Dr. Hasson/793 Grafts With Gel/ 11 Months Post-op/ONLY ONE SESSION!

This local patient felt his temple recession was a bit too much considering his age and lifestyle. He asked Dr. Hasson to decrease the amount of recession to give his hairline a stronger overall appearance. 793 grafts were utilized to reduce the recession while maintaining a proper adult male design. Results shown are 11 months post-op with gel in his hair. Notice in the closeups you can see each hair individually as it exits the scalp.

Jotronic,

Do you happen to have any immediate post-op to show the exact area of work? His results do look extremely natural and one would never guess any work was done (even if it was very minor). Love the close-up of the hairline in the second-last photo. Wow - that's zooming in!

Any thoughts on perhaps why the patient opted not to have FUE for the low graft number required? Was it the lack of shaving required with strip, the cost, or did he just flat-out he wanted H&W? Just really curious.

It's a very nice result, but I have to agree with vincehair. It would seem that FUE would have been a better option for him, but maybe cost, travel, or just being dead set on Dr. Hasson was the patient's reason for not undergoing FUE.

I disagree with the comments that FUE was the way to go. For 793 grafts the scar will be very small. Not everyone is afraid to have tissue cut out of their head and stapled back up. I have seen strip patients in person, and done correctly you cannot find the scar. Even with hair very, very short (almost buzzed look) you cannot even find it knowing it is there.

M&M,

No post-op shots, sorry. We have post-op photos for some patients but not all but this will be changing.

He opted for Dr. Hasson for the results as that is what mattered to him most.

Vincehair,

I'm sure that if you were to actually talk to the patient you would have a hard time convincing him that his decision was "dumb". He has full growth and is happy enough to come in and show us his result without us asking and was also happy enough to pose for these close up photos and the HD video to come on Friday.

TC,

Why would FUE have been a better option? He's happy.

Rachmunas4life,

You will the donor in detail on Friday when I post the high definition video of this patient's result.

Thank you all for commenting.

I agree with Joe. I think it would only matter if he was planning on shaving his head, although from what I have seen, such a small session has virtually zero risk for the scar to be visible, even at very short lengths.

Probably the best result I have ever seen for such a small amount of grafts. Great job.

11/04-07 - 800-1600 ish grafts - danish clinic - poor results

12/02-08 - 2764 grafts - Dr. Devroye - good result but needs hairline density

03/12-10 - 1429 grafts - Dr. Mohmand - result pending

Very nice result as always. Personally, I would have went with FUE for such a small number of grafts but thats just me. From a personal point of view, I just don't feel the risks and down time associated with FUT are worth it for such a small procedure.

I don't see why strip for a small session is a bad idea. What if he loses more in the future? Well, he can do strip again instead of taking more FUE from an already thinned out donor region.

Looks great, btw. Which in the end is the most important thing.

It could be the gel, but it does look like this patient is in for some future thinning. I too would have likely opted for fue on such a small session, but I don't think there's anything wrong with him opting for strip.

I don't really see any areas of potentially future thinning but as with ALL hair transplant surgeries, you have one, you might have another sometime in the future.

Glad you fellas like this one.
