  1. Ok, thanks. But yup, 2000 max I think the issues here are not what possibly could be achieved by the next procedure, but as it has to be planted into relatively dense areas partly, that no native hair gets shocklost at any cost, and also that enough donor capacity remains for future work. I hope you don`t mind I ask Mickey for his opinion.
  2. Hmm judging by your pictures (am I in the right thread? Your temples lack density and it needs to be yielded at both sites about 10 x 2 cm each side, or even less?), I really would stay with my estimation, but maybe others could give their opinion on this, too..
  3. Great work and presentation. Challenging, as much had to be placed in between existing hair, though no shockloss at all. Beautiful, natural hairline, patient must be happy!
  4. Hey all you Pong patients, it`d be great if you could share your progress and results with the community So far I`ve not seen a single result, but a few happy reports. EDIT: The results on his homepage mostly are ok, but some look awkward and really bad imo.. On multiple before and after pics, the hairstyling misleads the uneducated observer. Good lighting though, large gallery, and honest pictures in general, which I give him credit for. He seems to be an "ok-doctor", being able to produce quite solid results from time to time. His newer results are better, but mostly still can`t compete with even average results from most recommended docs. FUT scars look outlandish partly and seem to destroy the natural flow of the the donor (wow, I`ve even seen a zig-zag patterned scar. Pretty entertaining). He`s definitely not a doctor I would warn people to go to, but there are many better options in the area.
  5. Hey Bonker Just saw you had another OP with Dr. Wong in january. Any updates on that on your website soon maybe?
  6. Nowsthetime9, Erdogan in general is a good choice, and so is Demirsoy, but sheesh - 3500 grafts is way too much for your next procedure. About 800 - 1200 would be a conservative approach, considering future hairloss in the most ethical way. 1500 should be enough, and 2000 the upper limit imo. Otherwise you would have used about 5000 grafts for your hairline and small areas at the sides only. Not too much donor left, then, I would say. Regarding the ARTAS, I don`t understand. Has it one single benefit then, if the punch size is either to big, thus problems with the donor punches, or too small, thus problems with graft survival? (It`s most obvious that this is the case, but can`t be written like this on here). And then two days for a procedure of 1300 grafts, for instance? I am sure SMG is as cautious and ethical as it gets, so has very good reasons to do this, hence this seems to be an all time issue with ARTAS. How much do these machines even cost? Sounds like a pretty big fail to me (as expected btw, and I`m the last one to be conservative or against technical progress)...
  7. For anybody interested http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171016-1550-fue-smg-artas.html I totally understand wanting to talk to someone in private who is in a similar situation, thanks for sharing your experiences anyway
  8. I agree with shacked (and haircut in your other thread). We would need before pictures in order to evaluate anything. What I am interested in: Why do you write: Less than 33 %?? You mean like "a third"; rough estimation, by that, or did you document each graft in order to calculate the yield later?
  9. Wow, there is so much wrong here. At first, all that matters is what kind of expectations he gave you before the surgery, as this is in a timeline where you are forming your decision to get in contract with him, or not. At the surgery it would be to late for the doc to contradict or modify any statements he had made during that previous process. You may also have been under influence of any narcotic or psychotropic substances. But I think you might not have gotten the gist of my former post: It is essential that you now do a really thorough research before even contacting another surgeon, unless it is somebody recommended on here. Again: One of the LAST (!!!) factors here should be the proximity of the clinic (!!!!!). There is nothing like "the list of good doctors in Hyderabad". We have three doctors recommended on here in India: Dr. Radha (FUT), in Visakhapatnam, Dr. Madhu (FUT), in Hyderabad, and Dr. Bhatti (FUE, BHT) in Chandigarh. Now before contacting Dr. Madhu, I`d suggest that you do your research on the difference between FUT and FUE first. In most cases, only a knowledgable and self-reliant patient is a happy patient. A member has written a summary on what he feels are the pros and cons of the two methods of extraction: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169499-pros-cons-fue-myths-dispelled.html#post2337385 I for example am from Germany, and I could have chosen the doc around the corner. Still I did my research over months and years and ended up getting my HT in India with Dr. Bhatti. He provided quality work along with unbeatable prices, so it was definitely worth the travel time. In case you decided for FUE, don`t necessarily go with Dr. Bhatti, but check out other surgeons on here, too. Sir, again, this is a life-altering decision, and you should consider many more factors than the location of your clinic. That said, all three surgeons in India seem to provide quality work and have high standards of ethics. But get yourself informed about FUE vs. FUT at first. Good luck
  10. Wow, you indeed have a very thoughtful diet, you guys in the US are advanced to us europeans, at least in this field As to the non transplanted areas growing faster than the transplanted ones: I can still observe this phenomenon now after 17 months, but the discrepancy in growth time is decreasing more and more. So I guess at your stage it is very common.
  11. Wow I like this, nice and wise approach! Great documentation, and vast improvement, he must be so happy, and he also looks like he is - good tan, fresh glasses, very age-appropriate hairline; he looks like a new man, and I can see the glow in his eyes Actually I think this hairline is the perfect one for him, suits him very well, looks neat.
  12. I would quit the shit, there is no long term study on the side effects and its potential side effects anyway are never worth the potential benefits, but that`s just my opinion
  13. Looks good! Definitely a further improvement. Crown growth usually takes a little longer, and the area at the left side of your middle scalp may have suffered under trauma and just needs/needed to regenerate longer, so the growth you`ve seen in other areas until now may kick in in the upcoming two months. You indeed are a super-slow grower man I don`t know what supplements you are taking currently, but if I were you I`d take a good multivitamin, biotin 2 x 5 mg daily, MSM (!), Vitamin B complex high dosage, and eat a lot of chicken or take protein shakes. Lots of vegetables, and as few sugar and red meat as you can live happily with By this and a few other things (2 x 160 mg saw palmetto/d for instance), I stopped my hairloss for more than 3 years now. So not saying it`ll stop it for each and everyone, or even bring significant changes, but together with all the other benefits of the substances and given a fair price, it`s definitely worth a try imo.
  14. Great idea in any case, would be awesome. Lots of work to do, but wow, really that would be awesome
  15. Thanks for sharing. Good choice with Bhatti. I had a procedure with him myself, but I think our NW pattern is not comparable. He imo is however the right surgeon especially for you, as it looks like you`re going to be a NW 6 at least, I would rather say NW 7. Bhatti specialises on BHT, which you surely will need, and lots of it, if you want a satisfying coverage. You seem to have a rather big head, and it all needs to get covered with grafts out of a significantly smaller area than with most patients, considering future loss up to NW7. Thus large recipient site, small donor site - BHT definitely has to take place sooner or later. A challenging case indeed for every surgeon, but I`m sure with Bhatti you made the right choice. As you are one of the patients who may profit from the exhaustion of every possible donor capacities, you can also consider FUT in the future. Make sure to do scalp laxity training then in order to get the max out there. But for now I wish you all the best for your procedure, all will come out just great, I am sure! Greetings from Germany!
  16. In general you should be cautious if the clinic hasn`t a vast amount of results and patients reports online. You can contact the clinic and request properly documented results via Email. If they don`t provide you with, or if they`re not sufficient in quantity, and/or above average to excellent in quality, why wasting more time with them? I`d suggest you take a couple of days/evenings/nights to read through the forum, to get the basics of HT. Mickey85, the most dedicated member here (beside the mods of course ) actually has written some threads in which he tries to sum up the most important. Search for any post of him, the threads are linked in his signature. Good luck
  17. Ahhh, lol, in this sense. I messed up my head trying to figure out what you might mean, but didn`t think about the pictures (facepalm actually)
  18. Wouldn`t go, actually one of the clinics I`d strongly warn you to go. Surgeon operating is Tayfun Oguzoglu. Guess they are also affiliated with the dubious Beautytravels24. Regarding this Oguzoglu figure, we had strong issues on the german forum alopezie.de with highly unethical advertisement, fake accounts, totally misleading or stolen pictures etc. Pretty heavy stuff actually.. I`ve seen patients totally destroyed, the whole donor wasted, no chance for a satisfying repair. Why even wasting thoughts on this clinic when there really are very good surgeons with comparable prices, ethical behaviour, lots of great, own results presented in a proper manner, and patient reports and contacts available. In Turkey, for instance: Keser, Beyhan, Demirsoy, Doganay, Erdogan, Eser (and maybe a few others).
  19. Nothing against Rahal, but if I had the money, I`d definitely choose Konior. Rahal is top notch, too, of course, but Konior is a true artist, and I think he takes an approach with lesser grafts for even better results, and a more natural hairline than Rahal. He in general seems to be more dedicated to the patient rather than money (again: not to discredit Rahal, but I always thought beside Lorenzo, Konior might be the surgeon who is most "obsessive" with a natural look and the patients long-term wellbeing).
  20. Hi, had a quick look at his homepage, and if I were you, I wouldn`t go. The few results presented are average at best. Why "at best"? Because the footage is taken under bad light conditions (why??) and only from one angle (why????), the front angle, where even poor results can give the impression to be excellent. Hmmm... Plus there are countless things that would raise my concern written on the site regarding technique, specialization, and even more in the sub- and context of the presentation. I personally can`t comprehend why one would take such a risk when it comes to such a vastly defining and life-determining surgery without even having seen that the doctor at least in a few cases is able to produce at least average results. Plus I guess he`s not even cheaper than Dr. Bhatti or Dr. Demirsoy.
  21. Wow, great result at only 7 months! Lots of grafts used, however. Did Dr. Rahal tell you how many you have left now for future procedures? Will your laxity allow another FUT, or do you have to stick with FUE? Anyway, now it`s actually time to celebrate. Congrats
  22. Lol, I know that feeling Looks incredible, and for only 6 months - wow. Will definitely follow this thread. Greetings!
  23. Hi Meshak. That doesn`t sound very good. However for a useful feedback I`d suggest that you open an own thread and provide a more detailed write-up along with before and after pictures. You may also contact your surgeon and see what he has to say (or did I understand it correctly that he even denied you any more contact???) Btw the proximity of a surgeon should be one of the last factors to consider when it comes to HT.
