2013-09-24 Five Months After

Comparing today's pictures to a month ago, there is some definite changes. It's interesting because as you're going through it day by day, you don't really notice it as much. In my mind's eye, my head looks like it did a month ago, but now looking at the present with the past there side by side it's very clear. My head looks "thin" and you can see through it to my scalp. I still don't understand how there will be more density as it seems like I should be seeing little hairs growing in between

My First HT

Here's my story......   I have been suffering with hair loss for the last 10+ years. Everything was fine, until I colored my hair. I still regret that decision, but past is past and need to get HT done asap. I am excited about it and hence need to your guys help to find the right doctor. I would prefer a doctor in LA but would not mind doing it in San Diego. Tried Ayurveda medicines for a while and few others, but never took it seriously. This website provides a very good information

Round 1 of Recovery: Before SMP

Hello there,   I wanted to create a blog to allow people like myself who have went bald at an early age so it could be a lesson learned. The challenge with these blogs/forums overall is that they would show their early results but very few show the end result. Whatever it was because they were so happy, they stop showing up in the forums or they were ashamed of the wasted dollars they spent, my promise to document as much as possible my whole journey.   As a recap of my hair loss s

Hi I'm new here

Hi my name is brian. To skip my history,I'm going for transplant surgery on feb 20th.I would like to post before and after pics so that people can see what I had done.I will also release the doctors name so others can see his work and decide if he is good or not.As of right now I'm having the frontal area of my head done and if all goes well I will be returning to this doctor to have the crown done.I'm putting my trust in his work 100% and we will see what happens. If anyone goes on other hair web

3300 fut with dr feller

Like many of you, I have been suffering in silence with my hair loss for approx 7 years or so and I had finally got to the stage where I had to do something about it. I could not accept the fact that my hair was going, and the longer it went on, the harder and harder it was to look at myself everyday in the mirror at my hair that was thinning, and thinning....and thinning!! I have had various treatments done before, which, to no avail did not work! So after copious amounts of researching, I ca

Day 9

Got my sutures out today. Recipient area looks pretty good! The tranplanted hair is growing faster than my normal hair! I shaved the back of my hair to match the front the day after the surgery. Still have the sides long to cover my donor area scar. I am wearing a hat until the top grows out.

Day 2

Looking pretty good I think for day 2. Haven't taken any vicodin, just ibuprofen. Sleep is still lacking due to the fact that I usually am a light sleeper and also sleep on my stomach.

Surgery Photos

Here are some photos of the surgery. Note, that there is a section of hair shaved by accident at the back as I had moved while the Tech was shaving the recipient area!

Tracking My Second FUT Procedure: Update #06

Here's where I'm at as of September 12th, about 5.5 months in. Still not much of a change since last time, but that's what I was told to expect. I'm told to expect changes around 10 months and maybe notice a difference around 8 months. It does seem a little bit thicker to me with my hair down but when it's up it seems like's nothing has changed. So I'm just being patient for now and looking forward to added density hopefully less than five months away!

How long will it take for the shock loss to stop

I am a hair lover from india who recently went for hair transplanataion for 800 grafts   How long will it take for the shock loss to stop. I know hair lost due to shock loss may take 3/4 month to come back if it’s temporary. But my question is how long they will keep falling( 1 week , 2 week or more). The hair that are falling are quite thick and the way they are falling( 150 during wash) is really annoying.   I had the HT 12 days back only for 800 grafts on my frontal M shape on

If it was juts a bit broader.....

Every day I look at my hairline and every day I see no change as to what it was 4 or 5 years ago. I hit my mid 30's last year so it's all downhill from here, which I don't mind at all but it is frustrating. I'm still using the derma roller, taking zinc and vitamin D pills and drinking green tea every day and I'm guessing it has helped a lot in maintenence but still. I've been experimenting with different harstyles and no matter what I do I just can't get away with anything other than my usual
