One year ago today I was sitting in the Foxbar, lonely as hell one day post op. Swelling was starting to sit in. The temp outside was about -4, but that's pretty warm considering what they are experiencing this week. I stayed there for six pretty miserable nights thinking I can't wait to be one year post op. well that time has come and my oh my what a difference 4800 grafts and a skilled surgeon like Dr Rahal and a year later make. I've actually started going to the salon to get a hair cut and style. That's crazy. Anyway, as usual I will post pictures, just not tonight. Just wanted to say I'm glad this year is behind me.

Hairthere Not to steal cane decide thread, but do you have any current updates? How's your hair doing. I would love to see some photos. I think I'm getting the hair greed bug!!! I wouldnt blow dry it for at least 6 months...but Im real conservative...especially after spending 10k..lol

I'm doing the avodart once a week, finasteride the rest. There is a thread on it somewhere. Seems to be working great for me.

Dove is great.. Me personally, I have fallen in love with Revivogen. Mike from Dr Rahals office looked at it and said it was great. I started using it 1 month after surgery.

Worst part for me was the length of the surgery, it's exhausting if you are having a megasession. But, even more than that was trying to sleep for the next two weeks.... Don't sleep on the suture line, do t sleep on the grafts... These are the thoughts that go thru your mind. It's well worth it in the hands of a skilled surgeon!

Also Just catching up...Dr Arocha is great!!! His money buys good beer too!!!! He took my sutures out! Great guy.

RM Not failed....you couldve put 4000 grafts in your crown...BUT DONT,,,just saying you were pretty thin back there... Give it time..your hair looks good...you can pack plenty of more grafts in those same areas.

Agree...throw in a little Nizoral shampoo 2x a week and you should be set!

Shampoo When you went to Dr Stough in 1996 he was too notch!! He's still good he's just very very conservative.

I'm not smart enough to explain it. Go back and read the whole thread. It's been explained. Trust me, top notch surgeons are using staples and its not for short cuts.

If you are really planning on doing both, FUE and then FUT, do FUT first. Make much better use of your donor area.

I've been around way longer than you bud! I started out trying to help you and now you've just gone silly. Believe me, I'm not paid. There are several people on here who can speak to the validity of that! As far as having too much time on my hands, I haven't been on this site regularly for 6 months, however when I saw you had a failed surgery with Rahal I took interest. Also, I , like others tried to steer you away from Armani! However, since you got it all figured out, I'll quit giving my advice. Just trying to help you like I have hundreds on here. There were people who helped me and I try and return the favor.

Fuesday Really??? You say some doctors haven't caught up with the times. Why don't you call Feller, Shipiro, Hasson and Wong, Konior, etc... And tell them the are behind the times of the " gold standard" I went to Rahal, as you well know, however if he would have used staples I still would have gone. IT'S NOT right for you to say you saw ONE patient of Feller or Wong whose scar looked terrible. These guys have done thousands of surgeries. Look at 500 patients and then decide if they are shortcutting or behind the times
