Johnny, I'm sure someone has said this already but your hair looks great. If I saw you in public I would never think you are experiencing hairloss. After going through a couple HTs already and being a part of this forum, you should know by now that transplanted hair can never match your juvenile density, it is suppose to present the "illusion" of a dense head of hair. Although I think your hair looks good short like that, you will be able to notice the difference your HTs have done for you more if you grew your hair out and styled it. I had a HT 6 weeks ago and Im going to end up with a much bigger forehead and more "mature" hairline than you. I chose that on purpose to plan for future loss down the road, but my point is that your hair looks great and you should be very happy where you are today.

Well.

I know that i never gonna get thick thick density, but there is alot of gaps all around the reciepted area wich makes my hairline and the corners look kinda unnatural :(

My middle part of my hair is ok, but i still dont Think my that it looks good enough.

You guys need to remember to look at before pictures

This picture is before This HT, and as you Can see, the difference is not that Big, infact i have lost quite abit of native hairs and replaced with donor hairs.

So its like one step forward and one step back :-/

Try growing your hair a little longer then you have a better idea as short croped hair like you got will show the any weakness.

HT is never ever going to be perfect so try not to be to critical of yourself.

I think you look fine buddy.

I agree with the other guys, your expectations are unreal. Your work looks as good as can be expected. If you're going to wear it that short it's going to show some gaps, it's just supposed to provide the illusion of native hair not match native hair density. Grow it out or wear it like that and stop stressing it looks like a very good job.

if you compare it with the pre op picture do you still Think that my expectations are unreal?

I understand that i might Seem Strange to some of you guys with a higher norwood, but you need to remember that i was NOT a High norwood, and i just Think that with my hairloss and the grafts i recieved, the results should be better.

I mean clearly you guess must be able to see the spots im

Talking about?

Look at the picture once more.

It not even a gap, its a Big piece of the hairline with 1 cm inside the hairline with like 4-5 hairs.

I'm not a high norwood guy. And im not saying your procedure is flawless, but what procedure is, what am I saying is it looks like a solid transplant and given how you wear it, it is bound to expose more than it would if it were longer. I see what you're saying and you might want to talk to your doc about a touch up on that spot as many will do that if some grafts didn't take and left a small gap but all in all I couldn't call that work a failure. So yes I do believe you are nitpicking a little bit looking for perfection as outside of you nobody would really fixate on what you are, they would think you got a good head of hair, it isn't that glaring a problem but one your doc might be willing to address for you. I would check with him.

I know i might be nitpicking a bit, and i usually wait it a bit longer, i just shaved it Down so i could compare it properbly with before pictures.

I updated the doc, and is waiting for he's response

If your unhappy with maybe 50 hair Folicals never took I suggest you speaking with your doctor about this maybe he may can have another go but my gut feeling is that your not going to be happy eitherway im afraid to say as I feel that your expections was at a level of perfection & like I said before HT can never ever be perfect nomattter what anybody or doctor may tell you.

Hey Johnny, I have seen VERY few results that look good buzzed. I, myself, have to grow my hair pretty long to have a decent look. Push it forward and up or over to one side. Sorry, but this is the reality with Ht's. I think you would look pretty good with that kind of hairstyle. Try it.

I think you had good yield, just maybe wrong hairstyle?

Good luck friend

I think we know now why you're such an arse to guys fresh out of surgery telling them they're going to be unhappy with the density. It's because you're a density freak, anything short of a 100 per square centimeter is not good enough to you. I hope you get the result you want but you really didn't need surgery in the first place.

What are you talking about beeing an arse? I commented on to People's HT because they asked for an opinion !

Please explain why im beeing an arse?

Should i Lie and say something i dont mean?

I wansnt beeing negative to Them, i just gave my opinion because they wanted People's opinion!

And yes im expecting the density the doctor told me or at least close to it but when im looking at an area of maybe 1 square cm in the hairline where only 2-3 hairs are growing Then i wouldnt Call myself a density freak.

I agree that buzzed that short is not the best style to try to achieve a denser look.

But i only cut it that short because i wanted to compare it proberbly.

I Think the main problem was that i recieved grafts into a thinning zone wich caused my hairs to Shock out and maybe only 60-70 % returned, so maybe thats why i have these "gaps" im talking about

I dont think 50 grafts is enough to fill out the areas, but i emailed lorenzo and asked if it Can be done better with a touch up.

If he says that its the best he Can do Then i have to accept that offcourse.

But if he agrees that there are some spots that needs to be fill out, why shouldnt i do it?

I get it that Many of you guys Think that im crazy or unrealistic, but you guys have to remember to look at before and after pictures and compare.

Because its not about how my hair look at the top and the sides and the Crown.

You need to focus on the hairline and the corners and compare the before and after on that area ONLY.

I just thought with 1600 grafts in that area i would have a stronger hairline/corners

Hopefully lorenzo say that he Can add a couple of hundred grafts and sort me out and Then im good to go :)

Hey Johnny, I've been following your story I'm gonna give you my honest opinion, don't do anything for now, grow your hair longer on top and comb your hair forward, you really do have great hair and you should feel lucky cause you are.

My question to you is, what if on your third procedure you get even worse shock loss than before, what if this time 0% of the shock loss grows back, what would you do? how would you feel? Would it be worth it to fix these minor gaps? Remember surgery sometimes isn't the answer, a guy like me had nothing to lose, a guy like you has a lot to lose.

Psychologically this is actually worse, I can understand that, that's why I'm not one of those guys who are telling you that you shouldn't be unhappy cause you're not as bald as me, that's nonsense, the fear of losing your hair is terrible on your psyche once it's lost there's nothing left to fear, I know that from personal experience.

With that being said, I'm telling you growing your hair out long on top will disguise the hairline completely, at this point it's probably your best option, I have a feeling the growth may be poor due to scar tissue from Dr. doganay, if you keep trying to put hair in scars your wasting those grafts because the growth will never be as good as a virgin head, save those grafts in case you ever bald in the mid scalp or crown. Hope you find a solution that can bring you peace of mind I'm rooting for you.

Hey buddy

You really described it Well.

And alot of things you say is absolutly true.

If i get shockloss again and it Dont return the i would be very very sad.

But if i only get the hairline treated Then i shouldnt experience shockloss because thats allmost all transplanted hairs, Right?

Do you Think that it is because of my extremly poor HT with dr hakan that is the cause of not to good growth in certain areas?

I have mixed takes on this case, agree that buzzed transplants will never match native hair type density (even areas of my hairline 60 grafts/cm2 in density looked somewhat sparse-like last procedure when I shaved down) but I do agree the gaps are somewhat prominent.

If you do go for another round, only go with someone like Konior who would do the stick and place technique where he makes the incision sites one by one and also transplants each individual graft one at a time.

Stick-and-place Technique**- Chicago, Gold Coast, Milwaukee, Oakbrook

Though if you've had multiple procedures in the same area and still not growing it could be some issue such as tissue scarring etc.

As KO, interested in current progress and hope things are getting better for you.

go dense or go home

Hey guys.

I am currently in the maldives on my honeymoon with my wife so i Will give an Update with pictures when im home i a week or so.

But i Can tell you that the gaps is still there and im pretty sure that they Will not suddently starts to grow.

I am Also nervous that another surgery might not help is there is a problem with my skin in some areas? Maybe dr. Hakan really messed my skin up in the reciepted area from the first HT i had?

But shouldnt a top surgeon be able to tell if the skin looks good or not?

Johnny first off congrats on getting married go enjoy yourself, now about your question shouldn't a top surgeon be able to tell if the skin looks good, the answer is YES, most surgeons will tell you that growth is not as good on a previously worked area as it is not a virgin scalp.

The majority of guys grow their hair out, so I suspect most won't be able to tell the difference, however in your case with short hair you can tell. I know several patients that went to Dr. Doganay suffered folliculitis and skin infections which caused cobblestoning and pitting, I'm not sure if you suffered these issues but this certainly could be a cause for poor growth, anyways I think you should discuss with Dr. Lorenzo that you're unhappy with the results and see what he says.

That really scares the hell out of me as at the time of my touchup procedure with Dr. Konior I was looking at Dr. Doganay due to all the hype on the forum at that time plus decent price.

So glad I didn't make that mistake but it goes to show you that you really have to be careful.

Congrats Johnny and enjoy your honeymoon!

I do believe an elite surgeon can correct your case (I already mentioned the one I have most confidence in) but proceed carefully and after really researching it.

Thanks :)

Regarding the surgery with dr hakan. How Can i determine if i Got folliculitis?

When i Google pictures of it i only see very severe cases of infected scalps.

I do however have had ALOT of sebum the last couple of years, and now that i Think of it, i didnt really noticed Any sebum problems before my HT with dr. Hakan.

Could This sebum be caused by an infection of folliculitis, and how Can i get rid of it?

I cannot go to my dermatologist because they know nothing about hairloss, or scalp problems.

Well dr lorenzo is an elite doctor, and the first reason i want him to fix it the most is because i would get the touch up maybe for free or at least at a very Low rate because i allready had surgery with him.

The second Reason is that it have to be a FUE. And lorenzo is an FUE only doc, wich i Think is the best.

Third Reason is that my donor area looked perfect after 10 days and you cannot see lorenzo took 1600 grafts out.

And last, he knows my case allready so maybe that would mean he would be really really sure he would make it good.

^With all due respect, have you thought about avoiding another HT and just styling your hair differently? I'm saying bc your goals are going to be tough to accomplish as you want really high density to match native density, which is going to use tons of grafts. Just IMO though.

Hey KO, i hear what you are saying, and yes i have thought about that ALOT, trust me.

But its really hard to "style" my hair when there is clear gaps. Especially in the hairline.

If it was in the middle of the scalp there were some small gaps Then i could just comb my hair back and Then it would cover it, but when its in the hairline and you want to comb your hair backwards Then it looks bad with an clearly uneven hairline with clear gaps.

And it looks really really stupid with a combed forward hairstyle on my. :(
