  1. Lol, you may be right of course. Damn what a waste of time
  2. As said in two other threads, I`m leaving this site. Have fun everybody
  3. As said in the Dr. Dua recommendation thread, I`m leaving this site. Thus, I will not comment on this thread anymore, but I will have a look on how things develop. All the best to you all, especially the OP, I hope you get what you deserve, and I hope the doc will as well. Bye
  4. Just a quick reminder that the combo approach is only a tiny tiny part of this...
  5. http://img3.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/postopfromto52hwtgxi13.jpg Each color field represents 100 grafts. As the picture quality is not the best, I was very generous in my interpretation: Oftentimes, I made dots when there was the slightest interpretational possibility; when there were blood spots, I took the highest amount of grafts possible in such an area, even though it would exceed the normal and average placing density and pattern. Especially in the middle hairline area marked in green and yellow, I rather made wildly generous assumptions. If I would have only marked the grafts identifiable as such, the areas may as well have almost double size (in tendency, this would apply to the other areas as well). What most probably are just freckles, I counted as grafts (please have a look at the patients forehead and his general skin structure). In the middle front area, the picture quality is too bad as to count the grafts, and the sight gets blocked by hairs, so one could only make assumptions in the area imo. But even if assuming the same density as in the hairline zone, and even assuming some grafts I overlooked at the temples, under hair and so on, after extrapolating, it`s hard to reach the claimed number of nearly 3 k. To me, realistically, it`s rather 1700 - 2000. Again, I was very generous, please compare the photoshopped pic with the original one. This is not to attack Dr. Arocha, he imo is one of the most credible and likable docs, so I`d welcome any feedback as to why this just doesn`t look like 3 k.
  6. That`s the crucial point here. People can write whole books on here talking things to death, but it doesn`t change this simple fact.
  7. It`s an open, global market which is constantly developing, modifying and diversifying, so no worries here. Principle of demand and supply at last..
  8. @Cryingoutloud: Heyhey, please remain polite, or at least not unnecessarily insulting (I don`t know you such ) But true, at 3 months your transplants all are still in telogen stage, "nmshams", just be patient and wait until at least month 7 before you start to worry about the outcome of your HT. Dr. Radha should have briefed you about this, and it would as well have been a matter of minutes to find it out for yourself doing only a quick Google search.. All the best to you
  9. Hi, to me you partly are still speaking in riddles, but it also seems your last post is some kind of conciliation? It`s just very hard to be accused to be as someone dishonest, it`s actually a pretty hard insult for me, because all my life I try to be the exact opposite.. Funny that you`re mentioning Coke, as I not too long ago tried to taste the drink just like it is, mentally turning off all the exciting associations my mind got programmed with, just my senses and me - and guess what, it tasted like pure garbage lol I learned a lot from that only Regarding your question if I commented against bogus and money-led anti-FUE rants: I`m a reader on here (and some other boards) since early 2013, and active since early summer the same year. Spex is not active a long time it seems, and I came at the time guys like Mickey did a hell of a job in setting things straight regarding FUE, while I still had to orientate myself in the whole field. I do remember, though, to have yet taken a substantiated stand in favor of FUE (you can search in my posts if you got the time and nerves ) Anyway I always actually took a stand against unnecessary FUT, and unnecessary it is in most cases imo. I furthermore collected knowledge and experience on here in order to share it at the biggest german board, which was and still is behind in many regards. I was the one to set things straight regarding FUE vs. FUT there, and also made efforts so people can get a more sophisticated view in regards to motorized vs. manual punches. Things really have developed imo, nowadays nobody would make some ridiculous statements which have been made in the past to slam FUE... But if I`d read them now, of course I would intervene and take a stand. I hope it`s alright now, I really didn`t intend to undermine any useful discussion, just wanted to emphasize that advantages and disadvantages could be known by now.. Greetings.
  10. All the best to you seeker, let`s just wait another few months, hopefully things will develop.. And thanks also Dr. Karadeniz, I always appreciate your valuable, straight and honest input on this site
  11. [quote name=JoeTillman;2415568 [bTo answer your specific question' date=' what happens when a wound is left open[/b], the area will heal fine as long as it is kept clean. Skin and scar tissue will fill the wound over the course of a few weeks and eventually, yes, the subsequent scar tissue can be removed via scar revision. Once it heals the appearance will be much less dramatic than it is now. You'll need to start loosening your scalp with stretching exercises at around the six to eight months mark depending on what your doctor recommends. I've seen this before and while it is not what you were expecting it can still turn out for the better in the long run. Just seen this. Just wow
  12. Well I hope it`s a mixture of both, at least in some cases I dunno, I`m still young and at the start of my career, but I can imagine that at some point, I only strive to improve in my field rather than hoarding money (money can`t buy happiness), and if being in a business where the wellbeing and happiness of (sometimes maybe even likable ) human beings depend on my job skills, well I guess I`d knew how to make the best of both goals. They don`t have to conflict with each other, but moreover can and should go hand in hand. Idealistic principle of capitalism btw Peace to all
  13. Hmm, considering you grew your hair out for the 6,5 months pictures, it really is not too much growth, but I agree that you may be a slow grower, so I`d just wait another 3 months until judging. For now sit back and relax Obviously you can contact your clinic by now, but I bet they`d just tell you to wait Thanks for sharing and all the best!
  14. Thank you David, it`s highly appreciated. This is not my case (fortunately), but I just feel alienated by this case. This should not happen on here. I would feel angry if someone came on here and would tell this story and show these pics telling he fell victim to some butcher in central China.. But I don`t expect it from a recommended surgeon. This forum and the quality of its surgeons, the whole concept, used to mean something to me.. It seems I am not the only one, so I`m glad I`m not alone here trying to tilt at windmills.. Everybody is striving towards perfection these days, and this used to be the standard of this page anyway. Faults can be made, but proving to be unqualified in all aspects for even minimum, not forum-required standards is not a fault, it`s just complete failure.
  15. This is getting more and more crazy: He only cutted halfway your scalp, not centralising the middle of the scar with axiall symmetry of your head. This is just crazy, as it will logically result in a completely unnecessary displacement of the common hair direction at the back of your head. A child would be able to recognize this This surgeon didn`t... Potential future FUT procedures would require to consider and correct this lunacy when cutting your head open a second time, and due to the fault being done already, it would even be needed to cut your head open another time in order to correct the displacement. Plus the scar looks uneven horizontally as well, but that doesn`t even carry weight considering all the other faults.. Please excuse my harsh words, but I don`t even know what to say anymore, this is just very concerning to see from a recommended doc on here. I really don`t know what to say. A full refund is not everything I would expect and demand as a patient, I would be straight heading for a lawyer in this. I also don`t understand why the moderators didn`t respond to this in the meantime. (EDIT: A mod actually did while I was writing..) The doc made every single fault one could even make. Whatever his name is, he as a surgeon is not worth a recommendation from anyone, let alone this reputable community. He will "go over the pictures". Lmao! That`s part of his job anyway, and if he would have done at least that bit, he could never have denied your statement that even way too few grafts got placed in the first place, while cheating you out of money, be it due to complete administrative and personal failure or consciously. And afterwards by denying it while you insisted on the graft count you had from the very clear pictures, he also accused you of being a liar, which is just an absolute effrontery! That`s what I mean by doing EVERYTHING wrong. Absolutely, total ethical and surgical fail in all matters! He really achieved to do everything wrong, from beginning to end. Great success! I really feel with you, I`m angry myself even, and hope you get what you deserve in this. This imo is not even a case to discuss. I mean, what`s to discuss? Yield rate would be something to discuss, and the surgeon could say, "well, it was the patients own physiology bla bla". But here?? It`s not that the procedure was just not successful as in all the other cases. If needed, I am glad to sum up all the inexcusable misconducts in this case. I hope also moderators and other members are able to see this. If not, again, I`m glad to sum it up. Just too many absolute no-gos for ANY surgeon, recommended or not...
  16. Oh gosh. Excuse me? I don`t want to break the netiquette, so I better not comment on that. Just that it`s pretty amusing... I`m from Munich actually.. Have a good day, Alice
  17. I get your point I guess. What I intended to say however is that the issue got discussed exhaustively in numerous threads over the past years. And it really got discussed exhaustively... I also tried to sum up the most prominent arguments. Furthermore, did I take a one-sided or biased point of view (then please tell me in which way), or do you even think that I`m a rep (??? for whom, and how would my post be in favor of any doc?). I don`t wanna block any discussion (why would I), but I am somehow allergic to this topic being brought up again and again and again as if it would be something totally new.. I just don`t see any new arguments.. So that`s why I said that you guys have fun, it was just a lil sarcasm from my side, I thought I`m not the only one maybe.... But I am the first to welcome any patient being prevented from being unnessessarily FUT-butchered (sorry for the term). Still there are cases where FUT is not totally bogus. And in the end it`s up to the patient to inform him/herself and make an educated decision. All the information is available in meanwhile dozens of threads. This is just another one. That`s all I tried to say.. In no way did I intend to undermine any fruitful and useful discussion. If only one patient makes the better choice based on the study of this thread, we win. We can embellish another thread with all the arguments.. So in this sense my comment maybe was "wrong", but it wasn`t my intent.. I get your point, hopefully you got mine.. Greetz
  18. Oh hello Dr. Bhatti! It`s me, "Mr. Moritz" Thanks for the answer Cool to meet you on here Off topic, but I just wanted to say I got your Email, sorry for not responding, but I wanted to send pics with it and I didn`t make any so far.. Thanks I`m doing fine, all good, I`ll send you some recent pics after my next haircutter visit Many greetings!
  19. Well then you can prove it, and from the physicians side there actually is no point in denying it.. I even have no words.. Just wow! This deserves attention. I wonder how this gets ressolved. I expect clarification on all this, and after this conduct, I don`t see how the physician could remain recommended/coalition doc, even (or in fact especially) if it`s about so much money to be on here... There are just so many things that are wrong in this case!
  20. I`m an advocate for FUE in most cases, but FUT still has its place in hair transplant approaches imo, especially in female cases.. Apart from that, in some cases only a combo provides the necessary amount to get the perfect result. In these (rare) cases one has to do strip and harvest via FUE until the point the scar isn`t visible. So for example in your case, as long as the scalp is not shown due to FUE over-harvesting in the donor zone, you could still do a strip procedure in order to add more density in the recipient area. Still I see the huge disadvantages of FUT that for example scar has mentioned. In the end it`s up to each patient to decide. I personally wouldn`t wanna have a scar over my whole backhead, even if it`s thin, it`s just that psychological effect.. Uuuughh But some people appearently don`t have an issue with it.. I congratulate on your procedure, it`s looking awesome and perfectly showcases the potential of FUE-only in high NW cases, and you are right to a far extent, but imho we don`t need another FUE vs. FUT debate. At least I don`t lol You guys have fun
  21. Hmm.. I ain`t got the time for that, but considering the question how many grafts got placed, I guess you could simply count them based on the immediate after op picture(s). Just print a picture out and make a dot with a permanent marker/an edding or whatever on each graft, or do it in Photoshop or such.. Then you know, you know I`m curious what other members and foremost the surgeon have to say in regards to this case in general..
  22. Do you know how many grafts he extracted via the strip, and how many via FUE?
  23. What a difference! Transplanted zones looking great! Pretty challenging case with all the miniaturised hairs, large area to cover.. Awesome yield rate it seems May I ask how many grafts the patient got for the touch up, and how many he has left for (potential) future procedures?
  24. Agreed. I`d like the physician to elaborate on the approach only
