging to other members but when we start giving others false hope when something objectively went wrong, it can really mess with one’s physche. We’re all adults here. Let’s try and be a little more realistic with each other so the correct next steps can be made.
  6. Look around. There’s plenty of honest pictures with much better results. The fact that he needed 3 sessions to reach that number is cause for concern.
  7. It was not my intention to be insulting. However, if this forum is made for patients, by patients then we have a duty to educate others on the many pitfalls associated sign hair transplantation, one of which is pointing out the obvious short comings associated with the ARTAS. The ARTAS is objectively inferior to manual transplantation, I think everyone can agree on that. So the question is why do some doctors still promote it? My guess is two fold: 1.) It is less laborious than manual transplantation allowing resulting in more dollars per hours exerted by the surgeon. 2.) Surgeons attempting to recuperate the enormous costs of these machines by continuing to promote them. I am not insulting, I am keeping people honest.
  8. Unbelievable result. Completely natural and undetectable even at only 9 months and to the trained eye. Congratulations. You must be estatic.
  9. I am far from an expert but I’ve been around long enough to know the ARTAS is an inferior product producing inferior results and has no place alongside today’s technology. The fact that you endorse such mediocrity is an enormous red flag. I would advise the rest of the forum to keep their scalps far away from you.
  10. Pretty shocked to hear about the bad multiple results from Wong. I can definitely understand your frustration about just wanting to fix this horrible condition and enjoying your life. Good luck to you.
  11. What is the reason for taking pictures in different rooms? To create more confusion? Sounds suspect.
  12. Agreed. It's an insult that surgeons still pedal this and patients elect for it.
  13. Clearly, you're missing the point. Same day photos with different hair color and different backgrounds wouldn't make much sense, would it?
  14. Can’t be a top doc. 12 day post-op leaves a lot to be desired.
  15. I don’t understand why we have to pretend there’s hope for this poor guy following 7 months. Yes, there may be additional growth and thickening. Will it be satisfactory? Absolutely not. Let’s please stop with the sunshine pumping and be real with people so they can address the issue sooner than later.
