  1. Anyone know, or are there any other online boards where doctors/people might know if finasteride have any side effects of the eyes? Or any known studies? I basically started taking Proscar (by Merk), 1.25g about 2 years ago. The hair surgeon recommended just buying Proscar and cutting the 5g pill in quarter's and take one of that per day, rather than buying the actual Propecia, which is basically the same thing, but more expensive. However, this year I have been diagnosed with lattice degeneration in my eyes. Previously, I have done dilating eye tests every several years and no ophthalmologist diagnosed me with lattice degeneration, currently with 1 retinal hole. Now I am concerned since the only real change from my last dilating eye exam was starting taking proscar to prevent further hair loss. I want to continue taking proscar, IF I know this medication does not further damage my eyes. The ophthalmologist is not aware of proscar, and it's normal since an eye doctor might not be familiar with these sort of medications.
  2. wow, didn't even knew there were more than one type. I will look into it for sure and see the pros and cons of each. Thank you for mentioning it
  3. Ok I made a appointment for a free consultation with Dr. Hassen. Didn't know who to chose between Dr. Hassen and Dr. Wong, so I took the first available appointment Thanks for all the feedback
  4. How do you stabilize the hair loss? What side effects do things like Propecia have? And does it actually stop frontal hair loss?
  5. Hey guys, new user here. As I am from BC, I looked up the recommended Physician and noticed Dr. Hasson & Wong being available in BC (the only ones). I was wondering if anyone have any feedback in regards to their procedure and if anyone used them in their hair transplant. Currently I have a what I can call a very mild hair recession that have been progressing during the past 4-5 years or so. I am sure it will continue to get worse as time progresses. I am looking into hair transplant and any downsides it comes with. More specifically, I do wish to have a transplant procedure done instead of other methods such as using infrared or UV light, as I am very skeptical of those procedures and their effects on the brain. I know pretty much nothing what to expect from a hair transplant, however I have seen results and they look very good. I also do know to stay far away from the big chains, which is what it brought me to this forum and community. Cheers
