Results are really good. If the over-harvested areas bother you too much why not have some body hair grafted to the thin areas? Looks like you have an ample beard or even using body hair have been successful in scar areas but make sure you know a Dr that specializes in body to scalp hair transplants. Just a thought.

I just purchased this dermastamp and I find this much better than the roller type. The roller type tends to snag on the hairs and can be a bit uncomfortable. I haven't used my derma roller very much for this reason. The stamp is much easier to use and no snag noted. The electrical derma stamp might be a something I might consider but for now this seems to do the trick. How often do you microneedle? Seems like you have been getting some growth in the crown. If it gets better no need for another HT right? Have you ever tried topical finasteride? I'm considering it but not sure if it will become more systemic if I use it along with microneedling.

The gift that keeps on giving! Are you planning to get a touch up for the crown? I hear guys saying fin will do well in this area but the thought of side effects scares me a bit. Just when you thought the growing was over and then new growth keeps popping out. Amazing results even if the crown isn't quite perfect. I haven't had a hair transplant yet but I was going to have my crown filled in a couple years back but cancelled the appointment a month out. I have a good head of hair, just a thin crown that concealer takes care of for the time being. My crown isn't progressing but isn't gaining any ground either so I might have to get it done in the future. Minoxidil w/carrier lotion, microneedling and Nizoral has kept hair loss at bay but no new growth.

Dr. Erdogan @ ASMED should use your before/after pics to post on his website to show off his work, unless he already has? I wish all transplant procedures could have your outcome but sometimes overharvesting, scarring or slow or minimal growth happens to people and their results are dissapointing. Going to Turkey might be the only turn-off if I ever decided to go and have it done. Was it cost or Dr. reputation or both that helped you to decide on this particular clinic? Interesting that you went with the fade on the sides and back. Are the donor area scars noticeable? I was told that even though an FUE claim is "less scarring" do you find this to be true in your opinion? Are you plannng to address the mid scalp and crown or are you satisfied? If you plan on doing it, did the Dr say how many grafts it would take? Sorry for all the questions, sometimes I spot people that have FUE and FUT scars because they choose to cut very low in the donor area. I'm wondering how low can you go without anyone noticing?

Looks really good, how does friends and loved ones react to your before and after results? Have you influenced anyone that knows you to also have this procedure done? Do you wish you would have done this sooner?

Going gray is better than hair going away, wouldn't you say? I wouldn't worry about going gray, its hair!!! is your hair hard to style without the hairdryer? If it is, I think a cool setting would be ideal but air drying isn't an option?

I have seen a donor area severely depleted and thinned out by an FUE procedure and the dot scars are noticable when hair is cut short. I have also seen a good FUT with a faint scar that was repaired and filled in with FUE of body hair and scalp hair. Even though FUT is an antiquated procedure, I think it can be repaired with better success if needed than a botched FUE dot scars. I think with an FUT you get a better yield as oppossed to FUE correct? A good trycophytic closure seems to help with the scar to be less noticable.

5000 grafts and it didn't look like it depleted your donor area. Must be nice when you get a haircut and say"a little off the top please". Very good result. I'm happy for you!

If you have good density and if the doctor harvests in a pattern that doesn't severely thin the donor area than FUE is the way to go. If you do go the FUT route just go to a doctor that does a trycophytic closure as this lessens the look of the linear scar. Even if you do have a scar, it can be filled later with FUE, SMP or use facial or body hair to make it less noticable. So many options.

Question about the pimples forming as a result of the new hairs pushing through the skin. Would it be okay to use something like retin-A to not only treat the pimple like lesions but to thin the skin in the recpient area so the hairs can "push" through easier? Just a thought.

How low of a hairline were you thinking of? Widows peak maybe? I'm sorry but you look good to me, what kind of hairloss have you been experiencing? Thinning, recession of your hairline?

I wouldn't lower your hairline but only soften it slightly to fill in the gaps. Your hairline looks age appropriate, lowering it would look strange as you get older. You look fine to me, but to take care of the slight imperfection, a few hairs along the hairline will give a more natural look.

I plan on having an FUT/FUS HT in a few months and my question is this. If you are estimated about 2400 grafts, does the Dr. count the hairs in the donor area and then cut the strip, or is he more or less guesstimating that the strip he cuts will be enough? Or does he remove more than estimated to account for transected follicles? Doctors, feel free to chime in as I would like an expert opinion.

Hair experts, is there an age in a mans life when the body reduces the production of DHT? My rational is if you use drugs to prevent hair loss such as Fin and Minoxidil to prevent hair loss until a certain age, then your hair will less likely fall out later in life? I was told that if you aren't bald by late forties you might be safe. Comments?

I wish my hair looked this good. You'r hair looks good...actually really good. You don't want to be too perfect as it will look like a Ken doll hairline...unless this is the look you are going for? If you do this, when does the satisfaction end? Just something to ponder.

zig zag definitely looks more natural. A hairline is not a line at all but slightly irregular hair growing from the front hairline. If it looks too straight, it will be a telltale sign something has been done!

I noticed a year ago but he has never explained in a serious way why he has become bald. He said in twitter in a joking way he did the "lice" challenge and had to shave his head....ha ha but in all seriousness, I hope he didn't become bald because of illness or the use of chemo etc. Maybe he was bald the whole time just wore a wig? Possible?

Ernie, You look like you are healing fine. I hope I heal this well in the future when I get my FUT transplant. My only issue is that I have a tight scalp and I am worried that I may be prone to keloid scarring. Did you have a fairly loose scalp when you started? When I compared your original post op to your present pictures, wow, big difference. If you would have told me your post pics would eventually turn out this good I would have been a little wary. I only wish anyone who gets an FUT vs FUE will heal this well. I feel bad for those who have widened scars. How many grafts? Just curious.

Very strange looking scar along the hairline. Is it possible he had a flap surgery restoration in the past? If so, his surgeon could soften that hairline with single grafts to make it look more natural and to hide the scar IMO. The hairs look like they are growing from his scalp, it's just a little too harsh and not very well blended. Anyway, I hope I look that good at 60+!

When you say style, what did you have in mind? Your hair isn't trained yet because it hasn't fully grown out to it's potential. Were you planning to grow it out a bit like Bradley Cooper or Charlie Sheen? Versatility in hairstyles require a little bit of hair length to play with so maybe grow it out and get small trims to keep it neat and see in a few months. I don't think you have had any bad replies in this forum so take this into consideration that your hair looks fine. What do friends and family think?

I think when body hair is transplanted to the head, it only looks good when it is clipped short all over when completed. Body hair is different and will not grow to the length as normal scalp hair. If you don't mind the buzz cut look...this might work, just inquire with a specialist that does body to scalp transplants.
