  1. Great transformation Ghumanz! When are you planning to get the crown addressed? Just a word of caution, don't deplete your donor completely. Have some for the lateral humps just in case if you lose them in the future. Consult with your doctor about how much lateral humps would need and use the rest for the crown... Congrats again
  2. Thats a tough question to answer. Sharing your pre-op pics might help some members make a guess...
  3. I am surprised that only ~2000 scalp grafts were available. Can someone help me understand why...
  4. Any pics of the crown? I understand that the crown was not touched in this op but I am interested to see it though...
  5. I dont think it is difficult to add more density with another op. People do it all the time. I think an average density of 40 grafts per sq cm should be sufficient to provide a good illusion of density. These grafts would be concentrated more near the hairline, say 50-55 grafts per cm, that the crown, say 25-30 grafts per cm. I am sure the doctor would take care of this aesthetic design so dont worry. My guess is that a typical norwood 5/6 would have 175-200 cm2 reciepient area. For average density of 40 grafts per cm, one would need 7000-8000 grafts. These are just my thoughts. Consult with Dr.Bhatti as he would be able to give you a clear personalized plan to achieve what you want. Please share your pre-op pics too...
  6. It might be tough to give a dense pack all over the top given the high norwood you are. But I agree that the hairline could be a bit more dense. Do you happen to have some pre-op op pics? Are there any native hairs up there or were you fully bald?
  7. Thanks a lot Dipan! Appreciate it Your 1 week post op looks good. I am surprised how the doctor was able to harvest 5000+ grafts when dr.bhatti said that you only had 1500 grafts in the donor. Are all the grafts from scalp? Or did the beard grafts were also used?
  8. @Dipan, Congratulations I hope you get the result you deserve. I've been impressed by harin's result and I will be following yours regularly. Please do update us through your progress. @Rashid35, I beleive dht is fue but the extracted grafts are implanted as soon as possible. This reduces the time the grafts are out of the body and increases the survival rate.
  9. Thanks for the info HTsoon. Do you happen to know any doctors in the greater Seattle area doing a similar analysis?
  10. HTsoon, Do you know where one can get his scalp checked for miniaturization scientifically?
  11. Great! Looking forward to your thread on your transplant journey
  12. i agree with your view on scar excision. Try fue into scar. If it doesn't work out, you can try scar excision then.
  13. @Paulygon, it is interesting that your doctor says that you might not need fin due to your hair characteristics. Do you happen to know how thick your hairs are?
  14. look into dr.lorenzo in spain for fue
  15. am sorry about your scar. Did it stretch after 3 years or was it stretched from the start, say 6 months from the op? As for scar excision or fue, i suggest you look into dr.lindsey. search for his scar excision posts on the forum. i recommend a consult with him.
  16. Hi Dipan, Can you please start a new thread about your hair transplant journey? I am very interested in it...
  17. Hi KiranJainn, From your display pic, it seems that u have extensive balding. You need to manage your expectations and be careful about each and every donor graft. I think you have roughly 200cm2 of are to be transplanted. Average native graft density is about 70 per cm2. But roughly half of it is enough to create an illusion of density. Thus you would need 200*35= 7000 grafts to create an illusion of density throughout the scalp. Note that you can never dense pack as you dont have sufficient donor grafts to do that. It is not advisable to dense pack high norwood people I can understand your need to transplant as much as possible as soon as possible. But I urge you to be patient and think it through. I have seen many people transplant large amount of grafts in multiple surgeries. Most do it over years. Soe do it over days/weeks. Check out harin's thread. I believe he had 9000 grafts (both scalp and beard) transplanted in multiple sessions in consecutive weeks. Which ever path you choose to go, please remember that there is no turning back.
  18. tough to make a call as the hairs are shorter in the pre op pics but longer in the post op pics. any idea what the thickness of the hairs are?
