  1. I agree with you and fully understand where you are coming from, i am 26 and had a repair hair transplant 10 days ago to address my hairline. Your 20's can be the best time of your life and as you only live once, need to live life to the fullest, and have no regrets. It is all relative to the individual, so i fully understand. I tryed sorting my hair line out when i was 22 but unfortunately seen very poor surgeon/s in the uk, and now at 26, have had surgery with Dr Feller last week. All i am saying is that for example, you can still date/marry 20 year old girls in your 30's 40's even 50's lol haha
  2. A lot of males look great in the 30's 40's and even 50's ( a lot will argue this is their peak in a male looks wise), so to go with really dense, square, broad lego man hairline in your 20s and find that your hair deteriorates with mid scalp recession/thinning and equally crown recession/thinning, you will firstly leave yourself looking stupid and unless cloning donor hair becomes a reality, you will not have enough hair to address the problem. I can understand where you are coming from as i originally thought like that when i was younger but you can't predict future hair loss.
  3. Spex- yeah, the old Norton scar was removed inside the new strip of donor hair taken, then closed up using the trichophytic closure method i believe. Looks much better already, even as early as 10 days.
  4. Thanks. Really happy with the outcome and current progess.
  5. Before i shaved my hair off, my younger sister took some pictures. I can honestly say though i have never worn hair clips in my hair until yesterday
  6. That is very impressive othersyde, good result and well done Dr Gabel.
  7. Its a bit like who would you have as your wife Megan Fox or Nicole Scherzinger Both excellent and in the elite group of surgeons globally.
  8. I am a bit intrigued, why wouldn't you care about your hair/hairline at 35 to 40? Picked a good surgeon , Dr Rahal is very good.
  9. No i am only joking, i possibly would be doing the same if i had the amount of hairloss you have at your age. Looks like you have good native hair, have you only had one procedure prior to this?
  10. even a small procedure such as this has made a noticeable difference already. Are you sure you haven't been effected by the hair greed devil?
  11. When did you have your recent surgery with hasson&wong? I was going to shave my hair down soon as i am 10 days post on thursday, what is the minimum grade i could have on the sides to disquise the scar fut scar?
  12. Patience is the key with hair surgery and now at 8 months, will only get better
  13. Exceptional result. I think with hair transplants, with finite donor supply, and understanding that hairloss is marathon not sprint, donor hair needs to be allocated correctly and efficiently as possible, so maximum coverage and density can be achieved with the minimum amount of grafts. If donor supply was infinite, there would be no problems. However it isn't and i think he is a master at being very well rounded not too conservative and not too aggressive.
  14. It wasn't great but i am sure from the pictures you can see, there are a lot more unfortunate people then myself. I guess you got off lightly, but how come you had 800 then 5300? Bit of a difference there. Is Norton still solvent or they still churning out horror shows? Love to hear from any positive Norton or FUE clients?
  15. Good to hear it went well, have any pictures?
  16. Yes, of course, you can ask as many questions as you like. Norton Scar (fut) was short to medium length; however it was fatter and broader. It wasn't great, but I have seen a lot worse and should have a picture somewhere if you would like to see? My mum, who is a nurse, just had a look at my scar from my recent surgery with Dr Feller and said the surgeon has done a very good job, with the old scar now removed. I was young, naive and impatient, which sort of led me to making an irrational decision at the time, but everyone makes mistakes, its how you learn from them that is most important, and I have now. At the time, I didn't have any valid/reliable source of information. I didn't know about meds at the time, didn’t have anyone I could talk to in the UK. Hair surgery is more accepted in the USA, with the UK a bit behind the times with its approach to cosmetic surgery, more frowned upon in the UK. The reason I used it again at the time was because when I went back to them to tell them I was hugely disappointed with the result, Jeremy Isherwood and the other gentlemen (Thomas something who was struck off) never stuck me on medication and his argument was that not being on medication had had also contributed to the final outcome. I went on Proscar, which has stabilised the loss but still needed my hair repairing. Enrolling in college, and retraining, made it difficult for me to obtain enough money for the above, resulting in a delayed second surgery. Then I was shown this revolutionary, new pioneering fue treatment, new surgeon’s bla bla bla and that led to the fue repair of my head by fueclinics An Italian surgeon done my fut, then I had Theo do my fue and both surgeries generated very poor yield and next to nothing growth, which again I can show. If I could turn back time, I would have changed my approach, but fortunately, becoming a bit older, wiser and doing more research has broadened my understanding, improving my decision making. I am fortunate in respect that I still have a considerable amount of native hair left with a good donor supply, which needs to be managed by a considerate, caring and expert surgeon as it is finite. It still does amaze me that the UK is way behind regarding hair restoration in comparison to our cousins in the USA, Canada and maybe Belgium.
  17. The company is fueclinics and if you check the website, you will see the great man himself
  18. Best of luck, keep us up to date.
  19. Your in good hands fuemaster and you should have absolutely no worries.
  20. Hello everyone I am a newbie to the hair transplant forums but I have been discreetly browsing and reading various posts over a period of time, so I thought there is no better way to start my account with a post regarding my recent hair transplant repair surgery. I live in England and had been planning for a long while to get my hair repaired, due to two poor previous surgeries. The first one was FUT with Norton clinic and 2nd was FUE with Fueclinics with a certain Mr Isherwood being attached to both of these clinics. I cannot stress enough do not touch these clinics with a barge pole and due to being, young, naive and a little impatient at the time, left me with a large hole in my back pocket when I was earning very little money, poor scarring, negligible hair growth and wasted donor hair and even mental scarring as it leaves you questioning is this whole industry brutal and is it possible to achieve the desired result? However, I believed it was more beneficial to take my time to research, analyse and gain a broader understanding of what was required and also to remain positive and upbeat. I stumbled across Spex by chance and had a look at his site. My morale was boosted instantaneously as I had found it so difficult to find a valuable source of information, which after digesting, then led me to the forums. After studying the forums, I decided to check all the doctors listed and within a short period of time, I had condensed my choice down to around five doctors and conjectured that I would have to look further than the UK, mainly to the USA and Canada. Having discovered this valuable source of information, I thought it was imperative that I purchased Spex latest project ‘Maximum hair Minimum Loss’ and things began to be a lot clearer, with everything falling into place methodically after that. Soon after this, I embarked on a consultation in London to see Dr Lindsey and also have a quick chat with Spex. I was thoroughly impressed with the both of the above and in particular, Spex’s hair. I would have never guessed in a million years that he had had a hair transplant and his hair was awesome. After some more thinking and reflecting, I had whittled it down to Dr Feller and Hasson&Wong. The videos were very appealing for Hasson & Wong but due to a combination of rave reviews of patient’s feedback on the forums, visual before and after results and the fact Spex, being a young english man like myself, who had had his hair repaired by Dr Feller, I thought it was the right decision for me. I was originally quoted 1000 grafts for my repair but I decided to pay for 1250 grafts as I had an online consultation which is not the same as a face to face. Having never flown on a plane for longer than 3 hours, I was a little apprehensive at first but I obviously realised what I felt I needed to do. I flew with Virgin Atlantic and it was brilliant, service was impeccable and I had plenty to occupy myself with, watching 3 and half films and only managing to get to 16,000 on who wants to be a millionaire game. J I booked into the Ramada hotel which was ok and was only about 5 minutes from the clinic. On the day of the surgery, I got there early in the morning, about half an hour early to be pleasantly greeted by Dr Feller. After filling out a couple of forms, he looked over my hair and basically confirmed to me everything I actually wanted to hear, with myself feeling very happy with his analysis and reasoning with a definitive plan of action. Within 5 minutes, I was sat in the surgery chair. I had decided on fut as the density was the most important factor to me and this would generate a better yield. Dr Feller is very likeable guy, funny, extremely intelligent and I enjoyed talking to him. I felt welcome and at ease by him and his assistants, who were all very friendly, hardworking and extremely professional, which resulted with the whole operation going very smoothly with no pain. When I actually looked at what he had done properly, I was amazed and highly content. After I had eaten some lunch, he confirmed that he had actually put in 1900 grafts into my head, when in fact; I had only payed for 1250. I must have caught him on a good day or something but I was ever so pleased that I made the trip and cannot speak highly enough of him and his staff. I do owe a large amount of gratitude to Spex and I am forever grateful for his advice as he has always been honest, contactable and willing to help. I am extremely optimistic with the results and cannot wait for the gradual process to commence. If anyone would like to contact me, I am willing to share my experience, as I am just a normal genuine guy who wants to keep his hair.
