I have been on 2.5 mg OM for almost 14 months , and I can say with certainty that I have gained at least 5 pounds in weight , I have asked the opinion of others but have no definite answer from anyone . I have however stopped OM since 2 days so if it's water retention I will know within 10 days if I drop weight .

hi guys been on OM 2.5 mg daily since last 14 months , i,m observing serious weight gain since last 2 months , nothing has changed in my routine or diet and i also gym every other day , wanted to know if anyone else faces similar issues and what they did to resolve the weight issues .

Mark2010 said that Propecia causes Depression without giving any Valid scientific study . now what this does is that Many guys who read such posts , get pissed off and Never Try / quit Propecia as they do not want Depression . And so they eventually loose their Battle against Hair loss due to this .

This Mark2010 guy always comes up with these horror stories about propecia . its not new for him he is a total retard , just check how many posts he has regarding Propecia since so many years , I think he has No creative work left in life . I remember earlier some 8 months back "Spanker" had told me to ignore his posts as this Mark2010 guy was trying to push that propecia was the cause behind Depression with No valid scientific study . I think he has some phobia .

I am not arguing the lasting of the surgery , I am saying that density in the first year does not Hold after 14 months ... I think you got confused , The density that you enjoy at the start of the 8th Month till around 14 months , drops in the coming months and years .

I guess everyone does get itching after a HT , and that goes On and Off , but no one can really get rid of it , seems that the constant punching of the scalp makes it more DRY and Sensitive , If that wud lead to a Hair fall of Transplanted hair ? I really don't know ! All I can vouch for is that after about 14 months or so the Transplanted Hair looks thinner and less dense , I have spoken to many ppl and almost all agree that the Hair does not look as Dense as it did at months 10 , 11, 12 , 13 . Actual Patients have reported this on this forum many times , BUT No one is sure what causes it , some say donor Thinning , some say DHT from the frontal scalp playing on DHT Resistant Donor area , yet others say Hair Taken from None safe Zone, whatever it is I am 100 % sure that after the 1st year its a Downhill , you wont loose all ur HT hair but the Original Density will be Lost .

hi guys Need some help . wanna know if any guy here uses any product apart from the usual Toppik / hair fibres to make their hair look thicker after a HT ? Anyone using any wax or clay to add VOLUME and help hair appear Dense after a HT ! All inputs appreciated .

I feel that after the 12 months , many people do not feel the robustness that they felt after the 8 month onward , somehow I think that maybe as the hair matures back to its original form the wiry hair that were sprouting at the 6 - 8 month period begin to smooth out after say 14 months , hence many patients do feel as if they are loosing the Bulk . Many patients will echo the same with me , but I guess No doctor will agree .

But spanker Look at the source that put the report its from the British Government , surely that Adds a lot of Credibility . It was not written by the Original poster , if you click the Link you will know its from the UK Government site update !

I have a different approach to this . I have been vocal in many posts before this , that HT looses its Bulky density at around 12 months post the Transplant , till now I have not got a convincing answer . Now if you look at your HT at months 6 - 8 I do notice some decent density and what seems likely to be a Good End Result , then Bang there comes a time where you show loosing Hair in the Shampoo , and after that I suppose it was all downhill , This exactly has been observed by many patients , stellar growth then a downfall in Density. I hope you agree with me on this , That the excitement is short lived and these hair loose density . can you please give us your experience on this ?

I think all concealers Look like Dust when you are close enough from the person opposite you , from far it looks natural , But from very near I think they all Look fake because the all actually sink down to the skin of the head and not cling to the hair as they Claim . I have tried Caboki but found it very un-natural up close , looks like Crow shit .

This topic has been close to my heart , as I have always avoided the HT because of this factor , I have convincing evidence that after the first year or so the HT which looks WOW starts to decline in the following months and you Never get the Original 12 month WOW Factor back . MY research led me to conclude that its mainly due to Lack of Blood supply and this was clearly explained by Dr. Feller a few years back on this Forum . And I have met atleast 5 guys who echoed that their Transplants in the Frontal area fell off after the 16 month mark and never recovered , Not everything fell off , but the density was effected by atleast 30 % or More , which never got back . Maybe I am wrong , But I hope if many members here could share their Journeys we could conclude on knowing the Truth .

hi guys returning to a rather old querie . Has anyone found any Answer as to why The "Transplanted " Hair on the recipient Area seems to loose Density after 14 months onwards? I have been researching this since the last many months and have even met some guys who shared my confusion and admitted that they had Lost density on the Frontal and crown area and that which was slick bald before the HT , so obviously there were No native hair to start with , what I wish to understand is why does the person Loose Density after a good Dense HT ( 12 Months ) and suddenly realises down the line after say 2 years that they do not look as Dense as the 1st year post Operation . even I have read on many internet sites where many have claimed that they too has experienced the same ! well if that is really the Truth , I have reservations of spending money just to enjoy a year of Blessings and the get into Depression till I fix it again with another HT OR Regret going that route in the first place !!

I have been watching your videos on youtube and I stumbled across one vid wherein you mentioned that you had been affected by Telogen effluvium due to the high Stress Levels , I wanted to know if you could kindly let us know wheter The Stress made any Impact on your Final result ? Did the Stress drop Before you started getting the Growth Back from what you Shed due to The Telogen Effluvium ? OR The stress was still there BUT the Re-Growth Restarted on it own even when Stress was Not Addressed or Under Control ? Kindly awaiting your inputs as Stress seems so inevitable these days .

Hi , More than the results , which are obvious great , I like the Openness and truthful representation of the outcome , Really good lighting and the above top shown clearly , and also showing how illusion can be created and at the same time being open that you won't get the desired density that you had as a Teen . First and foremost I did not mention anything about the doctor or his work here , My question was straight and directed to you as you have been a FUE patient , here the dr was not even discussed , how and why you came to such conclusions only your mental arithmetic can possibly answer that call . if asking someone a question is hijacking a Post then my dear friend you need to understand the tonality and the manner in which it is asked , I suppose Gentleman does not suit your ethics , I know you have a vested interest in supporting your doctor as you are his rep. But please do not make it so obvious that even a ant can suspect your motif , And BTW how does this jepodise the patients psyche , It was a general question regarding FUE , so you mean all the guys who were / are having / Planning FUE would be biting their brains in dismay ? Grow Up Dude ! Regarding a jilted ex gf , I don't think any girl would risk walking her life with a person who has No Gentlemanly qualities .

Hi Shera . greetings , I wanted to know if you have any loss of density after 14-18 months post your HT , as a few of my friends are having issues with loss of density in the Transplanted area after 14 months and they have till today not regained the Lost density , they were pretty happy with the results till around 14 months when they stated that their Transplanted hair was Loosing Thickness and looking thinner , Are you experiencing anything like this , pls inform .

Results after 3 years are not good , I would not call this a success at all , very thin and exposed scalp . No density .

great result , was any Concealer like Toppik used ? , in so little grafts the density looks too good to be true , just my 2 cents .

thanks for your opinion , But my friends have been waiting forever , it have been over 2 years Now and the density has Never returned to the 1 year Robustness . I suspect Transplanted hair do have limitations but I am not sure wheter it is donor Miniaturization or something else , because both my friends have done Biopsy of the donor to figure out if they had DHT donors as well , both had negative outcomes , so the donor DHT is quiet likely not the root cause . But in any case these are 2 people , why we ask here is that because we will get to know from a vast majority of Patients who have been having something similar to report post 2 years , also I know many just leave the forum once they achieve a good HT and after a year stop coming here . But maybe I need some inputs from the experts here like Gillenator , David , Bill and many more .

Ok guys just a News if you will . I met a guy recently around 4 days back and as we were introduced through a common friend , I asked out of curiousity if he had a HT as his hairline was looking more defined than his age ( he is 39 ) he told me yes , and then the convo got going and I told him about my 2 friends and asked him if he had similar experience to share .... TO MY HORROR ... he has also CHIMED "That in the 1st year his HT from FUE did Look very Robust " by following the next few months it has Mellowed and is not as thick as it was ... Now he also ran after his surgeon for Answers ..... ANd the Same "maybe" this or That !!! I wonder if we as Patients can get any Concrete answers .... But Here is my Take , and pls note that this is Not to start a Debate on Anyone , But I have Noticed this on our Best Man David , its my opinion , that in the 1 year after his HT which i read was FUE , I think His Hair is also Not looking as Robust as it was at the 10 - 12 month Mark. I just base my Observation looking at his Picture on profile . Maybe he can Help us with his own inputs that would be greatly appreciated as None of the doctors here seem to address this very important question . David we need your experience !

I think the surgeons are themselves in a dilemma over this , otherwise some logical explaination would have been found on the internet , There is a thread above that has the Baldthruth site where this was first reported in 2010 , phew 6 years and still no Research on this . It is pretty dismal that even on Real self site I read reports of guys asking doctors why their HT fell off after 1.5 years ... even there No clear answer , Lets us see what David / Bill do over this issue and How well the Coalition surgeons on this site respond to this request by the Mods .
