    Well I am well on the way to being a Z-lister in the UK Lad with alopecia who spent six years and thousands of pounds on botched operations finally has full head of hair I haven't been posting as much recently but I hope everyone is maintaining and getting back some of their hair. I wish I was made aware of the forums such as this one when I was doing my research. It gives you the best chance of success by making you aware of all the great doctors out there and gives you the platform to properly educate yourself. It was lucky for me the forums minimised my loses in all related areas as they could have grown considerably larger.

    Djlazerblue, They are terrible. They used to routinely steal pictures from recommended surgeons on here and pass them as their own. Avoid them.

    I think mine lasted around 4 months. Have to agree this is grossly underestimated - it should be stated generally and on the side of caution. The time of starting growth of 3 to 4 months after a transplant for hair to grow is correct.

    I have always cut it into quarters but I expect some may do it into fifths.

    Sbrundel, Use the find a great surgeon in your area feature at the top. Do more than a lot of research and read across all forums.
