  1. How did I miss this thread. Ridiculously good result MichiganMatt. I hope to see a result such as this. We all do!
  2. come to think of it, regarding my "is this shockloss or is #3 too short" question, I should have mentioned that I still have some pins 'n needles when I touch my donor area, and it feels a bit funny/strange/quasi-numb when I lay my head on my pillow (at 3.5 months). Perhaps this means the healing is incomplete, and thus shockloss could indeed be going on? Dunno...
  3. A lot thicker hair caliber than I would have guessed in pre-op and immediate post-op pics. Great job doc
  4. Good luck to you mate. Looking forward to reading your story.
  5. I don't want to play 'cover-up' so I think I'll try a #4 guard instead next time. See if that works.
  6. "When i asked other doctors opinions, they told me the harvest technique was done in professional way and it all good" ^ you should revisit Spanker's post my friend
  7. Curious as to whether or not you could post an updated pic of this? If not I understand...
  8. Take a ton of immediate PRE-op pics so you'll be even more amazed when post-op results show up in a few months. Good luck man!
  9. I went down to a #3 guard today to see what my donor looks like with my hair that short. I realize that at a little over 3 months post-op, this may or may not be "how it's going to look" at a #3 guard from here on out. I've attached 3 pics of my donor scar area. My question for those of you with more experienced eyes than mine (this is my first HT) is this: AM I EXPERIENCING SHOCK LOSS? --> seems more "dented" than it does "missing hair" above/below the scar. Your input is hugely appreciated. thanks!
  10. I'd have to agree that collectively, adding his 2 HT's together, Rooney could have done much better. I doubt he researched as much as all of us guys have/do.
  11. Search this site for Dr. Mohebi. He's in Los Angeles. If this is your first post and you're new to the forum, do yourself a huge favor and read everything you can here before making any big decisions.
  12. Wow, huge difference. Natural looking too. How's hairline look up close? This is gonna be a sick result
  13. Just my 2 cents, but if you're going to go through with a HT you should probably stay on finasteride. I mean, being on it that long, I'm guessing you've had no side effects, right? i've been on it longer than you with no sides, and if I were to stop it I bet I'd lose my mid-scalp / remaining non-HT front third, and crown relatively quickly. :-(
  14. So, I was sitting here today staring at my hair as we tend to do at 3 months, 3 days post-op. I was looking at myself without having a haircut since a shaved head on day 0. It looked terrible, and I thought to myself "this ugly duckling" bullsh*t is lousy. Realizing it wouldn't be possible to look any worse, I hustled down to my local SuperCuts and told them to "#3 this mess everywhere" (YES, the guy asked me if I'd had a HT -- I said "of course!" and left it at that). So... after the haircut I was stunned at how much "fuller" my HT area looked when I reduced the length of my native hair to a #3! In darker rooms it looks 'amaze.' --- honestly, I was a bit critical of my HT until I got a haircut just now. Has sprouting begun? -- I'd say 'not really,' but a helluva lot better than the pic with my hair longer. First pic, immediately pre-op / post-op, 2nd pic is before today's haircut, others are after haircut in various lighting. I'd already look OK in a dark Mexican restaurant or a nightclub, lol ADVICE -- if you're @3-3.5 months, get a haircut man!!
  15. Erdogan more expensive because suggesting more grafts? If it were me, I'd save more $ if I were in your shoes.
  16. Mav, do you know what # guard you used in the back when getting your haircut? Wondering if a #4 guard still hides your FUT scar.
  17. Oh snap! Bummer to see this. I assume you've sought feedback from the clinic?
  18. Impressive for 4 months. Any Pics in harsh light?
  19. Hair looks great man. Just curious - what was your reasoning behind having grafts placed such that they direct themselves "to the right"?
  20. Htsoon/ ModernHair, Really needed to hear this - specifically pushing out the "shockloss" return to full status timeline. Rahal did say after examining my forelock in person from 1 foot away that my native hair in that area appeared stable/healthy. And he said people with my characteristics (skin/hair/Caucasian) generally have good recovery Have never used minox. 17yrs of fin has done the trick. Would using minox in currently barren recipient area really honestly help?....
  21. I wear a hat 24/7. Yeah the native forelock loss is a bummer. Bit skeptical about its return. Just read your thread about your HT with Lorenzo. You had same forelock issue, right? It came back strong @3.5 months?
