Regular Member Corbinite Posted August 22, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Starting a second thread as the first was unfortunately corrupted...My surgery w Dr Bisanga went well. I'm happy w the result. I had the procedure on Nov 2018 Before surgery: Jan 2019: Feb 2019: April 2019: Current (August 2019): Shoutouts to Dr Bisanga and his assistant Hilde. They did a great job. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted August 23, 2019 Moderators Share Posted August 23, 2019 This looks very good considering it was all body hair. You mentioned before about the possibility of using leg hair. Can you tell us which areas of your body the grafts were taken from? Senior Member Mycroft Posted August 23, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2019 I've never seen such a large case done exclusively with body hair, much less one that looks this good. Your hair honestly looks much better than some guys I know who still have a decent chunk of scalp hair. I'd be interested to know if you see the characteristics changing at all over time, as I've seen it suggested that transplanted body hair will partially take on traits of the recipient area after a while. Regular Member Pangloss Posted May 14, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted May 14, 2020 (edited) It would be very instructive to know which type of body hair was used, i.e., beard, chest, leg, abdomen...and what was the success rate and transection rate? Senior Member sl Posted September 24, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 24, 2020 This patient I believe had two surgeries elsewhere prior to us and thus we taped into body hair and use beard and chest. This video also details body hair usage that may be of interest as to our approach:- I represent Dr. Bisanga. Beard and chest and approx a 50/50 split. These are single haired so it makes the outcome very good when we keep that in mind also. I represent Dr. Bisanga.
