  1. 6 months is still early on in the process, and I think most people would probably tell you to wait until 12 months. How is your hair looking at 6 months, any pictures?
  2. I know Dr Feller is in London in May, the other 3 you have stated above, I am not sure when they are in London next, mail them and ask them if they are doing consultations. Otherwise, you will have to do online consultations.
  3. You cannot go wrong with any of the above Snowman.
  4. Well I hope you do get a great result. Put some pictures up in the future to show your progress.
  5. 1500 fut grafts performed by a top surgeon would give you a considerable improvement in the appearance of your hair. But being honest,I am not encouraged by the results shown on his website Ding Dong.
  6. I would go to Belgium and see Dr Devroye,Dr Feriduni or Dr Bisanga. Or.... go to USA/Canada.
  7. I just had a look. Who was the surgeon and when did you have it done?
  8. Dr Rahal is an excellent surgeon, would recommend him and one of the best there is but i do not agree he is the 'best at hairline surgery'. There is no surgeon who is completely superior to all in any area of hair transplantation.
  9. Hello Rob. Just looking at his website and my conclusion would be to definitely give him a miss.
  10. I definitely wouldn't use the Ailesbury clinic in Ireland. DEFINITELY NOT
  11. I do agree with you Richie. Yes, it does depend on who it's with. Imagine if he had a strip and Dr Hasson performed surgery on the front and Dr Wong performed surgery on the crown, lethal combination This was Fue and not strip. Hence, the doctors who do perform Fue do state that mega Fue sessions are more tiring, so that’s where I think more help may have been present to maintain the consistency throughout the whole operation. I am not sure how many Fue grafts he actually had. Every patient is important to any clinic but if a 'normal patient' has a bad result, a clinic can deal with that. Even the very best on here get them occasionally, but if a massive star publicly declared he was unhappy, this could have Armageddon consequences on a clinic who has not been established for years and years. Harley street hair clinic's inquiries have implicitly increased according to their website.
  12. Celebs are not a good source for hair transplant results at all, probably the complete opposite. Wayne Rooney would have had more surgeons and a larger team working on him than any other normal patient because of whom he is. The normal patient would not get the special care and attention a celeb would get, as it could make or break the clinic's business. And secondly, when someone has had a transplant, the only way you can see if it is a success is if you look up close and scrutinise and know if the person is being honest and sincere. There are not many people who are close friends with a famous celebrity. Jason Gardner and Wayne Rooney, as well as other celebs will have been wearing concealer. Jotronic said that all movie stars are told to put it on for films. Concealer makes MASSIVE difference to the appearance of a persons hair.
  13. I encourage other forum members to comment. I think you very unlikely to be a candidate for Fue by your pictures. Fue is better for smaller procedures. And with your level of baldness at your age, It is likely to get worse without propecia. Any surgery you do consider, you will most likely look worse afterwards if you do not use it. I am not a surgeon, but i would suggest having 5 online consultations with 5 good doctors listed from this forum.
  14. I find it hard to believe that anyone should have a bad word to say about Spex. If on the rare occasion that someone does, then they are clearly a moron.
  15. CGW. What is your current hair loss like? Do you have any pictures you can post?
  16. The best surgeons in Belgium are Dr Bisanga,Dr Devroye and Dr Feriduni.( 2 of them are on here ) I know there is Dr Muamba and ProHair in Belgium, but i personally don't know anything about them but there will be people on here who do. In England, Dr Farjo is recommended on here. The surgeons listed on here are all of a high caliber and have been visited and assessed by Pat the publisher if i am correct.
  17. It will not do any harm in keeping you in good shape. I was in the best shape i have ever been in my life on propecia 3 years ago, when i was going to do fitness modelling/natural bodybuilding, shredded, very low body fat of around 6 % and very muscular. You can see me on a video on the net somewhere if you don't believe me But don't rush into make a decision too quick. Once you start propecia, you need to stay on it as any benefits you gain from it, you will lose when you come of it. It is more useful in slowing down and stopping hairloss than regrowing hair but it does regrow hair in some cases. Just educate yourself more, until you can make a well rounded decision based on the facts.
  18. Dr Collins cannot warrant charging the prices he does. For him to warrant this, he would have to be superior to the rest of the competition there is elsewhere. And the answer is...he is not even in the same league as several others. You can see better surgeons than him in Belgium, USA and Canada for cheaper.
  19. You definitely need to consider start taking propecia Josh.
  20. LittleMink, I remember listening to Spencer Kobren who runs one of the other major forums( The Bald Truth) From memory, he stated that from 1500 registered surgeons in the USA, there was only about 50 who he regarded as reputable. Now that is just over 3%, that means that for every 100 surgeons there are, only 3 are good. And the UK is on par with that, if not worse. It isn't easy to get a reliable souce of information, as there are more conmen than experts, and i am deadly serious. The best person who you could go to for advice in the Uk is Spex, who lives in Nottingham. He is a hair loss veteren, who is present on the major hair transplant forums, and now a consultant for Dr Feller and Dr Lindsey. I and numerous other forum members from all the different forums have purchased his recent project 'Maximum Hair, Minimum loss' and everyone talks very highly of it. There is a list of very good surgeons on this website.
  21. Have you got any pictures of your current hair loss Littlemink? It is extremely unlikely to that Mr Zierring will perform your surgery as it appears that he is starting a big chain of hair transplant clinics. They generally don't have the patient's best interests at heart, charging higher prices per graft to compensate for the high cost advertising campaigns and several forum members have had surgery performed by these chains such as Bosley in the USA. They all end up having to have their hair repaired. And if i am correct, Mr Zierring used to work for Bosley. Jason Gardner, who you are referring to, uses concealer in his hair to give him the appearence of a fuller head of hair. This is a very misleading representation of the actual final result which he achieved, as with out his concealer, his hair would appear a lot thinner all over. I can guarantee that NONE of the regular forum members will have had a hair transplant from him in recent years and none of them will plan to either. If you are not prepared to travel outside Scotland, you are limiting yourself as the best surgeons reside in the USA, Canada and Belgium. The Uk has got a very poor reputation for hair transplant surgery and i am a victim of it unfortunately, as well as many other forum members on here. The best advice I could give would be to educate yourself before you end up wasting your money.
  22. I wouldn't have any doubts. Dr Feller is a pioneer in Fue,trained a lot of the top surgeons, and the tools he has developed for the procedure are used by a lot of the other leading surgeons. Dr Lindsey was trained by Dr Feller and is equally as good as him.
