  1. Clean work. Will be definitely following this. Are you decided on finasteride? If you want to reap the maximum benefits of your HT long term you def need to take it.
  2. Yeah, this is unsatisfactory. I pray for you that it will still turn out well, but that's highly unlikely. I find the graft amount also pretty low also to be honest? But I guess that is another discussion.
  3. Thank you. We did not work on his crown. He has another 2500-3000 grafts left. This patient has a good donor area. Thank you!
  4. You are an ideal candidate for medication to be honest, could really buff up your diffused areas. For your hairline and to fill in the temple, I guess something like 1500-2000 grafts would suffice. If you want to enhance your crown or midscalp (if that is possible, I think you need a live consult for that) you will be looking at more.
  5. No there shouldn't be any complications because of that. I mean on the operation day it's important you native hair doesn't get stuck in the crusts (blood) of your freshly implanted grafts. But thereafter I see no problems at all of covering your transplanted areas with your native hair.
  6. No, they won't dislodge that easy. You can hide your transplanted area with your own hair if you wish.
  7. Like other already have said, AGA is unpredictable. No way to tell if you have stabilized now.
  8. Has minoxidil worked for you in the beginning? Then it never "stops" working as long as you take it. If you stop with it though you will lose the results you have gained in the first place. I don't think taking it 2-3 days a week is a good idea, either take it once daily or cut it out completely. You could lose some, which can be significant even if you quit.
  9. What are your goals? You have a lot area to cover. You are a NW5 pretty much. Are you on finasteride?
  10. Do note that this patient literally just hit the 7-month mark. So more growth may still come and maturation of his current hair shafts is still expected. The lightning is also extremely harsh on the 7-month pictures as you can see. We will try and update this case later when you can expect the end result is there. Thank you.
  11. That's not what we strive for. You got a PM from me. Please contact me with any issues/concerns/questions you have. Thank you.
  12. I don't know how old you are, but I don't think you have to give up the idea of a hair transplant. There might some miniaturization in your donor area, but it definitely isn't advanced whatsoever. Frankly speaking, someone can only map for current miniaturization anyway, nobody can predict the future. If you do have current miniaturization going on in your donor area then going on finasteride will be pretty damn important Going for a live consult might be a wise idea.
  13. At best they will modulate your telogen/anagen ratio. Telogen hair follicles have the ability to respond sensitively and promptly with anagen induction to a large array of stimuli. Think of growth factors, cytokines, immunomodulatory compounds etc (shown in many studies). So it's logical that a treatment like PRP or LLLT can modulate this. If you decide to go for it, I wouldn't expect anything to be honest from these treatments. They definitely won't help in maintaining your hair.
  14. Well, it's always many times better to take medication. AGA is unpredictable and you can't foresee the future. You can map for current miniaturization, but nobody in this world can map for future miniaturization. Deviating from SDA only makes things riskier, I think that is where FUT shines anyway.
  15. You seem to be a good candidate. I'd say you need 1500, max 2000 grafts.
  16. Yeah, very good point Gillenator, I agree that social media probably has a big impact. Hopefully, this trend won't continue as the best information is found on forums like these imo.
  17. Stay on finasteride continuously. Why do you go on and off? Your donor is looking ok from what I can see. No need to use beard hair. Also, what are your goals? I assume fixing your temples and strengthening your hairline? You can't really work in your other areas as there is still plenty of density, that's why it's important that you stay on medication.
  18. It does seem that forums overall get less crowdy. HLH used to flourish and so did BTT, both pretty much dead now.
