  1. I’m sure people are smart enough to see that my second procedure was from 2018, it says it in the title. I rarely post as I don’t really think about hair loss anymore. I’ve had contact with Dr Bisanga as would prefer to utilise some beard hair for the crown and just a few hundred for the temples as don’t want to use any more of my donor area due to the thinning from two procedures. I may never get it done. Just putting it out there that I’ve occasionally considered it. Sorry to hear about your experience at Asmed. Hard for me to comment as that wasn’t my experience and I have no idea what it’s like now as was such a long time ago. I have no contact with anyone there as the people I was close too have moved on. Hope you find a solution anyway. All the best.
  2. Definitely wasn’t me. I’m not one to turn down a free drink. That’s how it works mate, I have to give thanks to all the guys before me who reviewed Asmed. Enjoy your post transplant life as with a result like yours, the positive impact is unquestionable.
  3. Hey all, long time no speak. Hair still going strong. Occasionally have thoughts about temple work but remind myself of how far I’ve come and to stop being greedy. 40 now, 6 years since my first procedure and hoping that the hair will still be looking the same for my 50th. Sad to see some negative comments regarding Asmed and the team. I can’t comment on the present but I will always be eternally grateful to Dr Koray. My confidence today is higher than it was the whole of my twenties. A recent couple of pic to show its still all there and as thick as ever. All the best to everyone and hope your journeys are going well. @Melvin- Moderator Will be following your latest procedure with much anticipation. Looks like fantastic work and I’m sure you will get the result you hope for. Cheers Daniel
  4. Looking good mate. Glad my account could provide you with some support. 6 years since my first procedure, 4 since my second and i’m still over the moon with it! Enjoy it, changed my life 👍🏻
  5. Hi all, Sorry it's been such a long time since I've been active on here but in all honesty I rarely think about hair loss nowadays. There have been times, I've considered having some temple work done and did consult with Dr Bisanga about utilising chest hair to do this but I think I'm just being greedy. Weirdly enough the whole transplant experience is a little addictive as well and I kind of do miss the process. It's been two years since my second procedure and my hair is as strong as ever. Thought I would share a couple of photos of my hair today and for context my inital photos that I shared with Asmed prior to having any work done. Can't even remember looking like that. Amazing job they did and I am eternally grateful to Dr Koray and the team. Other than that, I hope everyone is well and keeping safe. Merry Christmas!
  6. Sorry chaps, life has been so busy so haven’t posted a 12 month update. I’m now at 13 months and my hair is actually a joke how good it is. It’s been the best decision I ever made. The number of compliments I get on my hair from people who have no idea that I’ve had any work done is amazing! I still read a lot of posts on here but it’s hard to stay as involved when hair loss is not something you think about anymore. I’ve attached a photo of me right now in my car so you can see what it looks like. And one of me out in natural light. I’ve let it grow out and I’m trying a different look. No concealer, just hair spray!
  7. No I don't at all. Should just delete it. I don't use Saw Palmetto as I noticed a few sides. Stopped Pumpkin seed oil years ago. Used Lasercomb for the first 3 months of recovery and then stopped. So really all I'm using is Propecia, Nizoral shampoo and a daily tablet of MSM and Biotin.
  8. 11 Months Post Op Still going strong. I've grown my donor area out to see how it looks and as you can see it looks absolutely fine at this longer length. Crown has also really thickened up now. Final post next month.
  9. How many people have killed themselves? What kind of scare mongering is this? You are aware that millions of people take this drug daily without any issues whatsoever. Do you own research, speak to your GP. End off.
  10. Nearly 10 Months Post Op Very happy with where I am. Not having to use any concealer when styling my hair now. The second transplant has added the density that I was looking for. I turn 37 tomorrow and I'm hoping that I'm pretty set for a good while now. Propecia seems to be still working well and there is always DUT if not. Taken these photos in the harshest light I could find. Will do another update at the year mark now as any changes are very minor.
  11. 8 and a half months Sorry I've been quiet but have been away for most of the holiday period with my family. Not the greatest photos as being honest my hair loss is a thing of the past and not something I worry about one bit anymore. I restyle my hair with my hands during the day, go out side with it as it is after waking up. It's crazy the impact it has had on my life. I even had a new girl in the office this week tell me that I look like I will never lose my hair as I get older. Love it. Hair is lighter due to trying out a sun activated bleach dye whilst being away. Went a big ginger.
  12. Couldn't agree anymore Melvin. Everyone seems to now expect a full head of hair after one pass. People need to understand that even after a number of surgeries you will still never be back to where you were pre-hair loss. We are working with a limited number of grafts to provide an illusion of density. In large this lack of understanding and disappointment is why I've been spending less time on this forum. Comparing these two photos this is a very good result for the amount of grafts. Everyone needs to remember their starting point.
  13. Cheers chaps, really appreciate it. I am genuinely over the moon. I really don't even think about hair loss anymore. The crown has filled in nicely as well which I'll show at the 7 month update. I would love to close my temple points a little but I just don't have the donor left to do it.
  14. Today is a good day! 6 and a half months and my hairline is really maturing and looks so natural now. This is my hair brushed back with gel in it and I couldn’t be any happier with how it’s turning out. No fibres in it whatsoever. This is where I wanted to get too. Can’t even put into words how happy I am with how it has turned out. Hopefully will see a little more improvement over the next few months as well! i
  15. Good luck for your procedure today. I would agree about the deep sleep concern as I lost a graft myself on the first night after my second procedure due to this. Whatever the doctor tells you, they are doing so to optimise your results so trust them.
  16. Cheers guys, appreciate it. I do think I'm one of those people who will always want more. Have to keep looking back at my first pre-op photos to remind myself just how far I have come.
  17. 6 Months Post Op Not much to say. Hairline is much better and hopefully it will improve a little more as it matures. Looking back at my first procedure my hairline was really thin and sparse at 6 months and then really thickened up by month 9 so hopefully this will be the case again. Will update again at 7 months.
  18. Two pictures in outside natural lighting with gel in my hair and pushed back to show the density I have at 5 months. Pretty happy with it without fibres now and should see some added density over the next 7 months. Appreciate everyone didn’t think I needed the second pass but has made such a big difference already.
  19. 5 Months Post Op Still improving. Can now see lots more small hairs and black dots appearing under the skin so certain there is lots more to come. It has been a slower process this time but from research I’ve done this seems to be because of previous scar tissue. With a little fibre use my hairline is now my dream hairline. Hoping over the next 6 months it will get to the point where I don’t need to use any. The crown is also filling in now nicely as well. Looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring. I personally think the donor looks fine as well. Had it shaved this weekend to a 0.5 grade and looks good with hardly any scarring visible. Pictures are with wet hair, dry hair and then I’ve done close ups of both crown and hairline so you can see the improvement and new hairs. I think it’s safe to say I shouldn’t need another pass for as long as finasteride continues to serve me well.
  20. I know Asmed are getting a lot of stick for hairline work at the minute and having seen some of the other posts I agree some look below expectation but I just wanted to say that I’m already over the moon with my second pass. This is my hairline now and I’m only at 5 months. Appreciate it’s taken me two passes to get here though. On a separate note if I part my hair in the right way then I look like I have bare patches. It’s just the way things are if you had a large amount of loss. It’s an illusion of density so I grow my hair longer and push it back. Not saying some of the result aren’t below expectation but I do think people need to be realistic as well going in. The expectation is that people are going to come out with the hair they had prior to any loss. This just isn’t the case. Will post my 5 month photos tomorrow.
  21. Agreed but my donor is cut very short. When I allow it to grow a few weeks it looks much better. So I have that option. For my next update i’ll leave it a while so you guys can see. Certainly not planning any more surgeries in the next ten years though. Unless cloning becomes a reality. 😉
  22. It’s certainly not hair greed. My vertex needed concealer prior to the second procedure so it wasn’t see through and my hair line wasn’t strong enough to brush backwards. Even after this procedure I won’t have the thickness I once had but I’m just hoping that I will have enough to give me the illusion of density I require to no longer need to use concealer. That is the dream!
  23. Quick up close shot at 4.5 months which really shows all the new hairs that are breaking through now. Can’t wait to see what the hair line looks like when these all grow through. It’s very difficult to notice new growth when it is implanted within an existing hair line. I haven’t notice any visual changes to my appearance yet so at least I know things are happening.
