  1. I had a FUE of 2000 grafts 2 months ago. I know most people shed the transplanted hair 2-4 weeks after and the root stays in place. In my case, the majority of hair never fell out. It is still there and I can feel the stubble. I had my GF inspect and she confirmed this. She used tweezers to see if the hair would come out easily and it did. Should I be concerned? I'm worried these are failed implants or something. Weird they haven't fallen out like the majority of people. Anybody else here experience this issue? Thanks.
  2. Unreal! I had like 5000 put in my crown by a doctor from this site with less results... how did 800 grafts do this?
  3. Thanks Bill. I'm gonna highly consider it. I've been on Finasteride before my first hair transplant. And back then my hair wasn't even that bad. It continued to get worse over the 7 years... so much that I now have over 10K grafts transplanted. I running out of donor in the bank so I need to hold on to what I got with guns a blazing. I just want to get my scar fixed as best as possible just in case nothing works and I end up shaving my head to a 1/2 guard. I got enough on top to shape my face so that and some combined SMP will be my fall back plan.
  4. I'm in Asia now. But I learned never let distance be a factor. These scars are with you forever. An extra 500$ on a ticket or 10 hours on a plane is worth peace of mind for the decision that will last forever. I have much regret going to the cheapest coalition doctor I could find.
  5. Yeah, the coalition list is not created equally. It's impossible for it to be. But I understand this site is a business first and not a charity. It is the best site for patients in existence however. But patients should be aware that you can't just choose anyone on the list and get great results.
  6. Certainly choosing only the best for this. Hasson and Wong is #1 for me right now just bc I have been seeing their results for years. Always stellar.
  7. The FUT gets removed pretty fast. After that's gone and you are sewed up. (please make sure you are choosing a top FUT surgeon and you will get a good scar) You can use headphones during the other time. Get some ebooks and take the valium. You be in and out of sleep most likely and time will go faster than you think.
  8. Yeah Speegs I'm already on it. Looking at Hasson and Wong most likely. They have numerous photos of scars on their site and I've seen them posting spectacular results on here since I joined 7 years ago. No doubt they can make it better. I would even care if it was more than "pencil" wide. It's the indent that makes me unable to hide it. If it were flat, FUE into it and SMP would make it great.
  9. I had no pain the next day and none since then from Dr. Larwong in Thailand. Crazy that pain exists after 2 years.
  10. Yes I agree that I'm gonna be more vocal bc my negative experience. But there are more than just a few that have also had bad results with a scar. (Mine was with a coalition doc as well) So there is no guarantee. But in my opinion, a FUE is a better option if you have even a 10% chance you might want to shave your head in the future. As we know, hair loss is progressive and unpredictable. Having a ear to ear scar eliminates the option if things don't work out in your favor. I know FUT works and gives great results to most people if you choose a doctor from this site. But in 10-20 years who is gonna keep losing hair and want the option to shave it. At least with FUE you can wear hair at 1/4 to 1/2 an inch and look pretty normal. Anyways it's my opinion and I would warn anybody to think it through before getting a FUT. There is a reason FUE is now the surgery of choice. However, I will change the title of this post since it's a bit extreme and I wrote out of anger. edit can we not edit older post anymore? Also edit. I don't believe most are pencil thin. I always wonder what that meant. The width of an actual pencil? or the line a pencil draws? A quick google image search shows otherwise. ( sorry, I had to remove the link because it somehow messing up the format of the community )
  11. Yeah I just filled out an online consult. Probably hear back in a few days. I have no doubt they can do a better job. The indentation is bc it was closed too tight. After my first FUT, I had a great scar that I could barely find so I know it's not a physiology thing. I just want to be able to wear my hair at 1/2 to 1 inch without the dent shaping the hair. I'm confident I will get it fixed. Just more money to spend..
  12. Here is my hair 25 days after shaving. So near 1/2inch. Fuking hell. Looks like absolute shit. Hope Hasson and Wong can sort me out a little better. The doctor that did this clearly doesn't sew well. I was told by Dr. Larwong that I have plenty of scalp laxity. Careful who you allow to slice your head open folks.
  13. Me too buddy. I have a terrible FUT scar. I tried FUE into bit it still sucks because it's indented. I think I'm gonna go with Hasson and Wong clinic. My head was shaved 25 days ago so my hair is about half an inch and it's still clearly visble. sucks
  14. Already put beard hair into the scar Melvin. scar was almost cm wide and indented in. In a few weeks my hair will grow over it. Just sucks that the option of shaving my head is forever ruined by my dumb choice of FUT. DON'T DO IT PEOPLE.
  15. I'm having a little vent sorry for the vulgar language in the title. I am just livid right now that I got a horrific scar on the back of my head for life. I just had another FUE and I can see the severity of the heinous cut. I even had FUE beard grafts put into it by Dr. Bhatti but they are not near enough to make it covered after 5 days shaved. But it is better than it was so beard grafts can hide it somewhat. The skin is also indented inward, not sure if that is a normal closure or not.. My FUE I just got is already healed and the donor if fine. But gonna take weeks to cover this thing. What kills me much is my head looks good shaved and since I'm continuing to lose hair possible, I will never be able to just shave to one guard. I am going to look into going to a great FUT doctor later to see if I can get a better scar. The so-called "pencil thin scar"... is what I hope to achieve and then FUE into that and SMP. Then just maybe I can shave my head in the future. My advice to people is DO NOT GET A FUT TRANSPLANT. Start with FUE and if the donor runs out completely and you still want hair, then you can get a FUT.. The young guys are lucky the FUE is so perfected now and you can forgo FUT. Don't let a doctor tell you it's a pencil-thin scar. Just look at my scar courtesy of a Coalition doctor on this site. These photos are after 4 days from a shave. And beard grafts in the scar 3 years ago.
  16. He definitely didn't ask or mentioned anything about this website. He strictly talks about the work to be done and no small talk about anything else. Which is fine because I'm not there to make friends. If you look at my history I have way more HT experience than you would imagine. This is my 5th procedure. One of my past coalition doctors left a big FUT scar and he put 5000 grafts in my crown and it was still very see-through and whispy. Lucky to have 50% growth in my opinion. The other FUE doctor, also in the coalition did 3 procedures in one day and it felt rushed. Results were so-so. I like the way Dr. Longwiat did the procedure and runs the clinic. My actual first procedure was performed by a doctor not even on this site(Dr. Pong) and I had amazing results and pencil-thin scar. Dr. Path, Dr. Pong, and Dr. Longwiat have all trained together. All from from Thailand. But results are what matter and I can't contest to that yet. But I am confident it will turn out well like the others on this site And the countless before and afters on his website. With that said, I do think yours looks a little thin and all doctors don't bat 100%. Could be something with your physiology or hair characteristics as well. It's reassuring he was willing to stand behind his work and help you add more grafts since growth wasn't optimal. My only advice is if you don't want to go back to Dr. L, maybe try Dr. Ergodan in Turkey. He is around the same price and his results speak for themselves. Good Luck to you.
  17. 90 Baht per graft(currently 2.75$). Includes PRP and all meds. Great thing you can enjoy all the delicious Thai food around for 2-3$ a meal, plus cheaper hotels. I'm making a vacation of it.
  18. Just wanted to add as a hair transplant veteran, that this was a great recommendation. Just finished my FUE surgery with him and the work is clean and detailed. The doctor does only one patient a day and doesn't have a factory line like some other clinics. He is very detailed and meticulous in his work. Also performs all of the procedure with the help of his assistants. Also, the aftercare reading material is detailed and easy to follow. PRP added is a nice touch as well. Can't wait to see my results in a year.
  19. Great result and thanks for your review. It was one that made me choose Dr. Kongkiat. I had a great experience and he is very meticulous and performs most of all the procedure. The after work is cleaner than any of my other surgeries. Hope to get a result like you, Cheers to your new hair,
  20. I just had an FUE procedure with this doctor and I found him highly professional and meticulous. He only performs one procedure a day and is in the operating room almost the entire time. He is not very talkative but I don't find that to be an issue. I don't know what the results will be, bought the work looks cleaner than any of the other procedures I've had. I can understand your concern about the chatty assistants. When the doctor is in the room, they are dead silent and only whisper at times to each other. When the doctor leaves, they are talking and having a laugh. Thai women are very light-hearted and love to joke so they do it a lot. I understand they are probably bored senseless doing the same repetitive task all day every day. I also don't like it. But the doctor was only out of the room for like 20 minutes total of the whole procedure. He was the most hands-on hair transplant I've had. I will be making my own thread with photos and review. Hope your hair turned out well. Cheers.
  21. Hope no American has an upcoming trip to Turkey for a hair transplant. There is some political problems and both embassies are stopping VISA's. I'm sure they will work things out soon but this goes into effect immediately.
