  1. I haven't seen a representative for Dr. Path on the forums. Your best bet would be to contact his clinic directly. Out of curiosity sake, how has your transplant results been holding out with H&W?
  2. Sounds like a good plan. However, it looks like you may lose a lot more. Get on those medications before it's too late. Best of luck Hopefully you can stabilize the loss.
  3. I think your best bet would be to save your money for the time being and hope for future hair treatments. Hair doubling may or may not be on the horizon, and may be able to promise something that is more cosmetically pleasing with more style options. In all honesty, 5,000 grafts wouldn't do much. It would either cover a small area with a larger density, or a large area with little density.
  4. Dr Hakan, your hairlines are incredible. I've always been a fan. You are definitely my number one choice for FUE. You may be seeing me in the future
  5. I'm very picky on who I'd allow to work on me. Hasson and Wong are amongst the doctors who I would let and they are just north.
  6. Dwight. You do make a valid point. The point of this forum is to give those support and honest opinions as to how they should approach their options. Often times, our opinions are selfish and reflect what we would do in a similar situation. However, what we fail to realize, more often than not, is that some are not looking for that full head of hair, or 70 grafts/cm2 with a juvenile hairline. Some are just looking to give a shape to their face. I feel that sometimes those facts are ignored. You do look significantly better in the after pic, by the way.
  7. Any clinic should be able to take them out. Stitches are stitches.
  8. It's not an easy road, but for many of us, it's a road worth taking. Just try to pay as little attention as you can to the fact that you had a hair transplant in order to maintain your sanity.
  9. I don't care if the doctor goes faster than a sewing-machine. What's important to me is the final result. And let me tell you, I'm at 4.5 months now and my hair is starting to look great. When I look at myself in the mirror, I see no lasting shock-loss and I no longer see myself as ugly.
  10. Your donor looks to be average, or a little below average. Your skin-hair contrast is ideal, but you are showing advanced level hairloss. Even with a conservative hairline, you may never achieve the density you dream about. realize that before you start, you may have to use concealers to achieve that dense look.
  11. Beautiful. Sometimes pictures don't do justice to a result. Seeing results live gives a much more appreciable view. Thanks for sharing.
  12. I really like the picture presentation. Hopefully the patient is able to achieve what he wanted to achieve.
  13. Yeah, the problem with your advanced balding is that there simple isn't enough grafts on the back of your head to address it to a cosmetically appealing result (without concealers). If you establish a respectable density, you will probably be able to use, but that usually isn't the goal with people who undergo hair transplantation, and it certainly wouldn't be mine. Sometimes what people do to maximize their donor is first deplete their strip yield (extract as many grafts as humanly possible via strip surgery), and then once their laxity doesn't allow it anymore, they undergo FUE and body hair transplantation. However, given how advanced you are, I'm not even sure if that would make a significant difference to risk it.
  14. The point of this forum is to help people. That said, I am still willing to help, but I'm not going to do the work for you. Many of us spend quite a bit of time giving our time, advice, and experience to those who need our help. I can say from personal experience that there is no lack of progress photos on this site. There are entire sections of the website devoted to that exact purpose. When you see someone who claims to have scanned the site and ended with no results, it leaves those of us who find them in three seconds perplexed. We sent links with exactly what you asked for, we told you how to find these photos (so you could go out and find thousands), and you insult us. If you would still like our help, we're willing to help you, but be thankful and try to be a little less vulgar.
  15. On the second link that I clicked on in Cantdecides' link, I found this: Hair Restoration Site for Predator This website has thousands of examples. If you can't find them, you're not looking.
  16. For someone asking for help, you really don't act like you appreciate it. Cantdecide only provided you with a wealth of information for what you were asking. You said you were looking for progress pictures and not for result pictures. Well, he linked you to patient web-blogs where they updated their 12 months with months photo updates. I think the normal person would say, "Thank you" So I will say it for you, Thank you Cantdecide for providing him with that information.
  17. I agree with Cantdecide. If you look at a lot of signatures, you will see hair transplant blogs. All you have to do is click and view the results. My personal thread, if you want to scroll through it, has photos from each month so far 1 through 4. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170753-my-fut-today-dr-paul-shaprio.html
  18. I'm not telling him to put price over quality. Those two Drs that I listed are amongst the most skilled FUE surgeons in the world and coincidentally have very affordable prices for most western countries. It's purely economics. I wouldn't recommend, nor would Mickey85, if we didn't believe in the skills of the surgeon. I receive $0.00/graft on each patient I recommend to a surgeon. My opinion is unbiased -- based simply off consistency and quality. Do you want me to recommend that he visit Dr. Lorenzo in Manchester England? In my opinion, his results aren't much more amazing than the result of the two doctors I recommended. I hope others will echo. However, his prices are about 3-4x more per graft. Not worth it unless you own a gold mine. As far as addressing his donor. Yes, he has a lot of area to cover and he has to make each graft count if he wants a decent result. Sure, his donor could thin out later in life, however it's showing no signs of thinning at this point in time. To be sure, he should have a donor area miniaturization analysis done in order to assure that his donor is healthy. Overall, I agree with you. If I were him, I would probably just get a hair system or just buzz my hair. Maybe SMP????
  19. Dr Doganay and Dr Erdogan are among the best FUE doctors in the world. What's more, they are easily the best quality you can get on a quality/$ ratio. I linked you to their personal pages on this website where you can view patient results and contact them if you feel you would like to move forward. Dr. Doganay, Dr. Hakan Doganay*Hair Transplant Surgeon in*Antalya,*Turkey Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Koray Erdogan MD*Hair Transplant Surgeon in*Istanbul,*Turkey My advice to you is that you haven't probably done enough research on this forums. If I were you, I would spend a bit more time doing that before committing to anything. Your donor at least looks average, which should be a positive. For exact donor numbers, you would have to go to a clinic
  20. Personally. I don't think you can get better FUE for your money than in Turkey. You'll probably spend much less than half (even with airfare) by going to Turkey. Dr. Doganay and Dr. Erdogan charge 2.7$ and 3.37$/graft, respectively. Their results are world-class also. they aren't run-of-the-mill clinics. Plus, I have seen some good results with body transplants with Doganay. I went to Dr. Paul Shaprio (Ron Shaprio's brother), and had a strip surgery. If you were going for a strip, I would highly recommend Shapiro, as deliver amongst the best results in the world of all HTs. However, I just believe that if you want the biggest bang for your buck, you gotta go to Europe. Turkey.
  21. Wow I'm surprised this thread is getting brought back into the light. I am eventually planning on going to medical school, but wanted to take a few years off before I devote myself. I'm not exactly sure whether or not I want to be a HT surgeon or not, but it is in my mind. I thought that becoming a technician would help me decide, before I devote myself.
  22. Oh god, if only I had that much hair. Plus, your hair characteristics add so much density. I'm jealous. Go see a doctor if you're feeling concerned.. Matt is right
