  1. First of all, you have made the most impressive progress from where you started. Congrats because it’s only going to get better and better. You don’t necessarily have to shave your entire head to get smp performed unless you just want to. Most places will fill in those weak areas without shaving. There are a lot of examples on the forum but you really have to do some digging. Check out Ahead Ink on Instagram. They have a ton of examples of guys who didn’t shave their heads. Also, maybe I missed it and you said it but I would wait until your hair fully matures before pursuing smp. I would want to know what my coverage looks like at fruition before filling in any gaps-again, you may have mentioned it and I’m talking out of my a$$. My apologies, if so. On the opposite side of not having to necessarily shave your head, I also agree as others do that you would look great if you shaved your head at this point. You might look like a guy with some diffuse loss but your current coverage should really make a difference from where you started. You were a pretty bald guy Pre-HT so you’ve already seen the worst that it could ever be. It’s all uphill from here. Congrats! I look forward to following this to the end.
  2. Really Nice!! Drastic change and very natural. I would never guess that this was a hair transplant. Patient must be over the moon.
  3. It’s a really nice wall of hair but I can spot the multis front and to the right (Patient’s left) and in the right facing profile. I would be uncomfortable exposing my hairline with those front and center, however, it’s a really nice change overall. Patient might be happy but I would seek correction.
  4. Man, that is awesome for such a low graft count! How old is the patient?
  5. Dr. Nader continues to wave his magic wand. Congratulations! This was a fun, well documented journey.
  6. I think it look fantastic. FANTASTIC! Holy $h*t, bro, for only 6 months?? You still have months and months for this to continue to grow and mature. You’re not done yet but early congrats are most definitely in order.🔥👌🏻
  7. Man this looks SO good!! Temples frame your face perfectly. Everything is looking so thick. Your crown is really coming in. This is just tremendous. I’m so happy for you.
  8. With all due respect to Dr. Dorin, he’s been in the business longer than anyone has been on this forum, but make sure with yourself that you really do want to have a strip. I don’t think it’s a mistake, necessarily, but you won’t have the option to cut your hair short if that’s your desired hairstyle. You will have to keep it longer. Unless you’re totally set on going with him it may be beneficial to consult with multiple doctors to get as wide an array of opinions as possible. Other doctors may feel that you don’t need a strip to move forward with your goals.
  9. Congrats on your repair! Dr. Bicer is extremely esteemed here and the work looks incredible!! You chose an excellent doctor for your repair. I’ll definitely be following along with you. Did you talk to the doctor about the amount of grafts removed previously from the strip. Looking at the picture of your recipient design with your head shaved it definitely doesn’t look like 2500 were taken-not that that matters now. In the photo of your donor just below your strip there are some dots that look like some FUE had been taken previously. Unless I missed where you said that in your previous post.. Again, it really doesn’t matter at this point. I was just wondering about it. Onwards and upwards. Looking forward to your updates. Happy growing!
  10. Excellent use of naturally existing hair to blend in with the transplanted hair. Extremely natural looking. Congrats!
  11. Agree with Melvin here, thanks for such a detailed write up! Congrats on the procedure. The work looks totally pristine. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Not that it matters now but you totally rock that shaved head! Looking forward to following your journey.
  12. I think the work is incredible from where he started! He was totally bald before!! I would also love to see some immediate post-op pics!
  13. I second an update although at 8 months this looked really solid.
  14. I second every single thing Melvin said. I think your temples will look extremely natural once you soften that hairline and add some density. Once you hit that scar with a few hundred grafts you’ll never give it a second thought! I hope you update us with that touch up!
  15. Hey, my apologies but I missed this question. Hop on Google and just type in something like, “best reviewed laser caps for hair regrowth”. Or something along those lines. Move on down past all the sponsored links. There are a lot of great options to choose from. All of the reviews go over pros and cons and they’ll link you to the best place to get them at the best cost. Good luck!
  16. Bro, this is awesome for 2 months!! I would reach out to the clinic to get their thoughts on whether or not they recommend trimming it. Each clinic is different and has their own instructions. Some clinics don’t have a problem with it at all and some don’t recommend trimming it until 6 months. Always follow your clinic’s post-op instructions, though. 👆🏻This is the way. Trust the process and just let your body do it’s thing. You’re off to a really great start!
  17. I had really bad pimples, too. They were the most obnoxious part about the hair transplant. It looks like you already have some growth, man!! Honestly, this is looking really solid for 2 months! Hows your donor looking and feeling?
  18. 👆🏻I agree with this. I believe the situation will improve. I think it’s just an unfortunate part of the ugly duckling stage.
  19. I’ve heard the same from others. I’ve never seen it with my own eyes other than in pictures that posters on the forum have shared. My only thought on it is that the back of your head has experienced a pretty large trauma and that maybe there’s some hair that was potentially going to shed soon but the trauma caused it to shed early-I could be wrong, though, it could be something else completely. Maybe the hair in your donor experienced the same kind of shock that the hair around where the strip was taken experienced? I don’t wanna say that yours would be worse with having so many grafts pulled at once because I think it’s more dependent on how the individual heals and deals with the trauma. I can say that those posters all said that they felt it got better within about the same time that their shocked our hair came back in. Someone once said to another poster that maybe it was always like that and that they just really hadn’t noticed before because they weren’t paying as close attention as they were before the strip was taken out-I don’t know if I buy that, however, because I was really looking at my donor before that strip was taken out. I don’t know what your medication situation is like but I’ve heard a number of doctors say that Fin will help to speed up the process of those hairs coming back.
  20. It should fill in a little more. The hair around the scar shocks out due to the trauma at the scar but typically comes back. Considering you’re a little over a month in the process you still have a little time for this process to resolve. I had a strip performed in 2019 and if I had cut my hair to your length at a little over a month this is exactly what it would have looked like. I purposefully kept my hair longer during the process to conceal it while that hair around the scar grew back. I cut my hair pretty short at months 3, 5, and 7 documenting the way the hair back their concealed the scar. Note the slight scar visibility at 3 months:It was enough to make me uncomfortable but if anyone noticed, they didn’t ask about it. At month 5 it had mostly resolved with a slight indentation in the hair where the scar is:By month 7 that indentation was even less, if noticeable at all. It had resolved by month 6 but I didn’t take pictures of it. This is what it looked like at month 7:I cut my hair down to an inch in these photos to document the process, however, I’ve cut my hair down to a 5 with my clippers in the years since and it wasn’t noticeable. So, in my opinion, having experienced it firsthand and having read other poster’s experiences on the forum, unless you do something to cause the strip scar to widen in the first 6 months, this will resolve itself. I guess it really depends on how long you liked to wear your hair (in regard to how much you’ll worry about it later on) but I have always worn my hair longer anyway. I’m not a guy that has ever really worn a fade. Even still, I plan on having a small FUE later down the line to put in the scar to conceal it even more. It sucks now with it being so visible but it’s still so early and there are some guys on here that can get away with with it being clipped down to a 3 or 4. For me, with my hair cut down to a 5, it’s a total non-issue.
