Senior Member scooter Posted June 2, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Thanks eveyone for the comments, super excited for the summer. I knew going in that my expectations were high, and I knew when I chose Dr Arocha I was in very good hands. The surgery and recovery was pretty much a breeze. The work was so clean, I can say I kept expecting the dreaded shockloss period but I believe I didnt have any , just a little by the donor ( which is still returning) Before I knew it, the transplanted hairs were growing. So far I am extremely pleased with my progress. I can actually style my hair now and it is great ! Thanks for the feedback and encouragement. Senior Member scooter Posted June 2, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Dr. Arocha's results look good from what I have seen. I don't want t travel out of the country and Texas is not too far away. You should contact Dr.Arocha s office and set up a consult, they can also do either/or skype or facetime. They are casual , yet professional, no pressure . You'll be glad you did. Waiting for the temple area to thicken up and the minimal shockloss around a small part of my donor area to grow back which it is slowly, but I know it will return in time. 1st HT 1973 FUT's with Dr.Robert Mcclellan 6/28/2007 *unfortunately I have no info on hair count on my 1st surgery .. 2nd HT 3026 FUT's with Dr. Bernadino Arocha 1/9/2014 1's - 797 2's - 3700 3's - 246 5634 hairs http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/attachment.php?attachmentid=54945&d=1389315686 3026 FUTs 1 day HT#2 post op frontal picture

Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted November 6, 2014 Looks great, Scooter. Really thickening up now and getting longer. You are the second poster I have recently run across who had a procedure 5-10 years ago, yet there wasn't much evidence you had a procedure before your ht#2. Do you have any thoughts on why you did not retain many of your grafts/hairs from your 2007 procedure? I am just wondering if we should all be thinking about maintenance in a different way to ensure we retain our grafts and keep on growing.

When I had my HT in 2007, it was a very small amt of grafts for the area. I probably would have been better off with about 3500 forbthe area. Also this was before I knew much about this type of surgery so we wanted to be safe and start small and see if another procedure was something worth pursuing. I was happy enough using concealers until last year I decided I wanted to add more and with a top Doctor. That's when I found Dr.Arocha and couldn't be more pleased with my results.
