Hi folks,
thought I'd share my experience of my trip to Poland with you.
After doing hour's of research on the net I decided to have my hair transplant carried out by Dr Marwan Saifi in Wroclaw Poland, I sent photo's & e-mailed him to see if I was a possible candidate for the FUT procedure, shortly after contacting him I received a reply saying it looked as though it was possible to carry out the transplant, after the initial contact I spoke to Dr Saifi on the phone several times as well
Where do I begin. Like many, I hair began to recede when I was approximately 21 years of age. I am currently 47 and though it is a tad bit easier to deal with now, only because of age, I have never learned to accept the idea and live comfortably with it. Let's just say, that their arn't very many apects of my life that my hair loss hasn't effected. I have a great job, but cannot wear a hat at work or I would. My hair has receded very slowly and gradually for the last 26 years and I am finally in
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my upcoming FUE experience with you. I have decided upon Dr Feriduni in Belgium and I am scheduled for a FUE in June 2013.
I have been classified 3-3A and have been researching for about 2 years with a friend of mine who is also experiencing hair loss.
I have been taking propecia for four years, but no other medication.
In the past 12 months I have become much more comfortable with the thought of having FUE as it is my desire to have my hair shorte
hi im new to the forum and am really looking for some help and dont really know where to start im really looking in to getting a ht and would love some help on whats the best type of surgery and witch doctor/clinic is best
I was pretty apprehensive about, and quite honestly dreading this date since day one. I had heard that the staples were uncomfortable, and make no mistake, they are, but what I also heard was the pain in removal. I'm not going to sugar coat it, they are every bit as painful as I imagined...
Let me back up a moment. I was told by the technician after my surgery to sandbag one of the Percocets and take it 30 minutes before the removal. I was also told to soak my head in warm/hot water to soften
Hi everyone,
I had my procedure done over a week ago. Here are my notes:
Operation Timeline
730: Had blood drawn, filled out paperwork and consent forms. Dr. Bhatti shaved my head and drew the lines for implantation.
800: After applying a local anathestic, Dr. Bhatti drilled tiny holes all over the back of my head. He and his assistants then extracted the hair follicles to be used for implantation.
1230: Graft implantation for hairline.
430: Graft implantation for crown.
630: Finish.
Im about one in half months from my last HT. Ive had several procedures over the years with great results. However I just wasnt satisfied and decided to go for one more procedure. I went to a great Dr and he was able to get me another 2500 gratfs. However, I am going through the worst Shock loss in the history of man. The Dr performed a strip procedure across the back of my head right above the ears. When I came home from the procedure I had all my hair in the back of my head in the donor area.
It has been just over 2 weeks since my FUE procedure and the grafts have started to shed. There is some pink/redness in the recipient area, possibly due to the first application of minoxidil 5%, which tingles a lot.
The donor area is healing nicely, with a bit of itchiness and redness which should subside within the next 4-5 days.
Enter the ugly-ducking phase. Happy to report no complications with the healing process, and looking forward to resuming my normal exercise regimen sometime in t
Hi I had a tranplant before 3 months. I have noticed some growth till now but there are areas with no growth, they are kind of patches. Or I must say that may be the microscope or something just ensure that : " yes there small hairs coming out which are invisible to naked eye".
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Hi,
I'd like to start by thanking you for giving your time to read my story and i hope that my experience might help others going through or thinking of going through with a HT.
I'm 26 and have been noticeably losing my hair for about two years. Over the two years I've battled with the thought of losing my hair and what I could do about it. It was from forums such as this that I gained a lot of valuable information and where I also heard about Spex.
After reading about Spex and h
This is a random collection of tips and tricks I bequeath unto you...
PAIN MANAGEMENT
When you get to Vancouver, go to any drug store pharmacy and purchase a bottle of "222". It's over-the-counter, literally. You have to ask the pharmacist for it, but you do not need a prescription. This has ASA, caffeine and most importantly, codeine in it. H&W are only going to give you like 10 Tylenol-3. The main difference is 8mg vs 30mg of "the good stuff". Buy the 100 pill bottle as that is the ma
It's been a couple of weeks since my first update (https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/marklet/blog/3141/), so time for another one. As you can see in the attached image, pretty much all of the new hair has fallen out and so I'm back to normal again for awhile. Presumably these updates will look very similar for the next 3-4 months while a lot of waiting occurs, but then things should get at least start to get a little more interesting.
I am 27 years old and suffering from hair loss for last 3-5 years. I am considering it as a devil beacuse, this hairloss is taking away from me my hair, my confidence and my self being.
Doctors suggests different type of treatments but nothing is working
THURSDAY - The Shampoo
I went in for my first shampoo / washing after checking out of the hotel and before driving back home to Seattle. The girl washing my hair said that it was looking really good and I jokingly said, "I bet you say that to all the boys". She assured me that she did not and that made me feel good about the process -- whether she meant it or not.
I also saw Dr. Hasson again and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Oh that looks good! That density is great!" ... so agai
Now it's on like Donkey Kong. No turning back at this point...
You lay face down in what looks like a massage table with the hole for your face. They cover you with surgical cloths and I quipped that I wonder if this is how an aligator (or other wild animal) feels when you see them cover their eyes with a towel to calm them. It actually did have a calming effect -- or maybe the valium had started working by now. Hasson gives you about 10 or so injections from the center of the back of your h
I had heard from many people that the office is very nice, and they were right. It is modern and clean. The staff are super friendly and very professional.
When I first arrived, I was given about 5 pages of papers to read and checkbox and sign. Standard stuff really. Allergies, waivers, payment, etc.
Then a nurse gave me a HUGE button up shirt to change into and then took my blood pressure and gave me a few pills to swallow. An anti-biotic and I don't even remember what the others were. She
Since I live in Seattle, WA, I drove up on Tuesday evening after work. It's about 130 miles and takes roughly 3 hours. Despite handing the border monkey THREE forms of ID in my Passport booklet, WA driver's license & USA/Canada Passport Card AND the letter that H&W sends you, the guy was still sweating me! I hate customs. It's so stupid. So pointless. Anyways, once that nonsense was over I arrived at the hotel around 9pm.
If you have 2000 or more grafts, Hasson & Wong will pu
It's been one week since my procedure with Dr. Rahal.
Recovery is coming right along. I'm taking it easy for one more week, to make sure I don't disturb my beautiful grafts.
Almost all of the swelling has subsided from the recipient area, and I can move my forehead again.
Anxiously awaiting the ugly duckling period. The only sad thing is that the weather in LA is gorgeous and I can't go out in the sun for 3 months.
Oh well...
Woke up early and headed to Dr. Rahal's office around 6:30am.
I was enthusiastically awaiting my hairline consultation and proposed plan of attack.
Upon arrival, I first met with Mike, the head technician and a patient coordinator. We walked into a room and took before photos to document.
Then I was introduced to Dr. Rahal and we chatted about the goal. I wanted an aggressive hairline, FUE procedure and as many grafts as possible, as I'm sure most men considering the procedure would.

After much consideration and narrowing to down to three top HT surgeons around the globe, I decided to have my procedure done by Dr. Rahal.
I had spoken with his UK patient advisor Matt over the phone, who had recently had his procedure performed by Dr. Rahal as well, and in less than a week I was on a plane from Los Angeles to Canada to.
I had arrived a day before the scheduled meeting with the doctor, so I could be well rested. I took a cab from the airport and stayed at the Brookline Gu
