Looks good. We got virtually the same procedure with the same number of grafts (except I had no beard grafts) so I am keeping an extra close eye on your progress.

The hair seems to stand up in quite a 'wild' manner. Is it hard to tame and style?

Yeah, it’s quite wirey still but slowly improving. Difficult to tame. Then again I put RU in in the morning, Pyril in the afternoon, and minoxidil at night so there’s always some product in it making it shoot upward since I tend to rub that stuff in front to back. But after I get out of the shower, it lays much flatter.

Could you post a pic of the hair lying a bit more manageable mate? That would be super interesting to see, and I also want to get an idea of what I can plan for when I'm 4.5 months in ;)

Not much happening yet obviously, but here is a 5-week post-op pic. Shedding in full force. Some hairs starting to burst through on the surface, I can feel them. Also, do not mind the blonde hair on the side...I bleached my non-transplanted hair for a Halloween costume. I do not advise anyone to do such things unless you really know what you're doing. But I would never touch the newly transplanted area. 😄 Hopefully come winter I will have some great progress to share.

I have 5300 like you, and all the progress the first 3 weeks looks very very similar to yours. So..... this is what I have to look forward to in week 5 😰

Right on track as far I can tell. You obviously won't have even growth this early on, but once the 2, 3 and 4 hair grafts start to fully bear fruit, it should thicken up in the mid region for you pretty well.

Looking jacked up bro! Keep working on you and the hair will come!😎

@Eugenix Hair Sciences How we lookin?!

Looks very cool for 4,75 month! If you put some toppik you would look with kinda full head of hair? Did you try it my friend?
And how about strongholding? If you try to pul one of the tarnsaplanted hair out do you succeed easily?

2.5 months progress from side profile look. I feel like the growing is going very well. It's not much yet in the grand scheme of things but I am already extremely happy with the way things are looking. I no longer have a smooth head. 😂

PS: I don't care about my retrograde alopecia. Not a big deal. Hair on the top of the head is soooo much more important.

I agree.

By the way - was this the time when the redness went away?

This looks incredible for not even 5 months in man.

I messaged you on Instagram about everything a few days ago, thanks for all your help and am looking forward to a similar journey myself. You’re a good dude 🙏

That's looking really good, especially for just 4.5 months.

Have you felt your confidence shift over this last month or so now that things are starting to take shape?

Can you share some pictures with toppik in to see how this looks? I think you'd already be able to pull off a full head of hair

Hmm, maybe I should film a tutorial. I think you went up too high. You should stop right here.

Once the crown is grown out a bit you could blend into #2. Keep the bottom a zero middle a #1.  I wouldn’t recommend going so short, because you have to blend the demarcation line so it fades gradually into where its thicker.

Here’s how I did it. The bottom portion was very thin. But blended it wasn’t as visible. A31F578B-797F-4C8B-8FAF-66CE90A9E85D.jpeg6F2E8CAF-0320-4CF4-8EDE-D98BAD85B65D.jpeg

This was years ago before I had any grafts placed in my crown.

When I get to that stage in a couple of months and if I need it, then I'll come for that tutorial :)

Haven’t tried any additional tools (like fibers) yet. Just want to see the fully natural growth continue to come in and will consider those things in a few months if needed.

I’m not familiar with strongholding. A normal tug on the transplanted hair doesn’t pull it out, no.

Not using fibers at this point because of the lifestyle I live, not exactly very easy or reliable. But will consider in a few months! Already very happy with the look. I’ve gone without a hat a few times now for the first time in many years because I feel fairly close to fully-haired men again. So refreshing.

At 4 months you were not completely happy and wondering if your progress had stalled somewhat.

How do you feel now?

Super good! Really feel the growth and thickening kicking in now. Can’t even explain how renewed it feels.

My hair looked like such garbage for the past several years that I just buzzed the back and sides and went many weeks in between and let the hair on my neck grow wild cuz I didn’t care/lazy. I plan on going in to a barber next week for a trim up/fade just a bit around the back and sides. Willing to pay a few bucks a week again to look sharper.

That's great to hear. Really great!

And do share pics after that trip to the Barber.
