  1. It looks like many grafts didn't take. I would have expected a much better result from almost 2000 grafts in such a small area. Also, for a small case like this, I would have opted for FUE. I would love to have this patient's hair loss pattern.
  2. How are things coming along? Any photos to share? Thanks!
  3. Hi Fullness, How is everything going? Could you update us with some new photos please?
  4. I can't believe that I missed this thread. It is an absolutely fantastic transformation. We have an identical hair loss pattern and the same hair color/skin tone. Would you describe your hair as medium-fine? Thanks for sharing. This gives me hope. You must be thrilled mate. BTW, I recommend style #2.
  5. I am not a medical professional so I do not want to comment or speculate. Did the doctor mention anything specific as to what the dark spot/bruises may be? Who was your doctor? If I were in your shoes, I would seek out a dermatologist immediately.
  6. There are always exceptions and some people do thin naturally in the crown while maintaining a NW 2 hairline, however, this is very rare. I think hair restoration is at a point where it should look 100% natural. Unfortunately, most people just don't have enough density in their donor area to treat a thinning crown at a high density. But some patients do. I am very selective about who I would choose to operate on my head. I advise you to consult with at least 3 doctors in person. In my opinion, you need to find a doctor who is ethical, artistic (hairline design) and extremely skilled. Price should be the last thing on your mind! For FUE, I like Dr. Mwamba, Dr. Bisanga, and Dr Lorenzo. The choice is of course yours, but all doctors are not at the same level. Finally, I wouldn't worry about naturalness. If you choose an excellent doctor, this should be a non-issue. Most people would never be able to notice anything. What is your NW level? How old are you? Cheers!
  7. The major give away for me is the hair loss pattern. A lot of people have around 3000 grafts placed in the frontal area (to frame the face), and leave the mid scalp and crown completely naked. This is an unnatural pattern and I can spot it from a mile away.
  8. I agree with the comment above. It's better to have a reputable and honest doctor check out your donor density, as pictures can be very deceiving and you are wearing your hair quite short in the back. It appears as if though you have quite fine hair; this coupled with the light, may make your hair appear as thinner than it actually is. Have a top recommended doctor evaluate your donor density.
  9. I don't understand why such a small amount of grafts were transplanted in the first place. The major benefit of having FUT is that it allows you to get more lifetime grafts. So why in the world would the doctor only do around 2000 grafts in one session via FUT on a NW6 patient? The patient clearly has a lot of real-estate to cover, and the honest/most effective approach should have been to get as many grafts as possible without compromising yield. This is also a lot of money for just 2000 grafts. Now the patient is out of lots of money, has a FUT scar and poor yield. One can argue that the patient has a lot of real-estate to cover, but that brings me back to my first question: Why did the doctor agree to do so few grafts on a NW6 patient? Wait 12 months, grow your hair out (although I doubt it will make much of a difference). Then, if nothing has changed, ask for a full refund. Good luck!
  10. I have been doing research for over a year, and I don't feel ready to have a HT. If I were you, I would take my time and really research my options. If your iPhone 6 breaks, it is easy to to place. However, you only have so much donor, so choose wisely.
  11. I am very sorry to hear about this. I do believe that you are entitled to a full refund and I do hope that the moderators will get in contact with the clinic in order to reach a conclusion. What is your donor density like? Out of curiosity, Are you a smoker?
  12. I actually like this result. Keep in mind that no one looks at your head from above. Secondly, he has pale skin and dark hair, so the hair line may come across as less thick (I don't think it looks pluggy). Thirdly, his crown was dipping, and the crown appeared to be opening up before that hair transplant. This means that without medication, he could very well become a NW6. Finally, as a Norwood 6, I would be delighted with this result. He went from being entirely bald to having an illusion of coverage. So what if his crown appears to be thinning. People don't consider you to be bald if you have hair on top! Imo, great result. Thanks for sharing. FYI, I think the meds played an important role here.
  13. Welcome to the forum, If I were you, I would consult with a few of the best FUE surgeons, including Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Feriduni, and of course Dr. Lorenzo. Best of luck to you.
  14. I would take the train over to Belgium and consult with Feriduni or Bisanga if I were you. Best of luck!
  15. I think his hairline looks very nice and age appropriate. What Norwood level was he categorized as? Also, how many cm2 were filled in in total? How many follicular units per cm2 would you say this patient now has on top? Great job!
