  1. Looking good Jax. I agree that you would want to see a little more density but as you say that should improve over the next 12 months now. Think of where you started. I'm at 5 months and struggling with density as well. Outline looks great but I have so much more to come through??
  2. As promised here is a comparison photo with Month 3,4 and 5. It's only when you look at these that you feel how far you've come. Month 3 is the top photo and Month 5 the bottom. Frontal region, wet hair and the crown comparison. Spex hits the nail on the head in his 'Patience post'. You do start to feel like you are having no more growth at this stage but it's just slow and gradual. I'm going to try not to check it every day but it is hard.
  3. Looks neat and dense, good work. Just look after them really well until the scabs are all off. Take it easy!
  4. Yeah I'm sure it will get more dense but it's just odd why hairs all come out at their own time. I think by Month 6 I am will be in a much better position. Added a crown pic in my last update. You will be in good hands. Cheers pal, as are you.
  5. 22 Weeks Post Op Not much more to report. Some days I think it is getting better. Other days I think it hasn't improved. Whatever is happening, it's happening slowly! The crown has definitely improved from where I started, as has the front to be honest but I still am a long way from where I want to be. It's hard to see if any new hairs are growing because of the other hairs now.
  6. 5 Months Post Op So it was officially 5 months yesterday. I'll stick to doing my weekly updates until month 6 and then switch to monthly as things seem to be gaining some momentum now. But I have posted two photos below so you can see where I am. I can see a lot more hairs coming through so I am hoping for the density and thickness to change a lot over the next month.
  7. Just had my hair cut at a hairdressers for the first time in years. I used to get a mobile hairdresser to do it as didn't want people to see my actual hair line. Not only was it such a nice feeling but having the hair all cut shorter has made me realise just how far my hair has come and I'm starting to feel much more confident that in another few months this will be a great result. It's aloe vera gel in my hair if you were wondering. Was told by Asmed that it's fine to use.
  8. Keep posting updates if you don't mind please as I think my growth is very much in line with yours. I'm just approaching 5 months and still seems quite sparse so hoping to really see the difference as you did over the next two months!
  9. It will improve but I do also agree that you should have new hairs to come through yet. I'm in a similar boat just a month behind you. I have a load more to come but are coming through slowly.
  10. 21 Weeks Post Op So it is improving albeit slowly, I think as I'm inspecting so closely every day I'm not noticing. When I look back at older photos it's amazing how far I've come. I would like to have had better density at this point but I suppose we all grow at our own rates. I'm at 5 months next week so will update then and attached comparison photos. I can still see smaller hairs appearing so this is a good thing. I'm getting my hair cut on top for the first time tomorrow so maybe this will even it out a bit more. I still speak to Asmed once a week and they assure me everything is going as it should be.
  11. Hope so mate! Cheers pal. It's only because I've seen others at this stage with much better coverage than me. This picture is in natural light and I suppose for 4 and a bit months it's going really well.
  12. Cheers mate. There is definite improvement month on month as well. I think I am just being impatient.
  13. 20 Weeks Post Op Same as before in that the hair line is becoming really well defined now but am just lacking the density. I'm still at only 4 and a half months so I'm hoping that over the next two months it will all come through as can still see gaps where there were hairs transplanted. My head has been itching lots over the last week so I'm going to take this as a sign that things are still happening. It is definitely improving and with a little hair fibres I can make it look really well. I don't really use them though unless I have a big meeting and only a little on the crown. Still feeling very impatient as want to be able to see the final result but I guess everyone goes through that.
  14. You are right they do provide a hat, an odd hat it is as well. But I was told to not wear it until my scabs had come off. Too risky a day after surgery to have a hat rubbing against grafts or cutting of circulation. You think it's going to be a big deal that people can see you but I assure you that you won't care once you are there. You're focus will be on protecting those hairs, not what others are thinking of you.
  15. As it's my first procedure it's hard to know if it helped with the healing process as I have no comparison. I did seem to not suffer from redness as others did but my skin always recovers quickly. I started again as I definitely see an improvement in thickness with my hair when I use it. I know many doubt its effectiveness but it definitely does something for me. You're in good hands with Asmed! Not allowed to wear a hat flying back home. No hats for the first two weeks I believe. I was a little worried about this as well but once you've been through it you don't actually care. There must have been 15 other people in the airport who had had procedures and 3 on my actual flight. It's a few hours of your life and you'll never see them again. Some people asked me about and were intrigued. People care less than you think.
  16. It is fairly even I suppose, just need more of it!!! Cheers mate! I started using the laser comb after all my scabs had come off. My original hair does seem much thicker but this could be the Fin as well. Less growth on the crown so far but lots of stubble and fine hairs so I'm hoping it thickens up over the next few months. It's definitely improved. Just a waiting game!
  17. 19 Weeks Post Op Definitely seen an improvement this week. I was away for a long weekend and as such wasn't checking my hair as often and when I came back the front seems to have thickened up slightly. There is still a difference between the hair line thickness and what was transplanted behind but there are still hairs coming through. Still a slow process and a lot more hair to come through but am feeling a little more positive now. The outline is there just need more hair and for it to thicken.
  18. Thanks mate!! It's not till you look back at photos from the previous month that you really see the difference. Here is a photo I took at work at month 3 and month 4.
  19. 18 Weeks Post Op Not much to say as don't think much has changed since last week. As I've said before it's still quite sparse but can see new hairs coming through just not a huge amount. I am still getting some itching so hope this is a sign that things are still happening. Appreciate everyone saying that I look like I'm on track. It's just my own impatience that's getting to me.
  20. 4 Month Update Just a quick post to celebrate my 4 month mark. I've had a small bit of growth but according to Asmed I should see a large amount of the multiple grafts come through over the next two months. It's definitely improving week on week but it's very gradual. I don't seem to have had a wave of sudden growth as others have. I've been in constant contact with Asmed and they assure me all is fine and I am still seeing new hairs coming through so I guess I'm a just a slower grower. I will say this that mentally this has been the toughest time for me. When you are expecting the hairs to start showing their faces and they don't, it is hard to not become anxious that they never will. It's only this morning when I look back at my 3 months pics that do I see just how many hairs have come through. The dual photo below is the difference month 3 to 4. The others are just a few quick photos from this morning.
  21. I think you'll find the density keeps improving for the full 12 months and then even beyond that. I'm a month behind you and my growth seems slower and less dense than others but Asmed have assured me it will catch up and that people grow at different rates. You are still only at 5 months so a long way to go. This part is frustrating though isn't it!
  22. 17 Weeks Post Op Again very subtle changes and I'm still waiting for a ton more hairs to come through. Hoping they turn up over the next month as it would seem a lot of people experience good growth between month 4 and 5. The hairs that have come through are getting thicker and longer which is making it less noticeable that I've had anything done, it just looks a little like I'm thinning in the front now. Crown is still improving and I think over the next few months that will fill in well. It's my 4 month mark in 3 days but I will continue to update weekly to my 6 month mark as people have asked me too. I am getting a little anxious about how many more hairs are yet to appear, especially behind the hair line. Here's hoping for a positive next month!
  23. It's 2.5 Euros per graft so it was 12,500 Euros. Sorry there is a lot of writing. Maybe I should switch to monthly updates!
  24. 16 Weeks Post Op It's still coming through but as I keep saying it isn't anything you'd notice on a daily basis. I think my growth is just going to be slow and steady. It's definitely improving week on week and I can still see lots of new hairs coming through. There are still a lot to come through but I still have another 2 and a half months of new growth to come so I'm not worried but am a little impatient. The crown seems to be improving more quickly than the hairline which is slightly odd as I was led to believe the opposite would be true. Pictures below. I think one of the hardest challenges is seeing others have almost full growth at 3 months when you are well behind that. But then you see others who experience the majority of growth at the 5 month mark. Welcome any comments advising how people think my growth is getting on. It's 16 weeks, 10 days away from 4 months. As a side note I have dropped Saw Palmetto from my supplements as I noticed a slight decrease in libido. Only started taking them in January and the past two months I've just felt a little uninterested. I've been off it for a week and am feeling back to my old self. Odd as have been on Finasteride for 13 years with no issues. Maybe it was a bit overkill. Worth mentioning though.
