  1. David, I for one honestly believe you. You were a patient first before you became a moderator. I remember your first procedure that didn't turn out as well as you'd hoped. On a side note, the Coalition list really needs to be readdressed. Some of the doctors on that list either not post anything at all or post very infrequently. The list also has to be divided for FUE and FUT. It is unfair to list say a doctor who is exclusively FUT for example, then some new member comes and looks him/her up and thinks, they do it ALL. Not all doctors are created equal. Some pioneers in the industry are behind the tides these days.
  2. I see many white/colorless little hair. But I think you look right on point at 3 months. P.S. I have my HT scheduled with Dr. Erdogan in 2 weeks
  3. I've been in constant contact with Sevinc, a Dr. Erdogan's patient coordinator. You can reach her directly and send your pictures in the email. My replies are all 1 day apart because of the time difference, Her email is: sevinc@asmed.com.tr
  4. Dr. Feller, you are displaying thin skin, it's disappointing. What motives do I have to "disparage" you in particular? Do I agree that you are a good HT practitioner? Of course. Do I think you are right? No. I can easily reverse the question and say, why would an FUE doctors I have talked to do not come here to debate you? Because your aggressive and opinionated rhetoric makes them not to want the debate. Who loses? Everyone.
  5. You absolutely CAN and probably SHOULD ask me that question and I will not get offended. My reply would be: I appreciate your question Dr. Feller, the answer is NO, I do not work for nor represent ANY FUE or FUT clinic. Get my point?
  6. Dr. Feller, I still think you are a great surgeon. But judging by FUE results by top doctors, some of the results at least on "paper" (pictures, videos) look better than your FUT results. Why the hostility? My question about you performing surgeries was put in a form of a question not a statement. This is what I said: " Also please correct me if I'm wrong but does Dr. Feller still perform surgeries?" Please notice the key phrase please correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't that look like a question to you?
  7. Bill, I agree with all your points. But what gets me the most is the fact that what us "laymen" say "the proof is in the pudding". Although Dr. Feller talks theories that he personally encountered, we "laymen" see the result. To be honest, I see some FUE results from top doctors and they look better than FUT from most reputable clinics, including Dr. Feller's results. Now, I don't want to claim that I've seen all Dr. Feller's results, so I judge them by what was posted by him and his patients on this site. Also please correct me if I'm wrong but does Dr. Feller still perform surgeries? I thought this task is not handled by Dr. Blake. P.S. Bill, did you have a chance to read my PM yet?
  8. Dr. Feller, He said he does maximum of 2500 grafts per day (FUE). Other doctors perform similar number of grafts per day with FUE but they can also do 2 subsequent days and transplant 5000 grafts in 2 days, making it a virtually one procedure as far as the patient is concerned. Dr. Erdogan does just that. He transplants up to 3000 grafts per day but can do 5000 grafts in 2 consecutive days.
  9. Deb, It looks awesome for just 5 months. Well done brother. I have no doubt this would be a killer result.
  10. I'll have to agree with the above. I've been in constant contact with Sevinc. Because of the time difference, our back and forth replies are 1 day apart. But she answered all my questions in details. And I'm booked for July 26th Try sending your questions to sevinc@asmed.com.tr
  11. Please please please, don't go to Bosley. They are a hair mill, turning a quick buck, nothing more. Spend more time on this site, READ and RESEARCH. Don't jump into HT too quickly. Trust me, you will thank us later. You need few months of research, send your pictures to recommended doctors here. Don't let the distance/location determined the clinic for your procedure.
  12. Dr. Feller, I really do appreciate your lengthy replies, truly. I do admire you for trying to educate people on this site. Medical Practice in US is more strict then other countries. It is true. Surgical advances come out primarily out of US. But just like any other industry in US. Everything is money driven (patents, franchises etc). I have a patent for that very reason myself. You are right, my main reason for FUE is I don't want that dreaded scar. I could have jumped on the HT wagon years ago and perhaps you could have been my very doctor to do so. But in a way I'm glad I've waited. My reason was to see how my hair loss would stabilize. I don't take any meds (I've tried them but had those side effects). Currently I'm NW3ish and still believe that FUE is a better choice for me. I'm sure Dr. Lorenzo and Dr. Erdogan have their share of failed results (it's inevitable), I just couldn't find any, at least for Dr. Erdogan. I did see few non optimal outcomes for Dr. Lorenzo. So I believe my choice of FUE paired with good doctor's hands should at least get me to where I want to be. P.S. Sorry about LAY vs LAME, fast fingers, I type way too fast
  13. Dr. Feller, Thanks for your lengthy response. Although I AM a lame person when it comes to performing surgery, I can still make an educated guess. The result is what matters to most (all?) people (paired with conscious prediction for the future loss) . I've came to the conclusion that in the right hands, FUE yields similar, if not better result than FUSS/FUT. I've seen people in person to assess their own results, I've seen countless results (yours and other doctors on HTN included). I just don't understand WHY would other doctors (US doctors included) would put their reputation on the line and perform "BAD FUE". For example Dr. Voris performs FUE exclusively. Do you think he's purposely damaging his patients? I've seen COUNTLESS bad FUT results where no matter what the length of hair in the back is, the scar (or just an empty line in between hair) is always visible. I didn't jump into HT myself years ago even though I've met and consulted with many reputable HT doctors. And even thought your remarks about Dr. Hasson says that ONLY MANUAL PUNCH in the right hands can work were right on the money. One thing I'll mention that you said you have had conversations with Dr. Hasson 10 years go. I take this sentence and extrapolate the KEYWORD "10 YEARS AGO", This tells me that Dr. Hasson's view on FUE has changed. I would concede that techs performing the entire operation is a NO NO. And I personally would not go to any clinic that has such business operation. But the results speak 1000 words for me. I would put up my own results in due time for everyone to see and analyze. P.S. I am well aware of RN and PA performing surgical procedures being illegal in US.
  14. Thanks, although I will probably feel too self-conscious, I guess I'll have to suck it up.
  15. Deb, your growth seems to be great at this stage. I have a question if you don't mind. I'm scheduled with Dr. Erdogan for July 25th. Did you wear a hat flying back home? If you did, what kind of hat did you wear?
  16. Not to high jack your thread but I was researching HT for the past 9 years (look at my day of registration on this site). Dr. Feller was on my short list at the time. I'm actually glad I didn't go through with HT at that time because it would have been FUT. I just scheduled my HT with Dr. Koray Erdogan for Jul 26th and I feel very confident. He really does produce killer results with FUE. And even though I know pretty much ALL doctors have their share of "failed" results due to different factors (physiology etc), I have yet to find any bad results from ASMED (Erdogan) and I've looked VERY hard. Pack it with H&W endorsement of FUE and Erdogan helping them with his technique, looking at countless results (some in person) sealed the deal for me. And the cherry on top was the price (which should never be the deciding factor). Just booked the flight and even the price of $1700 + the cost of the procedure makes it more than HALF of what I would have paid here in US.
  17. I think this is more IRONIC. Look at the Hasson and Wong (the PIONEERS in MEGASESSION of FUT) and what they think about FUE. Also pay attention who "trained" them. Maybe "train" is the wrong word but it just goes to show what H&W think about FUE and OTHER EUROPEAN doctors You can read it for yourself (or take a look at the screenshot attached) https://hassonandwong.com/setting-new-standards-fue/
  18. Hakan Doganay is not even close to the same level of Koray Erdogan. He's no longer recommended by this community after many failed results.
  19. Hey Jax, You look OUTSTANDING at 6 months. Some people have this kind of result as their FINAL outcome. So congrats and enjoy your new head of hair. I'm in the process of booking with Dr. Erdogan, shooting for around July. Congrats again bud!
  20. Deb, I sent you a PM (looks like my permissions were fixed).
  21. Good to hear, I submitted my pictures on Saturday. I hope they come back to me with an estimate within a day or two.
  22. The fun has begun. I just have a feeling you will have a killer result. Congrats. Deb, I wanted to send you a PM but it looks like I can't (probably no permissions). Did you contact Dr. Erdogan by submiting your pictures through his site?
  23. Beaver, Every HT doctor is a businessman. HT is an elective surgery, so doctors are NOT here to help people. They are here to provide a SERVICE for patients. You can't say because he's more of a businessman therefore he's not ethical. Ethics is something else. I would agree with you that if he took ANY patient, no matter whether the patient is a good candidate for HT or not. That would be unethical. But I've seen Dr. Erdogan turn people away for either having bad donor or the results they are aiming for could not be achieved.
