  1. Agree completely. Furthermore it's still way too early to judge the final result of this hair transplant. I had a HT with Dr. Hakan Doganay too January this year. Very happy with my results. Which technician did your extractions paleocapa89? I'm curious.
  2. Saw this on another forum. What do you guys think of this? Does it hold some truth, or not at all?
  3. That is a very good result. What hair diameter did he have? I assume he has quite thick hair right? Excellent job!
  4. Looks very good already and you are only at 6 months! Demirsoy seems to do a really good job it seems. Thanks for keeping us updated.
  5. Sounds like you had a good experience. Hope you grow well! Keep us updated with pictures.
  6. Ahh ok , that explains it thanks . Thanks again and no problem.
  7. Blake just a bit off topic but where do you pull these numbers from? Just recently I read from someone else that Feriduni almost completely performs FUE, with FUT being a minority. The guy is so extremely occupied because of his FUE work primarily lol. The whole online community fancies him as the god of FUE pretty much. You can PM me how you got these numbers, thanks.
  8. Feriduni/Bisanga both offer FUT at a cheaper price than FUE and both are elite level. What is your budget? Just work a little bit harder and save up some more so you are completely sure you go with a quality surgeon.
  9. Sounds like you had a great experience. Congratulations keep us updated and I hope you get a great results. I want to see this doctor at the top! Do you have a pre-op picture?
  10. Gotta be patient, some people just grow slower . That said where is the recommendation of Dr. Karadeniz here?
  11. Thanks David, your hair is looking great on your avatar too!
  12. Thanks Windjammer, I sure am . I find FUE overall superior to FUT. It's less invasive, has less downtime, no linear scar. I don't see how I would benefit from having a FUT when I have the option to go for a FUE. My donor is fine. I have no density concerns but it has taken a hit for sure though. If I'll ever have a subsequent procedure I'll need to leave the most areas alone where extractions have taken place. Thanks NoTakeBacks, I use "parucci funky styler". It's a strong matte wax. This is a comment from a guy on my 2 week post op pictures who has been in this industry for many years and has stand for years besides Hasson & Wong and also worked for Rahal. I think that says a lot. This brings me to my next point. On a artistic level I feel he is incredible. Personally I find that he has an awesome touch of recreating a natural appearance of the hair. That is based on the online results that I have seen. He came over to me as a confident ethical down to earth guy who doesn't care that much about money. A while ago when I e-mailed them about the lack of growth of one side they said that I should wait and if I was still unhappy at the 1 year mark that I could come in for a small touch up for free. I do think they should keep a sharp eye though in regards to some aspects. For instance I have told them in person I didn't like a particular case of them where they had a long surgery day with a high graft count and so a high out of body time for the grafts. I mean they are busy I do understand that but quantity should not come over quality. Technician involvement is important too but this accounts for every doctor that uses technicians, I want a skilled technician if he is going to be involved in my surgery. On that note I will add the name of the technician who did my extractions if I find out what his name is (forgot about that totally). It should be overall more clear in my opinion which technician(s) are involved if results are posted. That said I personally find him to be 1st tier for FUE worldwide pretty much and at the top of Turkey with Erdogan.
  13. Thought I would post some pictures. Quite great and funny how things can go in a few months as you can see! I'll be heading to 8 months post-op soon. The next and last update will be at 12 months and will be more detailed with harsh close up shots. I thank Dr. Doganay and his staff again for the excellence. If only I had hair thicker than 50 micron though! The hair greed lol . (bottom picture of the 5 pics is with hair brushed back)
  14. Bernstein and Harris probably both around normal/mediocre level. Feller is good at FUT, not good at FUE. H&W absolute elite at FUT. The best of the best. I think almost everyone will concur with this one. Don't know about the Shapiro you mention. So for FUT the choice for me would be simple, H&W. For FUE I would broaden my options. The FUE elite is centered in Europe primarily. Good luck.
  15. Congrats on your surgery hope you get a good result! Keep us updated. How much did you pay by the way ?
  16. No nobody will be able to tell you that. That's a very good game plan. Your hair is still very great at this moment. If I were you I would still wait like 1-3 years. Just chill out a few months, your hairline will probably regress more considering you can't go on finasteride and then fill the space up with a lovely FUE from a elite surgeon!
  17. 2000-2500 FUE seems about right! Have you consulted with doctors?
  18. Well said. I concur. You don't want the linear scar too as many people don't (who does? lol), so it should be clear for you. Keep a sharp eye. Look for independent patient results too. HTSoon makes some goods points by the way !
  19. Can't compare Feriduni with Feller though. That is a class apart. In FUT not even to mention at FUE lol. He is indeed very popular though. Considered by the whole online community to be the elite. One year ago I informed about the waiting list and it was like 11+ months, quite insane.
  20. If you plan to do it anyway, do it now immediately and come back in a year. Get the hair transplant out of your head now.
  21. The most important thing is to ask yourself what YOU want. FUE is gaining tremendously in popularity and is overtaking FUT heavily now. Yield wise I think the difference is negligible. That is assuming you go with a top FUE practitioner. We heard on this forum from a doctor that the ISHRS is performing a multi center study and is comparing the yield in FUT vs FUE. Preliminary results point to the survival rates being equal.
  22. Yes deterioration of donor hair certainly happens. Everyone will suffer from a general hair diameter decrease as one gets older, including in the donor area. Furthermore the hair follicles taken from the donor zone, even from the so called "safe donor zone" may succumb to miniaturization due to androgenetic alopecia. Also unrelated to androgenetic alopecia we have senescent alopecia which is typically characterized by diffuse hairloss all over the scalp and can hit as early as 40-50 years old. This also hits the donor hair. So the "safe donor zone" is a big fallacy.
  23. Do much research. Asses the benefits vs the risks for yourself. Finasteride is a pretty damn serious medication. Doctors can be biased. Ultimately the decision is up to you.
