    All, just an update, I have my first session of SMP booked for this Thursday, 7/29. Will keep you posted and will share pics. My 2nd session is slated for next Friday, 8/6. Wish me luck!

    This is what confuses me though. I need to follow up with the clinic to see if they would do the thickening if I shaved my back and sides. Not preferred but I don't have a problem doing it.

    Hard to say since I really don't go shorter than this...but there are noticeable gaps when a little shorter than this and it's not evenly spread. The pics I attached are a week and half after my haircut.

    That looks awesome man! I live in Jersey and really don't want to travel much for SMP if I can find a reputable clinic here. If it were a HT it would be a different story.

    I thought about this too. But if I did grow my hair out, wouldn't the smp be too light to make any noticeable difference? I'm thinking the thickening effect requires more ink than it would to mimick a shaved look.

    This was the response from the clinic btw: Sorry, yes I did at one time but do not any longer, my website is need of an update. This particular procedure is too physically taxing on me and my machine.

    Not yet. Honestly the SMP industry scares me with all the botched results I've seen so trying to get some personal recs before simply Google searching.

    I'm looking for a clinic in the northeast or mid-atlantic region that can provide SMP for a thickening effect in my donor area. I had a FUT procedure back in 2012 and a FUE procedure in 2015. I have naturally fine hair but lately I feel my donor looks thinner especially because I'm trying to have shorter sides and back and longer top. I reached out to AHEAD Ink and they said they do not provide thickening service on long hair which confused me because their website says otherwise. Either way, I was hoping the forum can provide some recs. Pics attached. Thanks!

    Curious as to what's your opinion - do you think it looks good or bad? I think a straightforward answer from an experienced viewer of HTs would add value. Personally it sort of looks like mine...not so natural but yield was good and got the job done. A general observer would only notice a good head of hair. However, if you're paying top dollar, I would've expected better or direct communication from Diep to the patient on expectations.

    thats typical fue scarring and it will look visible at that buzzed length you have, but I can see your concern. Growing your hair out a little more may solve the issue. work looks great to me.

    I'd recreate the hairline and some midscalp with as much scalp and beard hair as you can and use a hair system for the rest. Or shave, get smp and rock that beard hard! Medication looks to be a must. As Melvin mentioned, the retrograde alopecia pattern is a little concerning.

    Great result! However the presentation and quality of images can be much better..seems deceiving in a way.

    I asked the same question on this forum many years ago. General advice was that it would have no impact to mother and baby. Obviously as the doctor mentioned, the pills should never be touched by them. I am a father of 2 healthy baby boys. For the first I cut my fin intake in half and 2nd I was using as normal. Note I was 28 y/o when I had my first and 31 with my second.

    Currently growing out my hair and wear a loose fitted hairband to prevent hair from fall on my forehead and causing breakouts. Since it's loose fitted (don't feel any discomfort in tugging, maybe slight pulling), could this lead to hairloss around the hairline over time?

    Hahaha, thanks for the kind words man! Yeah I'm definitely happy with my procedure with Vories and recommend him whenever I get the chance. I just have a lot of buddies in the west coast who would prefer to stay local. I always direct them to this website to do a search but obviously have some names that have been ingrained in me such as diep, mohebi, etc.
