Regular Member butchcoolidge Posted September 1, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 1, 2015 many thanks guys! @husqvarnawrk - i've been shaving down to #1 every 3-4 weeks because i feel it disguises the ugly duckling stage a little bit better.. although I could be completely wrong and it's serving the opposite effect haha. maybe i'll leave it be for now and see how I look after 2 months or so

Regular Member butchcoolidge Posted November 5, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) 6 month update. these were taken a week ago.. i hadn't cut my hair in weeks so it's running a bit rampant the left side is coming in a lot fuller than the right side thus far, but i have a long way to go and am staying hopeful. Regular Member butchcoolidge Posted November 5, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2015 here's more taken a week ago, after some dermmatch is applied. for the first time in 6 months, i have been leaving the house without a hat (with dermmatch applied). no one, including friends and family has said anything, and i honestly don't think they notice i had anything done. Regular Member butchcoolidge Posted November 5, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2015 finally, here's another set of photos, taken a week ago like the rest. this time for fun i have dermmatch applied for adding density, as well as Samy Fat Hair '0' Calories Amplifying Creme and Jonathan Dirt Texturizing Paste. The samy's creme and dirt paste are an experiment as i am hopeful that at some point I can pull off the spiked in the front look... but looking at my photos, i'm not so sure that will be possible. Regular Member butchcoolidge Posted November 5, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2015 Looking good for 6 months why not toppik instead of dermmatch? thanks htsoon. i have tried toppik and while it looks good in the crown, it doesn't work good for the frontal hairline in my experience. since dermmatch dyes the scalp, it works pretty good for the frontal area. i also like that i can apply dermmatch with a brush (full control) versus dumping out toppik where I definitely still need practice

Regular Member manfrommars Posted November 9, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted November 9, 2015 Butch, Look at your own photos in the very first post of this thread, in May. Then look at the most recent ones from now. Keep them side by side. The difference is significant and of course for the better. I am sure, there would be many who would want hair like you now have. MfM

Just a question to the board. Would the use of toppik be appropriate (after 3 weeks or so) to help concela the ugly duckling phase? I myself am a heavy use of Toppik and am concerned about the recovery phase post HT?
