thanks raj!

here's a few more taken after a professional haircut yesterday. i am not using any concealer, although i did style it with samy fat hair cream and Jonathan Dirt Texturizing Paste... from the front, it looks pretty good in my opinion, but from a birds eye view, i don't think my hair is quite ready for any type of gel or wax.. maybe in a few more months :)

Hi butchcoolidge,

Thanks for sharing your updates. Your hair looks good. I think that your days of "gel and wax" are just a few months away:)

Best regards,

California

8 month update!

my left side frontal is much thicker than the right. you can get the best idea of what i'm referring to with the birds eye photo, the fifth attachment "front-top.jpg".

hoping it evens out in the coming months as i still have 4 months until i hit the 1 year mark.

what do you guys think? would love to hear feedback.

Based on your pre-op you've definitely made solid progress. I think if you want to make it into a 'fantastic' result you will most likely need to opt for another procedure, unless you continue to see some strong growth in the following months, though I'm sure the more experienced members will judge this better than me. There is some slight 'patchiness' between your existing native hairline and the transplanted hairs, and the crown can also use more grafts. However this is more from the top-down angle, from the side and face level it looks very good based on where you were before, and it also depends on your happiness. If you are satisfied with the result and day to day then let that be your best guide.

Well I've somehow made it to the 9 month mark. Here are photos... I would appreciate any honest feedback.

The good news is that I think the crown has improved since the last update?

The hairline looks rather "pluggy" up close, but I still haven't reached 1 year so there's room for improvement (and I've also never seen a HT in person up close, so I'm not entirely sure what realistic expectations are!)

I've no question made improvement, for which i'm thankful.

P.s. where are all these grays coming from?!

wow big improvement since your last update, looks like you got some more growth, with that being said, the front does appear some what pronounced I wouldn't say pluggy but its not as soft as one would hope for, but overall your looking so much better have you discussed this with Dr. Bhatti, it does look like there is stubble at the hairline maybe its still growing in but regardless if you have any concerns definitely speak with Dr. Bhatti.

thanks for the feedback htsoon. "pluggy" probably wasn't a good word to use, i didn't mean to be offensive to dr. bhatti.. i like what you said, "pronounced".

and you're right, i have come a long way! look at my before pictures here.

Definitely come a long way, hopefully in the next two months things soften up at the hairline if not you could always do a touch up, but just looking at your before pictures gives you an idea of how bald you really were I'd say norwood 5 now it looks like you just have a small thin patch at the crown.

Looks good, I do think front does look less softer. But looking through your hairline pictures.... on initial pictures the left side looked a bit unnatural, but at 9 months it looks perfectly natural. So i think the hairline too will soften with time.

What an improvement overall!!!, nice result.

here's a couple more random photos from 9 months. do you guys think the frontal hairlinee will "soften up" a bit or is 9 months a pretty good indication of where things will be in 12-18 months as well?

i suppose i can be patient and wait since speculating does no good... just thinking ahead

11 month update. i have not gotten a hair cut since my last update.

Nice improvement.

Observing from your photos, is your left side hair line looking a bit thin than the right?

or is it just a bad angle?

Decent improvement given where you started. I do feel that frontal hairline does look a little bit ''stuck on'', also there are significant gaps between hair follicles in the frontal region. Hope this will improve with time.

As Hairweare said before..... you would need another touch up to the crown and maybe at that time the frontal hairline could be bolstered up with more grafts.

But as I said overall decent improvement.

Hairline is slightly sparse. Needs more follicles in hairline, I think it does look a little far apart placed grafts and addition of more grafts in between may be will improve overall aesthetics.

Not sure you need to travel all the way back to India to fix this, few hundred follicles with someone local to your place should do it.

1 year update of frontal hairline. these are what i look like when i first wake up, no styling or combing. i was hoping the spacing between follicles would be less noticeable but perhaps my expectations were not realistic. i'll post more photos (when it's combed and with my styling products) as soon as possible.

I'm very sorry you're not happy with the results Butch, I do see sparse areas in the hairline. The good news is that you still have enough grafts to get it fixed so all is not lost.
