  1. Btw I am getting my top up for mid section with dr bhatti for almost 2000 grafts .
  2. Can someone point why Dr B is not recommended on this forum anymore ? I have done my procedure from him and he is quite skilled and I got good results
  3. Hey yeah most probably with Dr B again. I haven't considered anything else as my first HT with dr B went well.
  4. Hey folks , Hope you all are doing fine, I have been a lurker on this forum for few years now after my first hair transplant in 2016. You guys have nothing but helpful in terms of helping me understand all the procedures. I am pretty much satisfied with my first procedure for frontal section, but as sad is alopecia , I now need work on my mid section due to it thinning . For curious people this was my first procedure with dr Bhatti . I am opting for the same now and I am attaching pics for you to see my current condition, its not very apparent from the front but sooner or later I need to do it. From the looks f it my donor section looks pretty healthy , and dr suggested to do around 2000 grafts there. (I need to be conservative in terms of the grafts as I am sure I will need them further down the line) Is there anything that I should keep in mind about since I have not been following this forum for quite a bit ? How many grafts do you think are needed ? I felt that the front line is a lil bit low , otherwise looks ok , would pulling it up feasible ? (dr advised me not to specifically and I agree with him , just want to know what you guys think) I still am smoking and drinking , should I stop that ? My procedure is in 12 days . Thank you for reading
  5. I feel for you dredd77. And I agree that the dr should have told you prior that you have dupa. Can the rep provide any proof that the doctor informed the patient with dupa and explained all the risks involved with it?
  6. Looks really good. The real magic starts at the 3 months mark. All the best
  7. I just shared my pics after 3 years. I am satisfied with it , but now my mid section is thinning, so probably would have to go for it for the second HT. I think I would need multiple HT's down the line https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/55653-thinking-of-taking-the-second-plunge-for-my-mid-scalp-kindly-suggest/?tab=comments#comment-526195
  8. Alright so here I go. I am 28 now and had my first HT 3 years back to refine my hairline for about 2135 grafts. As MPB is a b*&*&*, it is hitting my mid sections now where I am thinning. I stopped finasteride since I was not too fond of the sides. The current condition is not super super bad considering I can hide it with my back hair as well as the new ones in the front . But it is going to be bad, where I will have a weird bald patch in between. I want to get things done before I hit that desperation phase. I am sharing my pictures prior to my 1st HT and my current condition. I spoke to my surgeon, and he has left it on me to decide whether to take the second plunge or leave it for another two years. Also as I am more conservative on the grafts as I will need them in the future as well, so the doctor suggested 800 grafts from the beard. I normally don't get to travel that much, hence I was thinking of getting it done this Jan when I travel. What do you guys think should I go ahead or wait? How many grafts are needed at least as I need to account for future receding further back too. The doctor suggested 1800 Should I start finasteride ? My first choice is dr Bhatti as I had my first procedure with him. Feel free to give suggestions who you think would also be good in the mid-section . Here is my first procedure. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/47566-2135-frontal-grafts-by-drbhatti-on-24-th-dec-2016/

  10. Hi Thappa, Short answer : The way you started , your hair looks nicer comparatively. Long answer : The grafts could have been used more efficiently . Because I can see that all did not grew given the amounts of hair you got transplanted. I haven't gotten FUT because of the fear of the scar, but it looks like if you grow your hair bigger at the back it can be avoided. The deed is done , so no point worrying about it . If you will click pictures in the harsh light, there is going to be some disappointment always. Good thing is that you have body hair with you that can save you. Are you in states ? I also got my HT from India, but had satisfying results. It would be prudent to brainstorm this with the doctor as to what went wrong . If the doctor is ready to stand by you , it's a good thing, but I would think really hard before getting anything done at the same place. Also guys, please don't make discouraging comments. Going under the knife takes a lot of the toll on the body, the least we can do is motivate and help each other.
  11. Some more pictures . Front and donor area. Thinking of going for a second procedure for the mid section now.
  12. thanks Shera, thinking of getting my second round done for mid section now.
  13. Hey @itxrd , thank you for the motivating comments. Yes I think I will get another HT, but not for the density, instead to fill my further receding native areas .
  14. Guys thank you for the opinions. With all due respect, you need to also acknowledge the fact that those grafts are planted on a completely bald area and all the grafts planted grew in my opinion. And I don’t think the density is too less, I agree that it’s not a full packed transplant, but I also have to consider the future HT’s I have to get due to AGA. I am also losing my native hair, so down the line I have to get more HT’s to get my mid section full. The grafts would definitely come handy then.
  15. Hey folks, I am sorry for posting after years lol. Almost 3 years have passed since my first HT and I wanted to share some pictures with you. I am happy with the result. It's just the fact that I may need to get another HT's down the line due to my native hair receding more. I have stopped taking finasteride altogether as I was worried about the mental sides it has. For now, have a look at these pictures and tell me what you think.
  16. Things are looking good mate. I remember when I had my procedure with Dr.Bhatti, I was under the same boat. You seem to be heading towards the right path. The grafts are sprouting , and the next two months will be magical. Be patient. Also are you continuing on finasteride ?
  17. I don't think so there is any bias towards Dr.Bhatti here. I had a HT with him and got a good result. I think he is a really skilled surgeon, performing 80 % of the task himself. At my post as well, I found people criticizing his work , so I don't think so there is any favoritism here. In the end I got a good result. It's all about what is your expectation are from the procedure.
  18. There was a time in my 4 months post-op even when I hit my head really hard on the car where the grafts were planted. Everything grew fantastic still. So I don't think so this is going to affect you buddy @baldlivesmatter . I think you are having great results and travelled a long path , keep up the strong results. Cheers.
  19. Doctor said around 500. Right now I am ok, I may get another procedure down the line when it starts to get more evident . I don't know about shaving the head yet.
  20. I agree with your point. Hence I am happy that did not consume a lot of grafts. I think I still have a decent amount of grafts remaining and that will be helpful in future procedures.
  21. Hey buddy, I saw your results and commented on that. Its so good to see you here again.
  22. Heyyyy @baldlivesmatter , soooo good to see you man. Sorry I was not that active on this forum recently . Thanks for the mention in the original post. We sure have been through a roller coaster ride, but well hey what good is life without a thrill man ? I applaud your courage to stick through. Going to Dr Diep was a wise option. And looks like you have got a home run this time mate. The results look stellar for five months and I am sure there is much more to come in the following months. Hang tight and enjoy this ride. After 7 months you are going to stand in front of the mirror and feel like you never lost your hair. I bet even no one can look at you and say "this dude has a hair transplant" .
