Regular Member InterventionalPDoc Posted August 11, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Dr Konior is in Chicago, you should look at his clinic. Wait times are extended but may be worth it.

joey_w
Dr. Konior is booked out for a year. Let’s say I schedule my procedure today for next year, it’d happen in August 2021. It’d then take another whole year to see the full results of the procedure which brings me to August 2022. At that point, I’ll most likely need a 2nd procedure or at least a touch-up, so I’d have to join the year long line again and wait another year for my touch-up, which would happen in August 2023, and then ANOTHER WHOLE YEAR of waiting for the full results to grow, which would bring me to August 2024! That’s 4 years! Who wants to wait that long?! 😭

If I was dead set on doing this surgery and I just waited for my surgery with a great ethical doctor I would have saved time, money, and a lot of stress. the fact that you think that worst case scenario you will just need a touch up tells me that you, just like me didn’t do enough research into how detailed this surgery is and all the things that can go wrong if you go to the wrong doctor. Konior or any doctor near his level is worth the wait.

Definitely set up a consult with him, you'll learn a lot. 1 Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008 Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013 Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020 My Hair Transplant Journey with Shapiro Medical Group

Regular Member InterventionalPDoc Posted August 13, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted August 13, 2020 If the wait with Dr K is too long for you then find the right physician to do it even if it involves some travel. What you don't want is to end up with a bad or unsatisfactory result. So give it your best shot!
