  1. Seems like the majority of mine did the same. Not sure on percentages but some must start out fine or you wouldn't continue to see improvement over 18mths...I know some of the improvement has to be the hair thickening. Can't wait to see your pics!
  2. Hasson & Wong are TOP NOTCH.! You are If they were in my back yard I would t be traveling anywhere for a hair transplant! Jo over there is great. Call them up and ask for him! IMO...I would get on Propecia and Rogaine yesterday! Good Luck!
  3. I don't think that the scar is the greatest in the world either. I do think growing your hair out will certainly help! Here are your coalition requirements. Thank goodness it's a little more than paying a fee! Bill and the guys running this board won't put people on here for just paying a fee. If that were the case, there would be about 30 thousand recomended doctors. That said...here you go Membership Criteria A physician must meet the following requirements before being granted membership in the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians: A demonstrated capability to successfully perform large sessions of ultra refined follicular unit grafting via strip excision or FUE hair transplant surgery using tiny incisions and grafts. Follicular units via strip excision are microscopically prepared. Minimizing the appearance of donor scarring by using cutting edge techniques via strip excision or follicular unit extraction. The ability to dense pack tiny follicular unit grafts in a given area when appropriate. 4. I wasn't keen on the idea of shaving but it was so much easier for me to keep it clean. My swelling was terrible. Hairthere is right, nothing you can really do. Drink lots of fluid.
  5. Not really necessary...it was very easy to read! Sorry to hear about your experience! Hang in there! Yes, the ones making fun of you are not your friends!
  6. Just sent it buddy! Thx Gimmie a shout tomorrow! Would love to come to NY and visit you and see this !
  7. Me too... Problem is can't find hairtheres website or anything about it on SMGs website. Cost, etc...I don't even see it advertised on SMGs site?
  8. Okay guys, my fault..I haven't been around for a while BUT I need some help..Ive sent a few PMs to a couple of people and waiting on some feedback…however, can someone, anyone, point me in the right direction of SMP(Milena Lardi) into the donor scar?? Please send me some PMs with links and places that do it.. How temporary is it? How much does it cost on an annual basis?? Basically everything I need to know about it… Hairthere..I think You are doing it now. Jo..are you guys doing it? Janna..is SMG doing it.. Thx guys!
  9. I agree..Ive taken off about 6 months from the board and the ones who were regularly mentioned…Rahal, Feller, Rahal, Gabel, Rahal, Shipiro, did I mention Rahal…lol Seem to have kinda taken a back seat..Its hard for me to imagine there being a better FUT surgeon than Dr Rahal…I really wish he would pick up his FUE as this seems to be the trend…at least in my humble opinion.. It seems to me the problem with FUE used to be megasessions, however it looks as if that has changed as well..
  10. Also... We conceived both of our children while I was taking finasteride. They are both as healthy and normal as possible. 17yo male, 11yo girl.
  11. I don't think there is a risk of birth defects....I think you may have read that wrong. Maybe a Dr can chime in but the only way birth defects can happen " I think " is even the mother is handling crushed tablets.
  12. I've been using it since 1992 before it was even approved for hair loss. No sides...however most sides go away with continued use instead of getting worse.
  13. Same here…she does love it now though… Trying to talk her in to taking an Ottawa Vacation to see Dr Rahal in about 5 years for a touch up!
  14. Jake Welcome to the forum…Im a little confused…Is there anything added in the first set of pictures? If not, that is one of the MOST REMARKABLE propecia transformations I have seen in anyone in an 8 month period.. Also, Just my opinion…I hate hair systems..Over time I think you would save money getting a quality transplant from one of the surgeons on here! Good luck to you!
  15. Scar looks great, but how many grafts did you put in that scar of the 2000 FUE you took on the last procedure? I like that idea…I just wouldn't wanna burn half my grafts back there…Just curious..looks great
  16. Dr Rahal is as good as they come IMO... He corrected some of my previous crown work, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either..dr Rahal made it so much better! Also, the megasession was the way to go for me. I DO thank my first Dr for turning me on to Proscar. When you are 17 and losing your hair you will try anything. That was 1992...I don't know when it was trademark for propecia but I was definitely ahead on that front. Got lucky there. I do think my hairloss has slowed quite a bit. For some reason now I'm think about having a couple of 1k FUE sessions. I know that's prob stupid and way more expensive but dang I just wanna shave , surgery, go back to work in a week. You know what mean..
