  1. Cheers mate Good luck mate. Were you with Dr Erdogan as well?
  2. 12 Weeks Post Op Lots of new hairs popping through but not thick / long enough to make a cosmetic difference. It is a slow process when you are checking every day. My head is still super itchy and I have lots of spots coming and going so I'm certain things are progressing in the right direction. I spoke with Asmed and they said the fact that I have new hairs coming through before 3 months is a very positive sign. They also said the next 3 months now should be where I experience most of the growth. We shall see. As for my appearance now I have started to wander out without a hat as I think I actually look okay now head on. Can't believe it's been 3 months next week since the procedure. It has actually gone by very quickly.
  3. Cheers Jax. The waiting and wondering part is the hardest part of this whole process isn't it. Enjoy your weekend.
  4. What a change from month 3 to 4. I'm approaching month 3 now and have a lot of black dots appearing so here's hoping to a month like you had. Month 4 is still so early as well. You have another 4 months of potential new growth and then another year of thickening.
  5. Just a quick post as I'm starting to see a lot of new hairs popping through and thought I'd share some pics. I'm just over 11 weeks. Excuse the lighting, my bathroom mirror light isn't the best!
  6. That's amazing Jax and not even at 5 months yet. I'm 2 months behind you and am just starting to notice lots of new hairs popping through. Will be made up if it looks like yours in two more months. Amazing! Really pleased for you.
  7. Yeah I washed firmly from day 1. I made sure the staff at Asmed showed me how firm I could be. I was surprised that you could be much firmer than I thought. I was clear of all scabs by day 9. I've notice a load more hairs popping through this morning. Given me a bit of a boost!!
  8. You must be at 8 months now. Happy with how things have turned out? Would be nice to see an update if you have time.
  9. 11 Weeks Post Op No big changes again. It is definitely a case of slow and steady. I think because I'm looking every day for new hairs popping through I'm not noticing them. I'm definitely getting some growth and I guess at 11 weeks it is still so early so I should be happy but I am definitely feeling more impatient now than ever. The doubts that it will never grow do creep in your head. My crown has definitely improved but I don't think this is new growth. I think this is just because I switched back to propecia and am using the lasercomb again which bodes well. I am still experiencing itching and tingling all over my head and Asmed tell me this is a really good sign. Different pictures in different lighting and conditions again. Will update again next week as usual.
  10. It's still very itchy but there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of new growth. There is some but nothing that's making a big visual difference. I am hoping your right and the next few weeks it really starts to kick in as I am beginning to feel a little apprehensive and impatient now. I'm only at just under 11 weeks though so perhaps am expecting too much at this point. I hope so mate! The waiting is tough though. I know people say to forget about it but each day I'm looking to see what new growth I've had and it's painfully slow.
  11. I'm also at 2.5 months and have new growth although it's a little sparse. The fact we are getting new growth at this point can only be a positive. I had some transplanted hairs not shed (about 50 maybe) but mine have all continued to grow as normal. I haven't had any stay the same size. You could try washing a little harder or pulling on them to see if they come out.
  12. Here's a picture to show you how my shock loss is beginning to return as well. First picture is from a month ago and the other was taken today.
  13. 10 Weeks Post Op Had some serious tingling / itchy head thing going on the past week and I can see a lot of new dark dots in the recipient area so am hoping things are starting to move now. It's a slow process though, I keep waking up expecting to look like marouane fellaini (belgian footballer) so maybe I need to lower my expectations slightly. I have no redness or pain. It is hard not to have an itch now and then. It is business as normal though. Pictures below include: wet, dry, recipient area and donor area.
  14. Just a quick one before my weekly update as my head has been tingling like mad this weekend and I can see a load more black dots coming through. Think it's about to kick off! Exciting times!!
  15. I don't know I'm afraid about a sauna. I asked when I could have a sun bed as I look so pale at the moment and was told to wait till 6 months. I can't imagine temperature would effect the grafts as I sweat so much when working out at the gym but always best to ask Asmed directly. Cheers pal, appreciate that. You can't go far wrong with Dr Erdogan in my opinion. I'm in contact with a number of patients and I've seen nothing but brilliant results.
  16. 4 days after surgery?? I don't think that is anywhere near enough time to be returning to work. My face was still really swollen at that point, I think that will be really hard to disguise it. Could you not take any more time off?
  17. 9 Weeks Post Op The only real change is that my old existing hair is returning now and I think my appearance is becoming more acceptable. I have added the laser comb, switched from generic to propecia and added some supplements to my regime following surgery and I honestly think my existing hair is coming back thicker. Even the crown has more baby hairs than were there previously. I know everyone reacts differently but I think the laser comb really helps strengthen my hair. No growth of any new hairs yet but my recipient areas the past few days have been feeling really itchy and I've had a load of spots come and go so I'm hoping things are about to start moving soon. Feeling generally really positive about things so far but will admit that I am beginning to feel a little impatient. Attached a few pics of different areas and conditions. First 2 wet, next 2 dry, donor area, recipient area and then how I'm wearing it at the moment.
  18. 2 Month Post Op Thought I'd post a few pics as I hit two months today. Will post my proper 9 week update tomorrow. Pics are wet, dry, with aloe vera gel and how it looks face on.
  19. Looking forward to seeing your two months pics. I hit two months tomorrow. Think I'm just coming out of the ugly duckling stage now thank goodness.
  20. My patient coordinator Sema has her own email address and I communicated with her on this email address. She will come back to you. sema@asmed.com.tr
  21. I think it looks brilliant for 4 months. A lot of people only start to begin to show growth at this point so I would be really pleased pal. Many more months of growth and thickening to come.
  22. I had about a 7 month wait but only because I had planned to have it in December as I wanted the Christmas break off work. I'm surprised you haven't heard back as they replied to me within 24 hours.
  23. Grade 1.5 is about 4.5mm. I am guessing that it is that. I personally think I can get away with a grade 1 but if you look really closely you can see some scars. They are usually very prompt at replying. I think you could be seen in a few months.
  24. Amanzing change pal. I'm just about 2 months out from ASMED myself so if I can experience that level of growth over the next month then I am going to be over the moon.
  25. I use Johnsons baby shampoo daily but also use a tea tree based shampoo twice a week which is meant to be really good for dealing with spots. Asmed told me to give it a try. Maybe try adding that in to your regime. I still also use Aloe Vera gel daily.
