  1. KO, deReys doesnt produce good results anymore, to say it carefully. Every single result on the german forum (where he had a great reputation back in the days) comes out subpar, or even a total failure. He also doesn?t seem to improve and resolve issues he had yet when being able to present good results, like for example many patients note that the injections are very painful. Now that?s a minor issue, what counts is the result in the end, but again these seem to be subpar, too, judging from the information available in the last two years. That said, I wouldn?t dismiss him totally, his patients all emphasize the special and personal atmosphere. He set up the clinic in a part of his house, and operates with his wife (a nurse I believe). The stay appears to be pleasant and very likable. If he manages to present more good results in the future, he is definitely to be considered imo.
  2. Awesome work. Such a large area to cover with that amount of grafts; now the outcome couldnt be any better. Perfect yield! Also love the hairline design.
  3. Thanks mate, you?re right. My transplant, looking back now, has been an equally "borderline" type of enterprise. I did portray my characteristics and my family hair loss history in my thread, and to a certain degree, it`s been a gamble, too. It seems I walk out fine, now, and each case obviously is different. The approach I took however caused me to look at it again from a new angle, and I realized how much of an important decision it was, and how unconscious of that I`d been when forming my decision. So I kinda feel obliged to make others aware of the risks and imponderabilities one is exposed to in the process. And in this specific case, I see that maybe all that glitters by now is not gold. Don`t get me wrong, again, it`s outstanding work in a technical sense, and the patient surely is happy, and many are very impressed. Maybe you get my point, though. Cheers.
  4. The only two pictures of the end result lack informative value, other than showing a proper placement of the hairline. The result can?t be evaluated properly this way. Please add according pictures. Many thanks
  5. I can agree with disagreeing, but I am still not sure whether this was a wise approach. Again, imho there is no way getting 3000 more grafts out of that donor, rather 1500 - 2000 max, and this is referring to the current state, not considering future thinning in that area. If I imagine myself to be in the shoes of the patient, and looking at my donor, I?d personally be honestly dissatisfied. You can see through it already right now (!!), and it is not that he has got a buzzcut, but wears it as long as it can get with a "normal" short haircut. He`s only 26... And you know that with Fin, there are a lot of issues. It doesnt stop hair loss, it at best does slow it down to a considerable degree. Hair loss will occurr nonetheless. I am not talking of the next two years, but what will be when he`s in his thirties, fourties, and fifties... Look at his crown, and donor; you can see that he`s an upcoming NW 6. So far the effects and foremost side effects of Fin haven?t been evaluated for such a long term use, and already short term, there can be severe damage. I have seen numerous cases where patients that intially tolerated Fin had to quit it at some point later, even after years of appearent toleration with no detectable, assignable symptoms showing up. I don?t intend to start up a discussion about that, I just want to mention that the possibility of a necessity of a discontinuation of the medication at some point in his later life is not too far fetched. And even if that?ll be not the case, he IMO will not be able to yield satisfiable density with the remaining donor after future loss. I`m not in any way implying that he messed him up, I just wanted to express these points so everybody looking at this thread can reflect on it for potential own future procedures. The risk/benefit-ratio imo is at its limits in this case, nothing more, nothing less. I wouldn?t have done it being in the patients shoes, but every man is the architect of his own fortune. Maybe I am a coward, maybe I am just more free in my evaluation than the surgeon and more educated than the patient. Who knows. That said, the surgeon did an outstanding job in a technical sense, it?s a reference job imo in regards to diffuse thinning patients. The result looks awesome by now.
  6. I reported you, just so you know. And I am not the only one. When I first came here after a few months of absence, I found several posts of yours which offended other members, and you got repeatedly noticed of that. I initially was on your side, but after reviewing more of your outcome, I have to say that you should seriously consider to think about your general attitude towards, well, pretty much everything. Your demeanour on here in general is just not acceptable. Are you talking like this to people in real life, too? Or are you just a keyboard warrior having spent too much time on Youtube gang fight videos?
  7. I also did send a note in regards to "BUSA". As I never had a conversation with him myself, I actually didnt complain about the way he was speaking to me, but to other members on here. Just wanted to add that, so he doesnt suppose this would be all personal issues and aggrieved egos. Its just about displaying a minimum amount of respect towards others.
  8. It looks good for now, but what about in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years?? The donor seems nearly exhausted, one can already see through by now, so FUT will be impossible, considering even minor future thinning in the region (to which the patient seems predestined to). And harvesting 3000 from that?? Just not possible. It also looks like the patient has not the physics to possess a considerable amount of body grafts. So of course it looks good by now, but let`s consider that his hair got styled in the most presentable way, and still one can see that it?s not "full", almost see-through in areas, and it`ll look see-through again when he is not styled this way. It is not a very wise approach to act like this and not wait another few years, and take a more conservative approach. Not very wise to say it very carefully, VERY carefully. He will loose more hair in the upcoming years, and will come out much worse than he looked pre-op, as all existing hairs will be gone one day. And then what.
  9. I don?t know BUSA, but at least in this case he?s absolutely right. The topic FUE vs. FUT had been discussed more than exhaustively over the last years, and the gist of it supports the posters position. Ad hominem arguments and blatant and bold statements like "FUT is the least invasive method" won?t help anyone. Anyway this is not the thread to discuss abstract topics and fight kindergarden wars, but Transformers place to share and discuss his specific case.
  10. Looks good! Thanks for sharing, and it`s also good imo not to take Fin, it`s just not worth the risks..
  11. Please upload a picture on which your donor area is shown. We would need to know your age, also. But I can tell you now that 3000 grafts never will give you a satisfying result, let alone a natural one. You definitely need two procedures, one 3500-4500, better over two days, and then you hopefully have enough donor left to add density. Maybe via bodygrafts? In any case if I were you I would be as careful as possible with planning. You got only one donor
  12. A graft can contain between 1 and 5 hair follicles. The extraction work in FUE is the same, independently of the hair count, except if the surgeon chooses to change the extraction instrument, but this is very uncommon, and I doubt that Dr. Popescu does this. Thus it is not common to pay per hair, but per graft. The extracted grafts in average contain somewhat like 2,2 hairs. 7.000 hairs hence would equal 3181 grafts. The price per graft then is average, about 2 Euro. He does only present 3 grown cases on his page, though. They look ok, but hmmm.. If I were you, I would rather look into doing it in Turkey, or pay a little more and go with belgian docs. Your case it not easy, as you seem to have below average donor, but a huge area to cover. Plus, and that`s very important, you have a lot of miniaturization, hence the danger of shockloss is to be considered. You definitely need a wise long term plan. I`d suggest that you spend some more time researching, looking at results, comparing surgeons, and asking specific questions. All the best!
  13. Hi, welcome to the forum! Regarding your question; Did he recommend 6-7 k of "hairs", or "grafts"?
  14. I think he was confusing down- with uploading. Why would he, or Blake, have to download images from the internet? He should be in possession of his own images, shouldn`t he...
  15. Madhu Vanga, your profession doesn`t matter actually, nor does your income level, or if you like sipping champagne regularly. Yet in your first post, you emphasize your profession as an argumentum ab auctoritate, which is just very weak. What does that say? There are medical professionals that are simply butchers and have no ethics whatsoever, most doctors know less about hair transplants than half of the members on here. Here in Germany there are many surgeons who profess themselves not only being able to assess the quality of a transplant, but earn a fortune messing up clients every single day, for years, incapable of learning the most basics. So your title doesn`t matter one bit. It is most obvious that you are in some way affiliated to BSR, probably a personal friend, your posts just appear sneaky and like the worst advertisement one could possibly imagine. Just look at your headlines only: "Sugnakar Reddy - The Best and Genuine HT Surgeon" (btw why do you write "best", "genuine and "surgeon" capitalized? A little case sensitivity would suit your claims...) Sorry, but your whole appearance here doesn`t help BSR in any way, in contrary. It is kinda fun, `though, to read through phrases like "Three bullet points", "under promises but over delivers" etc. So thanks for that! And in favor of him, you point out that he answers his phone? Really? That said, please provide your own (!!) results, as this is the only way the quality of a surgeon can be evaluated. Surely not by advertisement slogans. And btw who are you to say Torips comment is not appreciable, he is a valuable member of this community, and his comments are most welcome.
  16. Ok At first, I didn`t refer to your posts specifically, but all the Rahal results posted since I became a member here. I may not have seen your two other posts, and I probably haven`t seen all Rahal results posted since my membership. Thus, it may well be a statistical phenomenon that I got this impression. And yes, all patient cases under 27 I would consider as "very young patients". In any case do I look forward to see a wider variety of NW types done by Dr. Rahal, as I consider him to be an excellent surgeon.
  17. Is it only me or do 90 % of the Rahal results presented on here depict similar cases - densepacking the hairline of very young patients? Everytime I see a Rahal result being presented in the thread menu, I say to myself: Let`s give it a last try, and then it`s the same again. I keep on making this mistake...
  18. Conejo! Ich stalke dich hehehe.. Lass den Kopf nicht h?ngen Greetz
  19. The before pictures are wet (in the treated area), the after pictures dry. WHY???? For almost 3.5 k grafts, this is what to expect at least. I am not impressed at all to be honest. EDIT: Oh, sorry, just seen this is only at six months. My bad, would be interesting to see the further development. For this stage it looks very good! Still I have to rest my case regarding the wet before op pictures
  20. I`m a dick, but in this case it was really just to know if the forum`s now bugged allover or what. Hehehe
  21. Sorry for the offtopic, just stumbled upon this thread: As the forum seems to have some serious issues with lagging and bugging, I wonder if it`s in this relation that nervousguys` first post is shown to have been made after his second one?? How can this be? Normally the posting time gets fixed, and potential editing times get shown below the signature. First post "08-07-2014, 12:04 AM" Second post "08-07-2014, 10:52 AM" Just to let the mods know, so Hans will know what kinda different issues there actually are. @nervousguy: No need to be nervous, swelling is most strong on second, third and fourth day. All good Happy growing!
